Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku squeezed Light's hips gently. "Still hurts?" he asked softly, referring to her heart. After all she did recently, he wasn't all that surprised. But he did want to help, any way he could.

"Mm," Light hummed softly, nodding faintly as well. Yes, it still hurt. But she wasn't going to collapse or fall to her knees, not like she had done one time when they were traveling and looking for Darren. This pain just nagged her and didn't threaten to create any dramatic scenes like other "episodes".
Riku frowned slightly, unhappy to hear that. But... "You get ready for bed. I'll go take care of the sleeping arrangements," he offered softly. He wanted her to take it easy.

Light looked at Riku's chest, knowing that he wouldn't want a fight. Best just to give in. "There are extra sheets and pillows in the closet right by Serah's room," she said softly, giving him the information he needed. "The two couches in the living room fold out into futons, and the recliner should be comfortable enough for one person." She looked back up at Riku, that information being all that she could think of off the top of her head for sleeping arrangements.
Riku nodded once, loosening his hold on Light's hips. "See you in a few," he said softly. He stepped over to the side, his hands leaving her sides as he started out of the room.

Light nodded slightly, her hands coming off Riku's arms when he walked away. She glanced over at him but then went to her dresser, pulling out sweatpants and a tank top she could wear to bed. That, and the watch she kept here. She knew she should have kept it on her wrist the past few days, but she didn't want to risk it getting broken. She put it back on now, hoping it wouldn't need to activate anytime during the night.
Riku came out and explained the sleeping situation to them all, which they had expected. Aqua and Terra would take one of the futons, as well as Sora and Kairi. Ven would take the recliner and Roxas and Namine would take the extra bed in Serah's room. Once the sheets were set, she climbed onto her and Terra's futon, laying down so her head was on the pillow. She was exhausted.

While Riku went out and sorted out the sleeping arrangements, Light actually got a quick shower, since she felt dirty. She then put on her clean clothes and watch before she climbed into bed, lights out even if she knew Riku was coming back. He could see fine in the dark, so she wasn't concerned.
Riku said goodnight to his friends before heading back to Lightning's room, shutting the door behind him. The room was dark, not that it mattered much. He took off his shoes and shirt, though he grabbed a pair of lounge pants he kept here at her house. He changed into them when he was in the bathroom and brushed his teeth before heading back out to the bedroom. Light was already there, so he approached the bed in silence.

Light heard Riku's soft movements for a few minutes, not asleep yet. She wasn't comfortable enough to sleep, even if she was exhausted. After a few nights out of her own bed, she should have lost consciousness right away, but she didn't. Oh well. She remained on her side, her back towards Riku and the bathroom.
Riku climbed into bed beside Light, though he rested on his back instead of his side. He put one hand behind his head, the other resting on his stomach as he released a small breath. He was tired, but he wasn't going to fall asleep right away. He was wondering about the future, and what was in store for all of them.

Light sensed Riku lay down on his back, and since she wanted to be closer to him, she carefully turned so she was on her other side. And once she was comfortable, she lifted a hand and lightly set it on Riku's that was on his stomach, her arm over his. His warmth was soothing.
Riku felt his heart grow warm at the touch, and he knew Light was awake by the movement. "Hey, Light?" he called softly. He had a question, and he needed her opinion.

"Mm?" Light hummed in question, opening her eyes and looking at Riku in front of her. It sounded like he had a question, and whatever it was, she was ready to hear it.
"What do you think...will happen to us?" Riku asked quietly, his eyes still on the ceiling, his eyebrows furrowing. Come tomorrow, things were going to change. He just had this feeling. But what about their future together? Would there be one?
  • Author
Lightning looked down a little, seeing Riku's shoulder within her line of vision. "We'll always be together, as long as we're alive," she said softly, meaning it. She knew that she could never feel for anybody like she did for Riku, and she didn't plan on letting him go out of her life. And she had a feeling he felt the same.
Riku hummed softly, not having to ask if that was a promise. He could tell by the tone of Light's voice that it was an oath to keep, and he would as well. He wanted her, forever, just like she told him not too long ago. She wanted him forever, and that was more than enough.

"What do you think?" Light asked softly after a moment, not looking up at Riku's face. She heard his hum, which sounded like an agreement to what she said, but she wanted to hear him speak his thoughts in his own way.
"I know I wanna be with you," Riku said, focusing on the ceiling with his eyes, though he concentrated physically on her hand that rested atop his. But he was still a little worried. They would be worlds apart, wouldn't they?
  • Author
Light hummed in return, letting her eyes shut again. That was pretty obvious, whether he meant physically or relationally. She wanted to be with him too, but them being worlds apart would cause problems. He was going to Destiny Islands, but she had to make a choice on if she was going to keep them separated or go with him.
"...But I have my concerns," Riku said after that small hum. One of them was the worlds, the other being his parents and how much attention he would have to give them now, ever since their talk. And there was also his responsibility as Keyblade Master, and the consequences of wielding the weapon. He brought the Heartless to Cocoon once before; he didn't want to do it again.
  • Author
Lightning nodded slightly against the pillow, having already figured that out as well. Of course he had concerns; that was why this was such a big deal. He didn't want her giving up her life and coming with him to Destiny Islands. But what was her life without Riku now? She didn't want to find out.
Riku wanted Lightning as his, always, and he hoped they had that kind of future together. But for now, they had to focus on other things. Marriage... It couldn't fit in right now, at least in his eyes.

Lightning felt herself start dozing off at the silence, her arm with the watch on it on top of Riku's. She didn't think about that, though, only hoping Riku didn't have anything else to say. Suddenly, she just couldn't stay conscious.
Riku knew that the worlds had to be sorted out first, and that would be moving the residents of the Islands back to their original home. He would have to help, and that would take a day at least. He didn't know how long he would be away from Light, but he would visit. He would make sure of it.
