Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Claire exhaled a soft breath, losing consciousness after her conversation with Riku ended. It was time to catch up on the rest she needed, and this time, take it easy long enough for her heart to actually recover. The last thing that she wanted was surgery to fix the wound.
Riku was lost in his thoughts for a few minutes, but when he finally came out of it, he heard Light's even breathing. No more conversation, he thought, recognizing that she was asleep. He would do the same, and rest. He closed his eyes, keeping the same position. He turned his hand on his stomach, lightly gripping Light's that was there. See you in the morning.

Light briefly was aware of the warmth that held her hand, though she remained unconscious without waking up from her slumber. She had slept beside Riku the past few nights, in fields and places like that. And even then, she enjoyed it. As long as she was with Riku, she would be happy. Always.

A week later

Riku hopped off his glider in a secluded area of Bodhum, a block away from the hospital. He jogged the rest of the way, seeing the large building up ahead and knowing who was waiting inside. Lightning. She was getting surgery today, to fix the wound in her heart. It was all that could be done to settle the problem, so she was up for it. He, on the other hand, had been busy the last few days trying to get things worked out on the Islands, so he hadn't been around much. He and Sora had been checking things out to make sure the Islands were even safe for the others, but he had to cut his search short so he could be with Light, before and after surgery.

Lightning was already up at the front desk, giving the receptionist the paperwork she just spent half an hour filling out. She was trying to buy Riku some time before she went into surgery, since she knew he wanted to see her. But she accepted now that something came up and he couldn't make it. It was alright.
The doors to the hospital slid open, and Riku walked in, not completely breathless due to this run. He recognized the pink hair of his beloved immediately, and he started toward her as he slowed his pace. Good, she wasn't in surgery yet; he wanted to be here before she went in.

Lightning nodded slightly to the receptionist, who told her a nurse would be out in a minute to lead her back to an area to prepare her for surgery. She turned and walked back to her seat without noticing somebody entered the doors, her focus elsewhere. She hated surgery; this wasn't going to be pleasant at all. But she tried letting her heart heal on its own and it didn't work, so this was her only choice.
Riku crossed the room, his eyes stuck on Lightning. "Light," he called softly, the waiting room quiet for the most part. She was still here, which meant he could be with her until she left. He knew she would be alright, but still... It was just something he wanted to do.

Light blinked at the soft voice, the call bringing her out of her thoughts. She turned her head and looked over in the direction it came from, seeing who was walking over to her. "You made it," she said softly, stating the obvious. She was...glad. She said it wasn't a big deal if he came or not, but she felt better seeing him here.
Riku nodded once. "Of course I did," he said, stopping next to her before taking the open seat beside her. He wouldn't abandon her, especially since Serah wasn't here to provide her own support. He would take care of that.

Light felt a smile tug at her lips, though she didn't smile because of the circumstances. "You cut it pretty close," she stated softly. That was why she thought that he wasn't coming. She was going in any minute now, after all. And the surgery would take hours.
"Sorry," Riku said, ruffling his silver hair. "I got here as fast as I could." The time in Destiny Islands was opposite that in Cocoon, which he had to keep reminding himself of. That was partially why he was late, the other being his prior responsibility with the Islands.

"That's alright," Light said, softly shaking her head and looking up to Riku's eyes after glancing away for a second. "I told you that you didn't even have to come, remember?" She didn't want this surgery to be a big deal, especially since Riku had so many other things to worry about.
"You think I would pass it up? It's surgery, Light," Riku replied, eyebrows furrowing slightly. "It's kind of a big deal, especially since it's on your heart." He didn't like the idea, but there was nothing he could do. They tried everything, but it was time for a professional to fix the problem. He obviously wasn't capable.

Light glanced away, knowing Riku was right. "It's not the first surgery I've had," she stated softly. She had to come here after a training mishap (the other guy's fault, not hers). And she hated that she would be drugged; it took a while for them to wear off for her. But heart surgery...Yeah, this would be her first.
Riku kept his eyes on Light even if she looked away, though he was silent after what she said. "...You okay?" he asked softly. He wasn't sure if she was scared or not, since he couldn't tell. He had a feeling she would say no, though. Light was fearless in a lot of conditions.

"Yeah," Light said with a small nod, not looking up at Riku's eyes even if she wasn't lying to him. "I just hate surgeries." The recoveries took too long, and the drugs were just awful. She wasn't looking forward to this at all.
"You'll be alright," Riku said, lifting a hand to set on Light's shoulder closest to him. "Once the drugs wear off, you'll be as good as new." She'd feel better, which he would be happy about. He hated seeing her suffer.

Light shook her head faintly, disagreeing with a part of that. "The 'good-as-new' part will come after a week of being confined to bed," she said, making a face. She wasn't allowed to do anything strenuous for a long time, so the wound healed properly. That was going to be hard.
Riku shrugged. "I'll be around to keep you company if you want," he offered gently. He wouldn't mind, but he did have to help with the Islands some time or another. He would have to leave Light when she was sleeping to go do that.

Lightning shook her head softly, lifting her gaze to Riku's eyes. "I know you have a lot of work to do," she said softly. She couldn't keep him from the work he had to do, especially since it concerned his home. It was important stuff, stuff that he couldn't put off for her sake.
"I'll still try to be around as much as I can," Riku said, squeezing Light's shoulder gently. He never liked being away from her for too long, anyway. But...setting things right with the worlds was a big responsibility of his; he couldn't neglect it either.

Light nodded faintly, lifting her hand and setting it on Riku's on her shoulder. "Thanks," she said softly. She wouldn't like him seeing her when she was weak, but she would appreciate his company.
Riku nodded once, humming softly. It was no big deal, but this surgery was. Which was why he was going to be with her any chance he got. Light would need someone's support, wouldn't she?

Lightning heard the nurse call her last name, and she shifted her gaze to the door that led to the back. "I have to go," she said softly to Riku, looking back to him. She'd see him when she woke up, or so she expected. That was what she hoped, too.
