Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku smiled softly and nodded, lifting his hand from Light's shoulder to her pink hair. "Good luck," he said quietly. She would be alright. When he saw her, she may be a little groggy and out of it, but she would be alright.

Light nodded faintly, her hand coming back to her lap when Riku moved his. She savored his hand against her hair for a moment before she pushed herself up from the chair, tearing her gaze away from him and to the nurse who was waiting. She walked to that area with her hands in loose fists by her sides. Let's hope this won't be as bad as I'm making it out to be.
Riku watched Light go in silence, his hand resting on the arm of the chair he was in now that she was gone. He would see her later, however long the surgery was. And then he would be with her until she got to go home.

A few hours

The surgery took a long time, since the heart was something that even trained surgeons had to be careful with. But the surgery was successful and the wound was sewn shut so that it could naturally heal the rest of the way. Light was still out cold nearly an hour after the surgery, in the room that she was the only patient in. She wouldn't have even known if somebody was with her or not.

Riku sat at Light's bedside, one hand holding hers closest to him while his other was on her forehead. He moved his thumb over the skin of her forehead in silence, just gazing at her. It had been an hour, but she was still out. He wasn't worried; it was just the drugs. She would wake up soon.

Light grunted softly in her sleep, eyebrows furrowing a little as the drugs started wearing off. Ugh... She hated this feeling, being drugged and then waking up from it. It always took a while for the drugs to wear off, since there was so much in her small body.
Riku blinked at the grunt, but he didn't move. He kept his thumb running over Light's forehead, his other hand tightening around hers. His eyes were soft with concern and love as he gazed at her. He never thought he would be in this position, but here he was. Lightning proved him wrong about a lot of things, and he kind of preferred it that way.

Light started becoming more aware of her surroundings as the seconds ticked by, the grip on her hand also something that she was confused about in her grogginess. And she felt somebody stroking her forehead, too. But she was too out of it to place a name to those feelings, even if it should have been obvious who it was. But for now, she would just enjoy having somebody with her, somebody who could see her at her strongest and weakest moments.
Riku lifted Light's hand to his lips, kissing it gently before carefully lowering it back to the bed. "Love you," he whispered softly, unable to help himself. He was glad he was the one with her, and even if his world was important to him, he didn't want to be with anyone else.

Light heard the soft-spoken words and felt the gesture, the name of her beloved popping into her head immediately. "Riku?" she murmured after a few moments, not opening her eyes. She was so out of it, and the drugs were making her feel emotional for no reason. She hated it.
Riku nodded, humming softly. "Yeah, it's me," he replied softly, his thumb still running over Light's forehead as he gazed at her. She was awake...and hopefully feeling better. He didn't want her to suffer any longer.

"I hate drugs," Light murmured, that being the only thing she could think of to tell Riku. It was the truth, because she felt totally off balance with so many drugs in her system. But at least her heart wasn't hurting.
Riku smirked a little, squeezing Light's hand. "They'll wear off in a little while," he said softly. He knew she would be happy about that, but she also had to be patient. They would help with her recovery.

Light frowned slightly, able to tell by Riku's tone that he was smiling. "Better wipe that smirk off your face before I find the energy to do it for you," she mumbled, though she was just kidding. Even in her groggy, drugged state, she couldn't dream of giving Riku a real threat.
"Hmph. Touchy," Riku commented then, his smirk fading as he pulled his hand back from Light's head. He figured it was the drugs that were making her act this way, though it was usual Lightning. He shouldn't have been surprised.

"Drugs make me moody," Light warned, her voice becoming a little more clear as she woke up more. She was a little ticked at Riku for smirking when this was obviously unpleasant, but she knew that she was just overreacting. The drugs were making her overemotional.
"I see," Riku said then, lifting an eyebrow slightly. Light sure was moody, but he wouldn't hold it against her. It was just the drug the doctor gave her, which he said would wear off soon.

Lightning read Riku's tone as one of being offended, and when she opened her eyes and looked over at him, his expression supported her thoughts. "Sorry," she said softly, apologizing for something she couldn't control. She even felt tears appear in her eyes, just because she didn't want to offend Riku.
"Don't sweat it," Riku said, shaking his head a little as his eyebrow lowered. He saw the moisture in Light's eyes, which caught him by surprise a little. What was wrong?

Light nodded slightly and turned her head on the pillow so she was looking up towards the ceiling, her eyes remaining moist. She couldn't get the tears to go away, even if she knew she was only feeling these emotions because of the drugs. But still...she didn't hurt Riku with her being so emotional, did she?
Riku ran his thumb over the skin of Light's hand, just gazing at her in wonder. He had a feeling it was the drugs, the side effects bad for Light. But, she would be alright soon; he was sure of it.

Light lifted her free arm and used it to cover her eyes, even if she did have a device on her index finger to monitor her pulse. The cord was long enough it didn't affect her. "Can you distract me?" she requested softly, eyes shut as the moisture remained. She had to make the emotions go away.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed at the request, but he nodded. "Yeah," he said softly. First, he had to think of something to distract her with. The only thing he had was the progress with the Islands. "...Sora and I were out looking at the Islands today, and Ven and the others were with us. We think we might be able to move everyone back in the next day or two, if things go well."

Lightning nodded softly, her arm still over her eyes as she felt the sorrow start fading away. "Are things pretty damaged from the Ice Titan?" she asked quietly. Everything was frozen, after all, so it was possible some things were damaged. But her logic could have been flawed.
"When all of the ice and snow melted, things got a little flooded," Riku said with a small shrug, his eyes moving to Light's hand in his. "The damage can be fixed." The Islands' residents were always enthusiastic and full of energy; they would do their best to help out.
