Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku brought his other hand up, setting it on top of Light's against the one trapped in her grasp. "Don't worry," he told her gently. "I'm not going anywhere." She could be in here for a few days, and he wouldn't leave. Not for anything.

Light nodded softly again, opening her moist eyes and looking up at Riku. "I don't want to be alone," she said softly, her voice expressing vulnerability. She couldn't help it, though. A part of her wondered how much the drugs were affecting her, because her desire to stay with Riku didn't seem extreme because of the drugs. It was extreme...because the feelings were true. She didn't want to be alone.
Riku's eyes softened a little in concern, seeing the look in Lightning's eyes. "Light..." he said quietly, squeezing her hand, though it was hard given how tightly she was holding his. It would be alright; there was no reason to get so emotional...

Crap. Now you've got him worried. Lightning loosened her grip on his hand, completely releasing it and then rolling over onto her side so her back was to Riku. "Sorry," she murmured on behalf of her emotional state, though tears still were in her eyes. She shut them, almost wanting Riku to leave so he didn't see her like this.
Riku's hands came back to his lap when Light turned over, and his eyes stayed on her. Don't apologize, he thought silently. She didn't do anything wrong, at least in his eyes. What did she have to be sorry about?

Light lifted her arm and used it to shield her eyes, any moisture that escaped her orbs going right into her arm. Stupid. This is so stupid... It didn't help that she was really, really tired. She just wanted to pass out; was that so much to ask?
Riku lifted a hand to run over his short hair, looking down at the bedsheets. What was he supposed to say now? He couldn't ask what was wrong, because it was obvious that the surgery was a big deal. But...did he miss something? Or was Lightning just tired?

Light lowered her arm after a few moments, sighing a soft breath in tiredness. Alright, she was just going to fall asleep for a while, and hope that the drugs wouldn't make her emotions so crazy from this point on. If she stayed awake, she would just worry Riku more with her behavior.
I meant what I said, Riku thought as he leaned back in his seat, crossing his arms. I'm not going anywhere. He would stay right here, in this room with Light for as long as she was stuck in the bed. She needed him...or so he liked to think.

Lightning fell asleep within a few minutes, though the few tears that she had been holding back slid down her cheeks when she didn't fight them anymore. It was alright. Once she woke up, she wouldn't be so crazy with her emotions. Hopefully.

The next day

Riku opened the door for Lightning, holding it open for her so she could walk inside her house. She finally got to go home after her surgery, and right now, she seemed a little out of it. He knew it was because of the drugs, but he had a feeling they would wear off soon enough. Or so he hoped. The day before when Lightning was on drugs, she was really emotional. He didn't want that for her.

Light nodded her thanks to Riku when she walked past him, the girl entering her home and feeling relieved at the sight of it. She had only been in the hospital for a day, and she was allowed out under the circumstances that somebody would be here to take care of her and keep her from doing anything strenuous. Of course Riku offered to do that position. She was alright with it, sort of. At least she wouldn't be emotional; it was the sedative that always made her a wreck, not the painkillers she was on now. But she still felt groggy all the time, which was torture.
It was daylight, so Riku didn't bother turning on the lights in the house. He shut the door once he walked in, turning his head to look at Lightning as she walked further into the room. He volunteered to stay with her as she recovered, so whatever needed to be done, he would be the one doing it. He had no problem with it.

Lightning stopped a few steps in, turning around to look at Riku when she felt his gaze on her. "I'm going to get a quick shower, okay?" she asked, though she knew he couldn't stop her from doing that. She felt disgusting from being cooped up in that hospital.
Riku nodded slightly. "You hungry?" he asked then, thinking ahead. "I can make you something while you get cleaned up." If she wanted, that is. If Light wasn't hungry, he would call Serah and let her know everything went well and Light was back home.

"I can make something," Light said, shaking her head faintly to Riku's offer. He was already going to be stuck with her; there was no need for him to wait on her hand and foot. But he would probably insist, since the doctor even said on his list that standing for more than twenty minutes was out of the question. She had already broken that rule walking home, but oh well.
Riku shrugged. "No big deal," he said softly. He would do it while she was busy, that way she didn't have to worry about it. Light could eat and then rest, like the doctor ordered. She wasn't supposed to do anything strenuous, and sometimes, that included cooking meals.

Light glanced to the side briefly, figuring Riku wouldn't give this up. And she was hungry for something other than hospital food. "...Just don't go overboard," she requested softly, looking to Riku again. She didn't need anything formal, or many side-dishes to go with whatever Riku wanted to make.
Riku smirked and walked forward. "No worries," he said softly, then clasping his hand on Light's shoulder. "See you in a few." He squeezed her shoulder gently before letting go, starting toward the kitchen.

Lightning hummed softly, a small smile finding a place on her lips as she looked over her shoulder and watched Riku walk away. She stared at him for a few moments lovingly before she turned and started for the bathroom, ready to get washed up and comfortable.
Riku got started on the food, already knowing where everything was in the kitchen since it was practically his home away from home. He worked on cooking Lightning some soup, since she told him not to be over the top with lunch. That was fine, because he could cook, but he wasn't the best cook around.

Lightning took a longer shower than she first anticipated, just because the warmth of the water felt so good. She changed into sweats and a tank top when she was done and dry, the girl letting her damp pink hair dangle over her shoulder as always. She glanced in the mirror and ignored the scar she got from surgery as she walked out to the living room, smelling soup as soon as she reached the room.
Riku already had the soup set on the table, so he approached the fridge, looking for a bottle of water for Light. He found one and grabbed it, shutting the door to the fridge before tossing the water casually in his hand. She was taking a long shower, but he understood; the hospital left a person feeling kind of gross once they left.

Light entered the kitchen and leaned her side against the doorway, glancing at the table and then to Riku when he tossed the water up on his hand. Looks like he's bored, she thought. It seemed like she took too long in the shower, but oh well. She knew he didn't mind waiting.
"Soup's ready," Riku said, not looking at Light as he twirled her water in his hand. He approached the table and set it down, putting a hand on the back of the chair before finally looking over at her. He knew she was there; he could smell her, and he felt her gaze on him. It wasn't that hard to figure out.
