Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Kairi looked away at that, instantly thinking of her grandmother. "I know that," she replied softly, staring at a patch of flowers nearby. "But...I have Leon and Yuffie, and Aerith and Cloud too. They'll keep me company." Or so she hoped. They would probably be busy most of the time, but she wouldn't mention that.

Sora shook his head softly. "They're not your family, Kairi," he said softly. He was her family, and so were Riku, Roxas, Namine, and the others. "And you may have been born here, but this isn't your home. ...Don't you think you were sent to Destiny Islands for a reason?" To be that place's Light? To be with me?
"I already know the reason, since Aqua told me," Kairi said quietly, keeping her gaze away from Sora's. "She put a spell on my pendant so that if my Light was ever in trouble, the Light of another would protect me. But...there's no danger here, Sora." She looked at her necklace, letting one of her hands leave Sora to hold it as it hung from her neck. "I'm safe. And even if I do go back, I don't technically have a family there, either. The Mayor..." He kicked her out, even if he didn't mean to. It was too awkward to go back.

"You can move into my house," Sora immediately offered, that being his first instinct. His parents couldn't possibly refuse, and if they did...He'd find some way to change things around. He wasn't going to be separated from Kairi. Whether she liked it or not, she wasn't really safe. There was always going to be danger.
Kairi closed her eyes, her head already lowered from looking at her necklace. "No..." she said softly, shaking her head slightly. She couldn't have Sora do that, or put his parents through that kind of situation. They were all too sweet and kind; it wouldn't be fair.

"Yes, Kairi," Sora said more firmly, his hands on her shoulders tightening but not hurting her. "...You're wrong about there being no danger here. Or any directed to you. ...I'm not done protecting you yet," he said, speaking the last sentence more softly and looking at Kairi's face. He would never be done protecting her, and that was okay with him.
Kairi stayed silent, only shaking her head in disbelief. She knew why Sora was fighting this, but didn't he see her side of things? Didn't she belong here? There was a reason she was brought back to Radiant Garden to live, a reason besides Jafar's cruelty. Wasn't it fate?

"You're meant to be Destiny Islands' Light now, and mine," Sora said softly. Her fate was to return to their home with him, and be happy and with her family. Fate wouldn't keep her alone, and away from him. They were meant to be together.
Kairi didn't move at that, Sora's words ringing in her ears and squeezing her heart. I am your Light, always, she thought silently. But, the Islands had their own Light now. Him, and the other Keyblade warriors. They could protect it, while she couldn't.

"...I need you with me, Kairi," Sora concluded softly. He couldn't live without her by his side; she was a part of who he was. She held onto his heart, after all, and he couldn't have her worlds apart from him. And plus, there really was danger. He was meant to be her protector, so he needed her close. There were so many reasons why she needed to come home with him.
Kairi's eyes stung at that, and she tightened her grip on Sora's shirt with the hand that was still there. "Sora..." she started faintly, opening her eyes to stare at his chest. "I want to go with you. I do, really. But...what about the people here? What if they need me?" If they did, she was meant to stay, wasn't she?
  • Author
"...They haven't needed you most of your life," Sora said gently. The world continued and was now thriving without Kairi staying her and being their source of Light. They were fine without her, and they would be that way again soon. Hopefully.
Kairi looked up at Sora at that, her eyes stinging with unshed tears. "...Don't say that," she begged him softly. He couldn't say that to her, because that would make this decision worse. It was already hard...too hard.

"Kairi," Sora said gently, taking a hand off her shoulder and setting it on her cheek. "It seems like Radiant Garden has another Light now. Destiny Islands doesn't..." Not that he could see, anyway. Aqua had a bright Light, but it wasn't Kairi's. It wouldn't be enough to help the world recover from what it just went through.
Kairi kept her eyes on Sora's, taking in what he said. Radiant Garden had a new Light? They didn't need her anymore? She was the Princess of Heart, though, from this world. They did need her...didn't they? "...Ven has a pure heart," she hinted quietly. He could be the Islands' Light.

Sora shook his head slightly. "You're meant to be Destiny Island's Light," he said softly. He knew, because she was sent to their world. She was meant to stay with him, her protector. How could she want to throw it all away for people she didn't even know? Or was he just being selfish in wanting to keep her to himself?
Kairi could only stare at Sora with moist eyes, not knowing how to reply to that. She wanted to believe that she could help this world...somehow. At the festival, the people seemed so proud to have her as their Princess. But...was she really worth all of the hype?
  • Author
"You're meant to be my Light..." Sora said weakly. "...And you're just throwing it away?" This wasn't right. He refused that he was being selfish; he was certain that Kairi was meant to be in Destiny Islands, and be the world's Light and his Light. He couldn't see it being any other way.
Kairi's eyebrows furrowed, her watery eyes narrowing as well. "I'm not throwing anything away," she said calmly in her defense, though her voice held an edge to it. How could Sora think that was what she was doing? She would never!
  • Author
This time, Sora was the one who just stared back at the person across from him. How did she not see this as throwing away everything? She was pretty much "firing" him of his job as her protector...his job as her lover would come next. That was what he feared enough to assume that was what would happen.
Kairi let go of Sora then, both of her hands coming back down to her sides. The expression on her face remained, the girl staring at the boy she loved in disbelief. "I'm trying to protect my people," she said then, her voice a little shaky from the tears that wanted to spill, but also firm because of what she had just been accused of. "I was born here. I feel like I need to at least try and help them. What's wrong with that?"
  • Author
"The problem is that they don't need your help, Kairi," Sora said, taking his hands back and putting them by his sides. "But we do. Destiny Islands is going to need a lot of Light to recover from what just happened." And he already said he needed her...He was a bit offended she could put the well being of strangers above that of her lover.
Kairi crossed her arms over her chest tightly, looking away at that. Radiant Garden didn't need her...but the Islands did? She didn't understand. She didn't even know how to use her powers, so what good could she do for the Islands? "I'm useless," she said lowly. "I can't do anything but stand there." It was almost humiliating.
  • Author
"You don't believe that," Sora stated, shaking his head. "You believed you could help Radiant Garden. Why not Destiny Islands?" Kairi was being hypocritical; it was like this was just a cover up for some other reason she didn't want to go home. But he wouldn't accuse her of that until he had more evidence that was the case.
Kairi didn't say anything at first, instead just standing there. She felt she could help Radiant Garden because they were all so supportive of her at the festival; it was flattering, and she wanted to do something in return. But when had the Islands ever done that? It wasn't about fame for her, necessarily. She just wanted to be appreciated for her title and not just "Kairi", the "sweetheart". Besides, she didn't feel like she had a home back on the Islands. "...I do believe that," Kairi finally answered. She was good for nothing but being kidnapped or put in danger these days. She wanted it to change.
