Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Terra entered the shopping district, and he noticed children run past him in a game of tag. He glanced down at them but then looked forward, surprised to see Riku and Kairi here. He had never run into them in town before, but maybe that was because he spent most of his time on the beach sparring with Ven.

Kairi watched the kids run further away, but when she looked at the person that they nearly collided with, she straightened up. Terra? What was he doing in town?

Riku didn't see Terra, his eyes still unfocused as he searched his thoughts for any sort of answer to this little mystery. The nightmares haunted him and Kairi for weeks, and then they suddenly just disappear? It didn't make any sense.

"Hey," Terra said in greeting, stopping a few feet away from Riku and Kairi. He noticed Riku pacing, and he immediately wondered if everything was alright. But he wouldn't ask right away; maybe the two teens would automatically open up.

Riku stopped pacing when he recognized that voice. Instead, he stopped next to Kairi, looking up at the person who stood just a little bit taller than him. "Terra," he said in surprise. He hadn't seen him in days.

Kairi was just as surprised as Riku by the appearance, but she didn't say anything. Instead, she remained in her spot, looking up at the man in silence.

"How's it going?" Terra asked, a faint smile on his lips as he tried to initiate conversation with the two teens he already considered to be his friends. Aqua had filled him in on everything, and he hoped that they were doing better now that Vanitas was defeated forever.
Riku glanced back at Kairi, meeting her eyes before turning back to face Terra. "Better," he said with a small nod. He wasn't exactly sure why, but it was.
  • Author
"Yeah?" Terra asked, hoping that one of them would elaborate on that. He was glad to hear they were better, but he was curious if their nightmares were just less intense or if they were completely gone. He hoped it was the latter, considering the trouble that defeating Vanitas caused for Sora.
"Mm," Kairi hummed with a small nod. "Um...we're not exactly sure...how, but things have turned around in such a short time. It's kind of relieving, actually." She smiled weakly, though it didn't last long. Her nightmares may have disappeared, but she didn't know if the illusions were still present...since she hadn't seen Sora.

Terra furrowed his eyebrows slightly, hearing Kairi say that they didn't know how things turned around. He had thought Aqua was going to speak to them about that..."You guys don't know how it changed?" Well, he supposed that he would have to be the bearer of the news.
Kairi shook her head, glancing up at Riku when he did the same thing. They hadn't had any idea. It was strange, really, but they accepted it anyway.

Terra folded his arms over his chest, eyebrows furrowed a little as he started telling them what happened. "When Sora found out what was happening, he went to Master Yen Sid to try and fix things." But unfortunately, the events that unfolded from that meeting weren't too good, since Sora ended up losing his Keyblade.

Kairi blinked at the name, and she and Riku shared the same expression. Sora knew about what was happening to them? But how?

Riku turned his eyes forward to Terra again, assuming that there was only one person who knew about what was going on with him and Kairi before things randomly vanished. That was Aqua, who must have explained everything to Sora. Great...

"Aqua thought he had a right to know," Terra said, seeing their facial expressions. And Terra agreed with Aqua; he deserved to know why his friends were avoiding him for apparently no good reason.
"...Right," Riku agreed quietly, his eyes diverting from Terra's at the look he was being given. Obviously Sora's state was no secret to Terra or Aqua. It wasn't one to Riku or Kairi either, but still...

"Anyway," Terra said, continuing with the story. "Sora found out that Vanitas still lived as a Lingering Sentiment, and so he and Ven went to defeat him to try and set things right for you two." And it sounded to him that Vanitas's defeat had done them so good, so he was glad for that.
"V-Vanitas?" Kairi stuttered, that name striking fear in her. He had a Lingering Sentiment? What was that...and what did it have anything to do with them? She was so confused.
  • Author
"He was probably causing your nightmares," Terra explained. "It makes sense. You two haven't had any problems the past few days, right?" It had been four or five since they defeated Vanitas, so their nightmares should have ended as soon as he was terminated.
Riku nodded. "Yeah...that's right," he said, starting to understand now. Who wouldn've thought it... Vanitas's Lingering Sentiment was haunting them on purpose? And Sora knew and defeated him?
  • Author
"I think we defeated him five days ago," Terra said, lifting his eyes to the sky in thought. Yeah...that sounded right. He looked back to Kairi and Riku, seeing that at least Riku was understanding that it hadn't been coincidence that they both were having nightmares. "So your nightmares ended as soon as he was gone."
Kairi pushed herself up from her seat by the fountain, curious as to one other thing. "Is... Sora's okay, right?" she asked timidly, linking her hands nervously in front of her as she looked up at Terra. The Lingering Sentiment thing frightened her, but she was worried about how he was doing as well.

Terra looked down at the ground, eyebrows furrowing again at that. No; Sora wasn't alright. But he wasn't going to put it that bluntly. "...That's a little...complicated," he said cautiously. He wasn't hurt physically, but he had never seen a kid hurt that badly in his heart. It was painful to see.

Kairi's expression turned worried at Terra's words, and she glanced at Riku. What did that mean? What happened?

Riku's eyes narrowed in speculation. Okay, that definitely didn't sound good. "What do you mean, 'complicated'?" he asked, arching an eyebrow. What was going on?

  • Author
Terra kept his gaze down, trying to find the right words to phrase it. "Sora was fighting Vanitas on his own for a little while," he started. "But...Sora wasn't strong enough in the fight. Or rather, his Light wasn't burning strong enough." He would go on to explain, but he paused briefly so that he could think things through further. He had to be careful with how he revealed this.
His Light...Kairi thought, lowering her gaze. She lifted a hand slowly to cover her heart, knowing what that meant. She was his Light...and he wasn't strong enough...because of her? Kairi was afraid to hear more, but she stayed quiet, knowing that Terra was going to continue.

"...Vanitas was able to beat Sora because of that, and his Keyblade shattered. He can't wield the Keyblade anymore," Terra said, putting it bluntly because there really was no way to dance around. It was sad, but that was reality.
