Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Sora gently ran his thumb over Kairi's hand, his gaze still on the ground. "...Take a few days and think about it," he said softly. That was the only thing he could think of to do. He would be busy in the next few days helping everyone move back to Destiny Islands anyway. And that was what he was supposed to be doing right now, too...
"Mm," Kairi hummed softly, nodding a little as she kept her eyes closed. After a moment, she opened them to gaze at Sora's chest, her grip on it still strong. I love you, she thought silently. If he thought she was throwing his love away, he was mistaken.

"...I do have to go," Sora said quietly after a few moments, shifting his gaze to Kairi's face. "I just stopped in to tell you the news." He had to go help everyone from Twilight Town get settled into the Islands.
Kairi met Sora's eyes with her own and nodded, feeling a little guilty. She ruined his happiness, didn't she? She was such an awful person for doing that to him... He had been so cheerful and happy about the Islands being inhabitable again, and she spoiled it.

Sora gently took Kairi's hand away from his face and leaned forward, giving her a kiss on the forehead. This time, he really was walking away and leaving. He pulled back and looked at her, keeping his emotions inside for now. "I'll be back whenever I can."
Kairi's heart leaped at the kiss, but her eyes stayed on Sora when he pulled back. "I'll be here," she said softly. Waiting. He knew where to find her when he was finished helping the Islanders.

Sora nodded slightly, releasing Kairi's hand and also letting his own lower to his side. He looked at Kairi for a moment before he turned around and started walking away again, his gaze set ahead. He seriously had to work after this conversation? He wasn't going to be in a good mood at all.
Kairi watched Sora go, her hands hanging loosely at her sides. She never liked seeing him walk away and leave her to go somewhere else, but if she stayed, wouldn't that be what she saw a lot of the time he came to visit her? Wouldn't that be what she was doing to him?

Sora lifted a hand and hit his shoulder guard, light appearing around him and then fading when his armor was on. He kept walking as he summoned his Keyblade and threw it behind him, his glider forming from it and coming back at him. He jumped on it without doing any tricks and then flew off into a portal, disappearing from that world and leaving his beloved behind.
Kairi released a small sigh whenever Sora disappeared, turning to look back at the fountain. She ran her fingers along the marble before she went on her way, knowing that she had a lot of thinking to do, and only a few days to do it.

One week later

Sora leaned against a palm tree, arms folded over his chest as he watched the fireworks that were going off across the ocean. His ocean. He was back home, as were all of his friends. There was a festival tonight to celebrate that everyone was back, and even if they couldn't do anything they wanted because the world wasn't completely restored, they were doing enough. A mini-carnival was set up further down the beach and music was playing elsewhere. And here were the fireworks. Everyone was having a blast, though Sora couldn't get too into it knowing that he'd say goodbye to Kairi soon again. She was here for the festivities, but then she was going to her home. Radiant Garden.

Riku had his arms crossed over his broad chest, the boy gazing up at the colorful sky with a small half-smile on his lips. He was standing next to Kairi, who was back for the moment. But she didn't seem too comfortable, and he had a feeling why that was; Sora, and just being near the Mayor. Both were problems she was facing, though he hoped they somehow worked out, especially the one with Sora. He could tell both of them were miserable.

Lightning sat in the sand behind and over from the trio her boyfriend was a part of, her brother by her side. It was about a week after the surgery, and her recovery was going well. But she still liked sitting rather than standing whenever she could. And it actually worked out well in this case; she needed an excuse to give Riku some space. She heard what was going on with Kairi, and she knew he probably wanted to be with his two best friends tonight. She wouldn't intrude on that.
Kairi kept her hands linked behind her back, feeling the fabric of her usual pink dress against her arms. She stared up at the sky with a small smile, though it was one of sadness. She loved the Islands, but she just couldn't stay. This place didn't exactly feel like home to her anymore, the Mayor being one of the reasons why. The other was the boy on the other side of Riku: Sora. They hadn't spoken since she got here, which was earlier that afternoon. She knew he was upset with her, but...she didn't think she could make the right choice, no matter what decision she made.

Sora heard the cheers of the Islanders at a bright burst of fireworks, the colors dancing over his serious expression that didn't change in the slightest in reaction to the show. He was supposed to take Kairi home when she was ready, but he was thinking about asking Riku to do it. He didn't approve of this, at all. He couldn't protect her when she was so far away. Or hold her in his arms...
Kairi heard the uproar of awe around the beach, and she looked around at all of the people with the same sad smile. She was going to miss them, but they didn't know who she was. Well, at least some of them didn't. Regardless, she had a responsibility to fulfill back in Radiant Garden. She had to go.

Namine missed the majority of the events during the day, having not been in the mood to go to anything. This situation was awful. Her best friend, her sister, was moving to another world. Now she was the only one who had to stick around and try to find a new home. As much as she loved Terra, Aqua, and Ven, she didn't feel comfortable living with them. And the same for Riku. And Sora and Roxas didn't have room in their house. She had to find a home away from anyone else now, which was terrifying for her since she was pretty shy. She stayed away from some of her groups of friends, sitting on a small railing and staring at the fireworks through eyes that were dry because of all the tears she already cried. I can't believe she's leaving us.
Roxas walked across the sand, stepping in front of people as he passed them by, some of them standing while others were on towels. It was going to be different without Kairi here; he knew Namine would be lonely, really lonely. He would try to change that to the best of his ability, but there was only so much he could do. She had to let him in first. Just like Sora and Kairi; they needed to have a serious talk.

Namine gripped the railing she sat on with her hands, lightly kicking her feet through the air without noticing her boyfriend enter her sight. She kept her gaze on the fireworks without really seeing them, tears threatening to reappear. Kairi just threw this at all of them earlier, except for Sora. It was shocking, and it hurt how she gave everyone so little notice about what she was going to do. Especially her. Sora was her lover, but Namine was like her sister. How could she keep this from her...?
Roxas saw Namine not too far away, and he approached her, but he didn't say anything as he did. He stopped next to her and leaned back against the railing, his girlfriend higher than him due to the fact that she was sitting on it. He looked up at the fireworks, though he didn't say anything. What could he say? He knew she was upset, but he didn't know what to say to help. Kairi was devastating all of them with her leave.

Namine realized Roxas was with her now because of his closeness, her pale blue eyes wandering over to him for a moment before she looked down to her feet. But then she shut her eyes while her head was lowered, her grip on the railing tightening. She felt so betrayed...she wanted to yell at Kairi for what she did, but yelling never was Namine's thing. So she'd stay quiet and keep her feelings to herself, just like she always did.
Roxas sensed Namine's sadness, able to tell when she was upset by now. He lifted a hand and set it on her knee, the boy tilting his head up to look at her with soft blue eyes. He didn't want her being so upset, but there was nothing any of them could do. This was Kairi's decision, no matter how brief it was.

Namine felt Roxas's gaze on her, unaware that Sora was looking over too and sympathizing with her. They both felt betrayed in a lot of ways. She opened her eyes and looked down without meeting Roxas's gaze, seeing and feeling his hand on her knee. What am I supposed to do without Kairi around?
Kairi knew that her decision was affecting a lot people, but...they all had lives here, not somewhere else like she did. She had to do this, or so she told herself. It killed her inside to see her friends hurt because of her choice, but she already made it. There was no turning back now.

If Kairi doesn't belong here, why do I? Namine thought, staring at her legs and the ground beneath her dangling feet. She was Kairi's Nobody; she didn't have family connecting her to anything, only friends. If her Somebody didn't have a home here, then maybe she didn't either.
