Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku's eyes widened, his hands that were naturally in fists uncurling at that news. "He what?" he gasped. Sora couldn't...he couldn't wield the Keyblade anymore? It shattered?! How was that even possible?

Kairi looked up at Terra with startled eyes as well, not expecting that news at all. Sora lost the ability to hold the Keyblade?

Terra finally looked up, nodding in confirmation to the two teens. Sora no longer wielded a Keyblade; it didn't accept him as a master. It was shocking, and startling, but that was how things were.
A sound of utter disbelief left Riku's throat, the boy lowering his alarmed eyes to the ground. That didn't make any sense... Why would it shatter like that? Why would it reject him?

"You guys know that his power came from his friends," Terra said then, looking from Kairi to Riku. "Well--" He cut himself off, knowing that the rest was implied. Sora wasn't strong enough because he hadn't had the faith of his friends behind him. It weakened his Keyblade to the point where it could shatter.

Kairi looked up at Riku, biting her lip at what Terra was saying. "...It's our fault," she said then, finishing for the man that never continued. They were the reason why Sora's Keyblade rejected him...why he lost the power.

Riku closed his eyes, grunting at Kairi's true declaration. It was their fault...wasn't it? They caused Sora's loss...

Terra grunted slightly, wishing that he hadn't set it up so they came to that conclusion. He hadn't meant to make them feel guilty...It was just how things were. "Like I said, his Light wasn't burning strong enough," he said, not knowing that Kairi was Sora's Light. "...He lost faith." But that didn't change where his power came from. Riku and Kairi unfortunately did have a big hand in this.

Kairi's eyes found Terra, and she forced herself to look away that way he wouldn't see the shame in her eyes. Sora's Light hadn't been burning strong enough, and that was because of what she did to him in the Secret Place. Everything...it was more than half her fault.

Riku registered what Terra said, and he opened his eyes to look at his best friend. "Kairi," he said gently, putting a hand on her shoulder. He knew what she was thinking, and he wasn't sure what to say.

Terra remained silent now, not knowing what else to say. Somehow, he had the impression that he just made things worse. Was there something here he was missing? Honestly, he wasn't sure if he wanted to know. This was a terrible enough situation already.
Kairi shook her head, looking up and smiling weakly at Riku. "It's okay, Riku," she said, knowing that by the way he said her name and by the hand on her shoulder that he was trying to comfort her. But now, she didn't deserve it. He did plenty of it the last two weeks, but it was unnecessary now. Kairi really was to blame. The girl looked from her best friend to Terra, holding her sudden emotions inside until she was gone. "Excuse me," she said weakly, before then walking off, passing Terra to head away from the shopping district.

Terra glanced over his shoulder when Kairi left, but he turned to look forward again when he figured out that she didn't want to be seen right now. He brought up a hand and scratched the side of his head, not knowing what to do or say next.
Riku watched Kairi go, and he furrowed his eyebrows in discontent. Well, that didn't go over well, not that it was intended to. But still... "Um...Kairi had a pretty important role to play in that last part of the problem," Riku admitted, glancing up at Terra. "That's why she's so upset..." Just in case Terra was wondering...
  • Author
Terra lowered his hand, frowning when he realized that he had touched a nerve. "...Oh," he said. How else could he respond to that? He hadn't known.
Riku nodded once, understanding that there really wasn't much else that could be said now. So he figured it was his time to leave as well. "Thanks for telling us what happened, Terra," he said, looking at the man and nodding curtly. "But...I think I should go take care of something."
  • Author
"Alright," Terra said with a faint nod, understanding. He had just given both Riku and Kairi a lot to absorb. He wished there had been a way of making things easier, but there was no way to sugar-coat this.
Riku kept his eyes on Terra for only a second longer before taking his leave. He walked in a different direction than Kairi did, taking another route. He was headed for the beach, hoping to find someone there that he needed to talk to.
  • Author
Terra watched Riku go for a few moments before he turned and took a path that neither of the teens had traveled. Maybe he could go find Aqua if she was done speaking to Sora.
Kairi fought the tears as she walked down one of the paths. She didn't have a reason to cry; she was guilty of all of this. It was her fault, so why was she crying? There was no good purpose for the tears that threatened to spill. You're just being a baby...

Namine was walking in towards town, having left Roxas and Ven to take a stroll on her own. She couldn't help but wonder where everyone else was; she wasn't running into anybody. Well...not until she saw a redhead coming in her direction.
Kairi had her eyes set on the ground, biting her lip to prevent herself from crying. What if somebody saw her? How embarrassing that would be...especially if it were Sora that caught her in the act. He probably wouldn't feel sorry for her, after what she did to him. He'd probably leave her to the guilt, after what she put him through.
  • Author
"Kairi," Namine called gently, seeing part of her friend's facial expression as she got closer to her. Something was really wrong here...Kairi had been sad lately, but she looked even more sad now. What happened?
Kairi looked up at the call, but upon seeing that it was Namine, she glanced back down, coming to a slow stop after a few more feet were closed between them. "Hi," she greeted softly, forcing the waterworks back. She didn't even want Namine seeing her this way.
  • Author
Namine stopped right in front of Kairi, tilting her head slightly as she tried to get a better view of her best friend's face. "What's wrong?" she asked gently. Kairi was trying to be strong right now, but Namine saw right through that charade.
"Nothing," Kairi lied, shaking her head, hoping that some of her red hair would act as a curtain to hide her face. "I'm fine." Did Namine know anything that happened recently? Or were Kairi and Riku the only ones out of the loop?
  • Author
"Kairi, I know that's not true," Namine said softly, shaking her head. Normally she wouldn't force anything out of Kairi, but she really did need to open up. She hadn't even told her about the nightmares; she had to find out through other people.
Kairi nibbled on her bottom lip, glancing up at Namine before looking back down at her shoes. So she was that easy to read? She wasn't sure she was too happy about that, but she had been vulnerable lately...
