Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Namine took a few steps back to let Riku into the house, careful not to step on the dog that happily wagged her tail and looked at her master. Riku had been here about a week ago to see Lightning, and Roxas had come with him. But today, it looked like it was just Riku.
Riku glanced at Namine as he passed, his gentle smile fading ever so slightly as he approached his canine friend. He knelt down in front of Jasmine and started to rub behind her ears, the dog lowering her head at the gesture. "Everything okay?" Riku asked, glancing over his shoulder at Namine once he asked a question. She was comfortable, or so he hoped.

"Mmhm," Namine hummed with a nod, shutting the door so the cool air wouldn't escape the house. She tried to hide her disappointment about Roxas not being here, but she knew he was still busy with stuff going on in Destiny Islands. "Everything okay with you guys?"
Riku nodded a little. "Things are gradually returning to normal, I guess," he said, patting Jasmine's head before pushing himself up to his feet. "Still doing some construction around the Islands, but it should be as good as new soon enough." He put his hands on his hips and looked to his friend, a faint crooked smile on his lips. Things would work out.

Namine hummed again, a smile returning to her lips. "That's good." She was glad to hear that, even if she didn't know if that place was still a home to her or not. She actually liked Cocoon; there were a lot of beautiful places to go drawing pictures. And she learned how to cook while she was here too, since for a long time, she made all the meals. She had insisted on it, since Lightning was letting her live with her. It was the least she could do for the person she now considered to be a real friend.
Riku nodded again, but as a silence settled in on them, he turned his head to look around. "So...Light's working, huh?" he guessed, figuring it out since she wasn't around. She always was a workaholic.

"Yeah," Namine confirmed with a nod. "She'll probably be back around sunset." That was how it had been lately; she left for work before Namine even woke up, stayed back for lunch for an hour or two sometimes, and then came home around 7 or 8 for dinner. She worked a lot of hours in the past few weeks, and that explained why she was tired a lot of the time. Apparently she wasn't quite used to being in the Corps again.
"Good timing on my part then," Riku said, glancing behind Namine out the glass door. Sunset would be around in a few hours, so he would stay here and keep Namine company since he was in Cocoon. "Looks like we've got a few hours before she gets back."

"Looks like it," Namine agreed, following Riku's gaze to the door before she looked back to him. "You want anything to eat? There are left overs in the fridge." She could heat up something for him if he was hungry.
"Sounds good," Riku said, lowering his arms to his sides. He was starving, since he skipped out on breakfast this morning and had a really small lunch. He was busy helping the Islanders repair their homes. They respected him and his friends a lot more than he used to, since they thought they sometimes stirred up trouble in the past because they were just kids. That wasn't the case anymore.

Namine nodded slightly, a small smile on her lips. "You should take a look for yourself," she recommended. "There's a lot of options." She went a little overboard with cooking this week, since she was bored. She was actually considering getting a job. But she didn't know how long she was staying in Cocoon, so if she was leaving sometime, it was best not to tie herself down.
"Right." Riku nodded once more and turned around, stepping past Jasmine. She immediately followed him as he went around the corner, knowing where the kitchen was. It wasn't like he could forget; he was here all the time, to be with both his friend and the person who held his heart.

Namine clasped her hands behind her back, giving Riku and Jazz a few steps to get ahead of her so she wouldn't trip over the dog. Jasmine missed her owner, that was for sure. But it was best she was here so Riku wouldn't have to worry about taking care of her. "How's Roxas?" Namine couldn't help but ask Riku, knowing that it came out of nowhere to him. But it had lingered in her mind since she saw Riku arrive.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed slightly at the random question, but he continued forward, approaching the kitchen. "Hard at work," he said then, his tone casual. "He hasn't taken many breaks lately." Roxas was always working, even if his work sometimes lagged because of exhaustion. But he was doing his best, even Riku could see that.

Namine hummed softly, looking down at the ground. She should have known. She knew her boyfriend well, and she knew that he was probably working all the time to distract himself from thinking about her. He didn't seem happy she wasn't in Destiny Islands.
Riku glanced down at Jasmine when she bumbed into his leg, but he kept going to the fridge. He stopped and opened it up, seeing that Namine wasn't lying about the choices; there were a lot of them. "How've you been?" he asked, sifting through his food options. "You okay?" He didn't want to see her face when he asked the question, which was why he kept himself busy.

Namine looked down at the dog who came over to her, the blonde kneeling down by her and lightly petting her. "I'm good," she said to Riku. "...This place is starting to feel a lot like home." Lightning was kind, and sisterly, in a way. But Cocoon in general was a really nice place. Everyone was kind; there weren't any bullies.
Riku grabbed some leftover pork that was in the fridge, turning around with a faint smile on his lips as he shut the door. He was glad to hear that; he wanted Namine to be comfortable with staying here while she had to. "You and Light getting along?" he asked, stepping over to the counter so he could get a sandwich ready.

Namine smiled softly and nodded, though Riku couldn't see her. "Yeah, we are," she confirmed. She hadn't expected it at first, but Lightning was a really kind person. She didn't let most people see that side of her, but Namine did. She felt privileged in a way to be able to see who Lightning was when she wasn't a tough, stoic soldier.
Riku hummed softly, starting to make himself a sandwich. "Good," he said, his smile still on his lips. He was relieved to hear that, because Namine was like a sister to him, much like Kairi. The fact that she was getting along with the woman he loved was great. He was happy for that kind of interaction.

Namine nodded again, taking her hands off Jasmine and standing upright. "She's really sweet," she said, mentally picturing Lightning cringe at the description. She didn't like being seen as soft, and she told Namine as much. She actually opened up to her a lot, probably because she missed her own sister. She admitted that to Namine only and not Riku.
"Hm, you see what I see in her," Riku said without thought, sticking his sandwich in the microwave to warm it up. He turned around and leaned against the counter, crossing his arms over his chest. His eyes found Namine, the same faint smile on his lips at what she said. He was happy to hear that as well.

Namine's small smile widened, and yet again, she nodded. "I do," she confirmed. "...She's really good for you." They were both cold on the exterior in a lot of ways, serious and loners. But they made each other smile and feel lighter. She could tell by how the two of them interacted the last time she was here, after she got to know Lightning better.
Riku actually felt a little shy at the comment, his eyes falling to the ground as his smile grew a little. Yeah, I guess she is. No, he didn't guess; he knew. Light was amazing, and she always would be. They may not have gotten along at first, but after a while, he really fell for her. It was unlike him, but it was different, just as she was. He liked it that way.

Namine giggled slightly at Riku's expression, not used to seeing him shy. "Never thought somebody like her would be able to make you feel shy," she teased, smiling at her "big brother". Riku hardly ever was shy, but obviously he was affected by what she just said. It was sweet.
