Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Namine shook her head slightly, leaning forward and setting her glass on the table. "I'm sure he'll come when he wants to," she said softly. "Don't worry about dragging him with you." If he wanted to focus on work, then that was fine. She knew being apart was hard, and it was her fault in some ways.
"I don't think it'll be dragging," Riku said then, admitting it aloud. He knew Roxas would come when he got the chance, but he hadn't known Riku was coming to Cocoon today, which was why he didn't join him. That was understandable, though.

Namine hummed, nodding slightly. She'd have to take Riku's word for it, since she couldn't see Roxas for herself. And she knew that he was putting on a mask when he came here to cover up a lot. But she was doing the same in a lot of ways. She acted perfectly content here, but she wasn't without him here with her.
Riku could feel the tension of the silence, the room full of it. He tried to ignore it, knowing Namine had her reasons to be upset; the living situation wasn't working out for her or Kairi, not really. He saw Kairi the other day alongside Sora, and he could tell she was upset to see them go. Namine was the same whenever she saw Roxas head off too. He caught it the last time.

"If I make him think I'm really happy here, will that make things better or worse for him?" Namine wondered aloud, looking up towards the ceiling. It could be good, because if she was happy, he should have been too. But it would have been bad because he could think she was happy apart from him.
Riku turned his head to look at Namine, his eyebrows furrowing a little. "I can't answer that for you," he admitted softly. There was no way for him to tell. He knew that if Lightning was apart from him, he would be upset. But as long as she was happy, so was he. It was just how things were, at least for him.

Namine smiled, though it was a sad smile. "I figured as much," she said, looking over at Riku. He had answers to a lot of things since he was so wise, but he couldn't know everything. She accepted that.
Riku's eyes softened at the look on Namine's face, and he lifted a hand to her shoulder, squeezing it gently. "It'll work out," he told her, adopting some of Sora's optimism for the moment. "You'll see." She and Roxas would be alright; they always were.

Namine hummed, nodding slightly. She hoped that it would be soon, because she felt bad for making Roxas hurt. It wasn't fair to him, after everything he's done for her. He was such a good boyfriend, and recently, she felt like maybe he'd be better off with someone else, someone who was maybe like Lightning in the aspect that they weren't defenseless. He didn't deserve to have the burden of protecting her.
Riku nodded to Namine as well, releasing her shoulder after a minute. He reached for the remote instead, turning on the television. Hopefully some entertainment would distract them from such a somber conversation.

After a few more hours, Lightning headed home from work, a messenger bag hanging over her shoulder. It was full of paperwork that she had to get done by tomorrow. She exhaled a soft breath and opened the front door, hoping Namine didn't wait for her to have dinner. She was about half an hour later than she expected. She walked in, hearing the TV on. She's in the living room.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed when he thought he heard a noise not too far off, but he didn't move. It was probably Jasmine anyway; she was comfortable enough here to move around as she pleased. Instead, Riku focused on the screen in front of him, wondering when he would see Lightning; he needed to head back soon.

Lightning walked into the living room, stopping in the doorway and blinking in surprise when she saw two people sitting on the couch. Namine, which was to be expected, and Riku. When had he gotten there? "Hey."
Riku blinked at the voice, though it immediately made his heart warm. He turned his head, his aqua-colored eyes finding the woman he loved. "Light," he said, a small smile instantly forming. He hadn't seen her in a little over a week, which was long enough. But still, he was happy to see her.

Light caught Namine wave a little before she politely took her leave, starting towards the hall so that she could give Riku and Lightning some privacy. She nodded slightly to the girl she grew to call her friend, her eyes following her briefly before she looked back to Riku. "Been waiting long?"
Riku pushed himself up from his position on the couch, turning a little to face Lightning. "A few hours," he said with a small shrug, his faint smile still lingering on his lips. His eyes dropped from hers to the bag, wondering what was inside it. Right now, though, it didn't matter; she did.

Light followed Riku's gaze to her bag, her temporary happiness at seeing him diminishing because of what she had to do. "I have a lot of paperwork to do," she explained, lifting her gaze to her boyfriend. "I'll be up all night." She'd get an hour of sleep, if she was lucky.
Riku's smile faded at that, his eyebrows furrowing a little. "Should I go?" he asked, putting a thumb over his shoulder to signal the door not too far off. He would go if he would just be a nuisance, and then come back later.

"Nah," Light said, shaking her head and walking over to Riku. She set the bag on the ground, standing upright in front of him again and looking at his eyes. "You can stay as long as you don't mind me working." She wouldn't mind just being close to him.
Riku looked down at Lightning and shook his head. "I don't want to be in the way," he said honestly. He could just go and check on things and come back later. It wasn't that big of a deal.

Lightning arched a brow, hands by her sides. "You, in the way? Never," she said sweetly, leaning up and giving him a quick peck on the lips before she returned to her previous position. He really was fine here; she'd let him know if he distracted her.
Riku's smile returned at the gesture, unable to help it. "...That's it?" he said then, lifting an eyebrow. "I'm gone for over a week, and that's all you give me?" He appreciated the small kiss, but that was just unacceptable. He was a needy guy; he wanted more than that.

Light "hmphed", standing up on her toes again and connecting her lips to Riku's again. She shut her eyes and lifted one of her hands, setting it on his chest. This should have made him feel a little better.
Riku fought the urge to smile, knowing it would ruin the kiss between him and Lightning. He lifted a hand and set it in her hair, keeping her where she was as he gently returned the kiss she gave him. Better.

Lightning gently kissed Riku back for a few moments before she pulled back, though she was still close. "Better?" she asked softly, smirking a little bit. She hoped that was a better show of affection than the light peck was.
