Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku smiled, opening his eyes to look at the woman he loved. "Much better," he said softly, his hand still in Lightning's hair as he stood with her in the living room. He definitely missed her, there was no doubt about that.

Light's smile turned genuine, her eyes opening to find Riku's aqua ones. "And now I have to get to work," she said with a sigh. It wasn't like she put off any of this work; it was all thrown at her and she had to do it by tomorrow. Carson said as much, and he didn't like her. He was trying to get her fired after what happened a while ago with Riku and the Heartless. One of these times, she feared he'd succeed.
Riku's smile slowly faded, the boy staying close to Lightning as he agreed. "Duty calls," he said softly, though he didn't move. He didn't want to be away from her, even if he could sit next to her while she did some paperwork.

Lightning glanced past Riku, an idea coming to mind. "Sit in the corner," she suggested softly. "I'll sit in front of you." And by that, she meant she'd sit between his legs on the couch while he leaned back against the corner. She could use a clipboard and do her paperwork on the furniture.
Riku nodded slightly, slowly taking his hand back. He then made his way to the couch, understanding what Lightning wanted when she told him what to do. He sat in the corner of it, a pillow behind him to provide some comfort. Then he looked to Lightning, ready when she was.

Lightning first took off her sword case before she reached into her bag and grabbed some paperwork, a clipboard, and a pen. She sat a lot of the papers on the coffee table and then got into her position in front of Riku, getting comfortable easily.
Riku had one leg propped up on the couch, the other on the floor. He looked over Light's shoulder at the clipboard, though he looked away so she could get to work. He would try not to distract her, but he couldn't make any promises. He missed her too much to just sit here.

Light exhaled a breath, feeling no desire to work. She just wanted to enjoy Riku's presence, but he would leave if he kept her from working. She picked up her pen and got started on it, focusing even if she was tired and unmotivated. Some things you just do.
Riku put one arm on the back of the couch, the other on the armrest to his side. He looked to the television, his focus on that for the moment. He knew it would wander to the woman in front of him soon, however. He couldn't keep his eyes off her for long.

Lightning ignored the television, continuing to scribble things down. As long as it was legible, then she was fine. Sometime, she'd have to talk to Lieutenant Amador about Carson. She couldn't take the pressure from him much longer.
Riku continued to watch the show that was on the television for the meantime, though his sight did eventually wander to the paperwork over Light's shoulder. He peered at it in silence, seeing that she was filling out some forms. That was alright; he would just wait until she was done, whenever that was.

Light flipped the sheet and started on another on the clipboard, feeling Riku's gaze was no longer on the TV by now. "Are you staying the night?" she asked softly while writing, multitasking.
Riku glanced at Lightning briefly at the question, but then he lifted his eyes to a window nearby. It was already nightfall. "I'm not sure I can," he said softly. "Duty calls, as usual." It was a bittersweet thing, the Keyblade. He liked to feel like he made a difference in the worlds, by helping the people that needed it. But he always had to leave behind what he treasured most, whether that was home or the person he loved. It wasn't the best thing in the world, but it had its perks. One was that he could come see Claire whenever he wanted to.

Lightning hummed softly, understanding. That didn't mean she was happy about it, but she couldn't blame Riku for doing what he had to do. It would have been pretty hypocritical, considering she had to work right now instead of spend real time with him and enjoy his presence.
Riku released a small breath, his eyes lowering to the paper on Light's clipboard. "I guess I'll leave in a little bit," he said lowly. He couldn't stay too late; Lightning needed her rest, and so did Namine. He couldn't stick around.

Light nodded slightly, writing still while carrying on a conversation with Riku. "Any idea when you can come back?" she asked softly. She felt bad for this, knowing he waited a few hours to be with her and now she was stuck working. But there was nothing she could do about it, not really. If she stopped working for him, he wouldn't be happy.
Riku shrugged a little, though he made sure not to affect Lightning's writing. "A week, at least," he said, estimating. There was a lot to be done on the Islands still. He couldn't come back any sooner than that, unfortunately.

Light hummed, nodding faintly again and turning to another page. Maybe I can come visit before then, she thought. She could help out with whatever was going on in the Islands, since that place was one that deserved to be restored. And if Namine wanted, she could come along and see Roxas.
Riku didn't say anything more, though he was thinking of what he would do on the Islands. He needed to help repair his own home, since it had some water damage and a tree managed to fall on the roof. There was also some of the town that needed to be fixed, which he volunteered for alongside Sora and Terra to take care of. That would take at least a couple days, if not more. He would be busy.

Light sighed, dropping the clipboard on the ground beside the couch along with the pen. "Screw paperwork." She was going to enjoy what time she had with Riku, and she wasn't going to let stupid Lieutenant Carson run her life like this.
Riku glanced down at the clipboard, seeing that the paper on top was only half complete. "...You're not done," he said then, looking to the back of Lightning's head. If she was stopping because of him, he would just take off; he didn't want to be a distraction.
  • Author
"Nope," Claire agreed, leaning back into Riku more as she let her head sit closer to his shoulder. She turned her head and looked up at him, knowing that she would make him stay a little longer now. The paperwork could wait or remain incomplete for all she cared.
Riku looked down at Lightning's eyes, his eyebrows furrowing. "Maybe I should go," he said softly. He said earlier that he would do that so she could focus; clearly he was distracting her from her job. He didn't want that.

Lightning shook her head slightly. "I'm not letting you go yet," she said gently. She wanted to stay with him, and he just said he would leave soon. That was different from "right now". So she would enjoy his presence while she could.
Riku lifted an eyebrow slightly, giving Lightning a look. "So you're holding me hostage?" he guessed softly. "Maybe I should call Namine in here to help me escape." He really didn't want to be in the way, if that was what it was. He knew how hard Carson was on Lightning from what he'd been told; he didn't want her job being on the line because he was here.
