Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Talk to me," Namine insisted gently. She was Kairi's best friend; she wanted to help if she could. She hadn't been able to lately, and she wanted to make up for that.
Kairi nervously tucked some of her red hair behind her ear, lifting her head to look at Namine. "...How much do you know?" she asked quietly, not beating around the bush. She wanted to know if she and Riku were the only ones left out of everything that was going on lately. She figured that would be the best way to go, because then the conversation could take any turn.

No matter what Kairi was referring to, Namine felt surprisingly in the loop. It seemed like there weren't any secrets being kept from her right now. "Everything," the blonde said gently. She knew about Kairi and Riku, and she knew about Sora. But did Kairi know that?
"You mean you know about Vanitas...and the nightmares?" Kairi asked, her voice hushed at the subject. If this was cleared up, she would ask about Sora next. That was what was really upsetting her now.
  • Author
"Yeah," Namine said with a soft nod, hoping Kairi wouldn't be upset about that. But she had been concerned, so she asked and got an answer from Aqua. It wasn't like nobody else had found out about it anyway after what happened with Vanitas's Lingering Sentiment.
"Oh...right," Kairi said with a small nod, diverting her gaze to the side as she crossed her arms in front of her. Somehow, that wasn't very surprising, despite her reaction. Namine always knew what was going on, somehow.

"Is that what you're upset about?" Namine asked, continuing to look at Kairi even if she looked away. She hoped that wasn't it; she was under the impression that her nightmares should have ended when Vanitas died.
Kairi shook her head, her gaze automatically landing on the eyes of her best friend again. "No..." she answered quietly. It was what happened during that whole fight that was bothering her, what happened to the boy she still loved.

Namine tilted her head slightly, her eyes on Kairi's. But she remained silent now, waiting for Kairi to say what was really going on. Did she know about Sora? Was that why she was upset?
"Sora's...Keyblade..." Kairi started, fighting her emotions as she struggled to keep her voice level. "...It's my fault, Namine. It's all my fault." She closed her eyes then and shook her head, pressing her mouth closed so her lip wouldn't quiver. This was awful...

Namine's lips parted in sadness, seeing Kairi's sorrow on her facial expression. She had been told why Sora's Keyblade shattered;it was because he didn't have his friends support behind him. Friends like Kairi and Riku...
Kairi kept her eyes closed, not wanting to cry about something she felt she didn't deserve to cry about. It was her fault that Sora didn't have the Keyblade anymore, so she had all the reason in the world to feel shame. But not cry.

"...He needs you now more than ever," Namine said softly, her voice gentle with her best friend. She had seen Sora this morning, and he was miserable. He was heartbroken, especially because he felt like his sacrifice didn't fix his friendships between Riku and Kairi. He hadn't said such a thing; Namine figured it out on her own.
"But how can I face him?" Kairi asked, opening her watery eyes and looking at her best friend. Fighting the tears never worked, did it? "After what I said to him...after what I just did to him... I couldn't possibly." Confronting Sora would be an awful decision; it would be incredibly awkward.

"He's hopelessly in love with you, Kairi," Namine said, a weak smile appearing on her lips in an attempt to comfort her best friend. "No matter what you do, he won't ever stop loving you." He had proven that in the past, whenever he and Kairi had problems. He was always faithful.
Namine's words only caused more tears to appear in Kairi's eyes, and she shook her head. "I don't see how he could now," she said weakly. "I took away his power, his strength...his faith. It's all gone because of me." She wasn't there for him when he needed her most, and now the Keyblade rejected him.
  • Author
"But maybe you can help him regain that," Namine suggested gently. Kairi and Sora had gotten through impossible trials in the past, and Namine knew deep in her heart that this would be no exception. Those two would make up...They had to.
"How?" Kairi said, her voice squeaking a little with that one word. It was because of her tears and her emotions coming to the surface. She couldn't really help that, though, no matter how often she told herself she didn't have a reason to.
  • Author
"I don't know," Namine confessed, shaking her head slightly. But that didn't mean that it was an impossible task. "Just...follow your heart." She and Sora were connected, and they were meant to be together. It was fate.
Kairi wiped at a tear before it could leave the corner of her eye. She sniffled a little and nodded, guessing Namine was right. What else could she do? She couldn't think of a thing.

Namine offered Kairi a gentle smile, stepping forward and giving her a hug. "You can do it," she said softly in her ear. She could still save the relationship that she had with Sora if she set her mind to it. Sora...He was too depressed to do anything right now. He wouldn't go after Kairi; he was so heartbroken over his loss that he didn't even realize that Selphie was taking advantage of him when he was vulnerable. Namine saw them on the beach a few days ago; it really wasn't nice for somebody to take advantage of Sora like that.
Kairi hugged Namine back, not knowing how much she needed a hug until then. She closed her eyes, hearing her best friend's words. "I sure hope so," she whispered absently, mostly to herself but also to Namine. If she couldn't do it...Sora was doomed to never wield the Keyblade again. It was a part of him... Kairi couldn't take that away.

Namine lightly ran her hand over Kairi's back a few times in a sisterly gesture, holding her in the embrace a few more seconds before she pulled back. She nodded faintly to Kairi, letting her know that she had faith in her.
Kairi let her arms come back to her sides and she smiled weakly at Namine. "Thank you," she said softly. She needed that talk, and she was glad that she had someone who was like family give it to her.
  • Author
"Of course," Namine said with a soft smile. She was glad that she could help; Kairi did look like she was feeling a little better, and she was thrilled about that. Now maybe Sora and Kairi could help each other through this.
