Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Namine turned when Roxas was on the balcony, though she shouldn't have been surprised that he did something a little showy to get off his glider. And she shouldn't have been surprised he showed up and made a big promise like that, even after being away for a month. He had promised he would come sooner, but he hadn't. She hated to say it, but what made this promise different? She believed in him, but...she didn't want to get her hopes up for nothing. Lightning was rubbing off on her in that way, teaching her to be wiser with her emotions.
Roxas's eyebrows furrowed even more at the way Namine was staring at him, knowing what she was thinking. "...What?" he asked then, wanting her to say it. She...didn't believe him, did she? He knew that his last promise had been broken, but there was no way for him to get away. It wasn't my fault.

"Nothing," Namine said, faintly shaking her head. She stepped forward a step or two and embraced Roxas, doing what she had wanted to do for so long. "I've just missed you." Riku came pretty often, and he did promise to bring Roxas with a few times, but he never did. She knew it couldn't have been helped, but...She had still gotten her hopes up, and she didn't want to feel let down again when the promises fell short.
Roxas glanced at Namine when she embraced him, and he lifted his arms to encircle her as well. One hand, however, lifted to the back of her head. "I've missed you too," he said softly, pressing the side of his face against her blonde hair. He missed her terribly. It was hard without her around. He hated it.

Namine shut her eyes, lightly leaning her head against Roxas's and staying quiet. There wasn't too much to say right now, even if they hadn't seen each other in a while. Right now, all that she wanted was to be near him again and feel like things could be like they used to be. She wanted to believe his promise and look forward to a future where she could be by his side again. But right now, she just couldn't see it.
Roxas shut his eyes, releasing a soft sigh. He missed this so much, just holding Namine. How long had it been? A month, maybe more? That was way too long. "...We should do something today," he said gently. "It's my only day off." For a while, he was sure. He'd been put to a lot of work lately, while Riku and Sora got more days off than him. It wasn't exactly fair, but what could he do?

Namine opened her eyes, something suddenly coming to mind. "I had plans to go to lunch with Lightning," she said, speaking softly since she and Roxas were so close. I can't just cancel; she needs a friend right now. But...I can't turn Roxas away... Maybe she could call Light's sister and have her help her sister. Or she and Light could just have lunch tomorrow. They could easily reschedule...Right?
"...Oh," Roxas said, his eyes opening as he gazed at Jasmine. She was sitting patiently, staring up at the birds that flew by. Well, he guessed it was alright if Namine had plans. He would just come back...whenever he had the chance. Or he would sneak away. For her, he would.

Namine pulled away a little, looking at Roxas. "I'm sure I can reschedule," she said with a weak smile. "We should just meet Light at work before she comes all the way home." She hoped that she didn't mind too much...Namine would definitely make it up to her somehow. But she had a feeling Lightning would understand, since her boyfriend wasn't here too often either.
"You sure? I mean, I could always sneak away and come back in a few days," Roxas said then, his eyes also on the girl he loved as she gazed at him. He would probably get scolded for it, but he didn't care. He loved Namine; he would do whatever he could to be with her.

"I'm pretty sure it'll be alright," Namine said with a small nod, releasing Roxas completely as she looked over her shoulder to the clock that was hanging outside. "Let's go ask her. I was supposed to meet her in twenty minutes for lunch anyway." Roxas was lucky he came when he did, or else he would have missed her completely. It wasn't often that she went out and did something like this, but those were her plans today.
Roxas nodded a little, his arms coming back to his sides as well. He wasn't sure where they were going, since he didn't really know his way around Cocoon. But he would follow Namine's lead and be with her the whole way. He didn't feel like leaving her any time soon.

Namine turned around, walking a few steps and picking up the sketchpad and pencil off the ground on her way to the door. She held both in one hand and slid the glass door open, clicking her tongue to signal Jazz. And, of course, since she was trained by Riku, Jasmine followed the order, running past Namine to go inside. The blonde smiled, glancing over her shoulder at Roxas and motioning for him to follow her. They'd walk to where Lightning worked.
Roxas smiled slightly and followed Namine through the door, though he was right with her the entire walk. Namine had been living here for a while, so he wasn't surprised that she knew her way around. He held her hand, the other hand in his pocket as he looked ahead of him. There was a large building in front of him, and he heard whistles and yelling. Is this the place?

Lightning wrapped up with the work she was doing inside the building, having been showing some recruits some physical techniques that helped enhance their battle skills. She wiped her brow on her arm and looked at the clock, realizing she was a minute or two late for Namine. She sighed and went towards the front door, ready for her lunch break. She needed to vent about her fight with Riku the other night.

Carson walked through one of the hallways of the building, a manilla folder of paperwork in his hand. He had some talking to do with Officer Farron about her work as of late. It wasn't up to his standards, and not up to the standards of the Corps at all. The last thing he wanted from her was slack.

Lightning nearly collided with someone who appeared from one of the other halls right by the doorway, her eyes narrowing when she suddenly stopped to avoid him. She nearly snapped and told them to watch where they were going, but she composed herself when she saw that it was somebody of higher rank than her. And it wasn't just that, but this person was trying to find any reason he could to fire her or arrest her. Lieutenant Carson.

Carson came to a quick stop when he glanced to the side and found the person he was searching for. "Farron," he greeted stoicly, his voice strict as always. "I've been looking for you." She had some explaining to do about these reports.

Lightning lifted her arm in a formal salute, though her eyes remained hard. "Sir," she started. "I can't speak right now, sir. Someone is waiting for me during my lunch break." Which is obviously right now. She didn't have long, so she needed to slip away while she could and get to Namine. If Carson yelled at her like he had the other day, she would have time to eat a cracker before she had to get back to work. Ugh, do I have bad luck.

"I doubt they're more important than your paperwork, Farron," Carson commented harshly, holding the manilla folder up to emphasize the subject. "You have some explaining to do." Her paperwork wasn't good enough, not even near his expectations. He wasn't happy about it.

Lightning furrowed her eyebrows, lowering her arm and looking from the folder up to Carson's face. He was about Snow's height and build, so she looked pretty tiny compared to him. He thought that was intimidating to her, but that wasn't in the slightest. She wasn't scared of him. "What is there to explain?" she asked, purposely not calling him "sir".

"The lack of information I asked you for in the reports," Carson replied firmly. "That's what. Explain your reasons for slacking off, immediately." He wasn't happy with her, not at all. She knew better than to take her paperwork--the reports he gave her, especially--so lightly.

  • Author
"Sir," Lightning said, her voice having some bite and irritation behind it. "There's no way I can properly stay on top of all the paperwork when I work over ten hours a day and you give me ten hours of paperwork to do at night." And that was all that she had to say on the topic. "Excuse me." She stepped to the side and past him, grabbing the handle of the door, opening it, and stepping out before he could protest.

Carson's eyes narrowed, and he turned around, his grip on the folder tightening as he pushed the door open and stepped outside right after Lightning. "Halt, soldier!" he ordered firmly, seeing her retreating figure. Walking away wasn't an option; she listened and she took orders like every other soldier.

Namine blinked when she heard the loud call, seeing Lightning walk out of the building even if she and Roxas were still quite a few yards away. She tightened her grasp on his hand and stopped walking, seeing Lightning do the same. She stood still about two yards out the door, and even from where Namine stood, she could see her hands curled into fists by her side. Carson was on her case again, wasn't he?
