Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Carson stopped a few feet from Lightning, his eyes boring into her back. "About-face," he ordered lowly, his eyebrows deeply set. Her attitude wasn't something he wanted to deal with today, or any other day. Farron needed an attitude adjustment, and he was going to give it to her immediately.

Lightning's hands curled into tighter fists, the young woman obeying the order. She turned around on her feet and looked up to Carson, about as composed as she could be with the rage that was inside her. She was so sick of him bullying her and trying to make her lose the job. She was already frustrated enough with the job keeping her away from Riku, and people like Carson just made her want to quit even more. If he says or does one thing wrong, I'm done.

"Your disrespect has gone on long enough, Farron," Carson said as soon as she obeyed his order. "Refusing to follow directions given to you by your lieutenant is unacceptable. You report to me, and me only, and I won't tolerate your behavior." He approached her, holding the folder out to her. "Now fill out these reports a second time and make them good. Report to me when you're finished, understood?"

Roxas realized why Lightning looked so upset, and why Namine was gripping his hand so tightly. This must have been someone who Lightning held hatred towards, given her expression seconds ago when she was facing their direction. This guy was part of the military, but there seemed to be something more to his behavior. It was like he had a personal problem with Lightning.

"So I'm expected to do these papers for four hours on top of the usual ten hours of paperwork you give me?" Lightning retorted, lifting a hand and setting it on her hip as she stared at Carson without taking the paperwork. He wasn't even the lieutenant she was supposed to report to; that was Amador. But Carson found a way around the system because of his connections, and now he could torture her however he wanted. And she was sick of it.

Carson grunted a response to confirm that statement, still holding the paperwork out to his Officer. "Have them filled out correctly by eight tomorrow morning, or you'll face dire consequences," he said stiffly, a deep frown on his face. "Do I make myself clear, Officer Farron?"

  • Author
"Perfectly," Lightning said, confirming his clearness. Those "dire consequences" would be the end of her employment. "And allow me to make myself perfectly clear when I say that this is bull. You're not my lieutenant. And you know this workload is unbearable. I know you're just trying to make me slip up so you have an excuse to fire me." She was intelligent, and so was Carson, since he was ranked so high in the Corps.

Carson's lips turned up into a bitter smile. "Clever, Farron," he said with a small nod. "Regardless, you still neglect to follow orders. Your intelligence clearly isn't high enough to handle the responsibilities put on you. You're weak and unreliable. I'll be sure to report that to the higher ranks if you fail to do as I ask of you." He knew she wouldn't want that, considering she'd been working for this recent promotion since she was a teenager.

"You're the one who's weak," Lightning spat, her hands curling into even tighter fists as she restrained herself but didn't bite down on her tongue. "Taking advantage of other people, weeding out those who could threaten you. We all want a better Cocoon. How can you be twisted enough to screw up that purpose?" He didn't care about Cocoon; he only cared about himself. And that made her sick.

Light... Namine thought in worry, staying where she was with Roxas. Carson was being terribly cruel, and she could tell Lightning was done taking beatings from him. But how on earth could she stand up to somebody so big and intimidating? Even standing far away, and next to Roxas, the man frightened her.

"A better Cocoon relies on those who are responsible and level-headed in times of uncertainty," Carson retorted, jabbing a finger at Lightning as the paperwork was forgotten, his hand that held it dropping to his side. "You, Farron, weren't either of those things when you needed to be. The alien you were housing was one you lied to the Corps about, which was a big mistake on your part. Refusing to complete your assignments is just another strike over your head. Do you want a third by insulting your lieutenant?"

Roxas instinctively took a small step forward, not only to stand in front of Namine but also because of how this man was talking to Lightning. Alien? Riku wasn't an alien! If that was the case, he'd show this "lieutenant" what an alien really was. Roxas was the same.

  • Author
Lightning's eyes narrowed at the finger jabbed in her face, her eyes going from that to the lieutenant. He seriously was testing her... "First off, there was never any evidence found to prove I lied about anything concerning him," she said smoothly, though her fists were nearly shaking because of how tight they were. "And secondly, I've done all your paperwork up to this point even if you have no authority to assign it to me. My refusal has no legal ramifications. A jury will agree with me when they study this case and see how much you f***** with me. That is, if you're bold enough to take this to them." Her heart started racing when she used a swear word, her temper getting the better of her. She was about to lose it...And she would do much worse than just "insult" the lieutenant.

Roxas blinked in shock, unable to do much else. Lightning just said that...to someone of higher rank? He could already sense trouble coming from this, and by the look on Carson's face, it was going to be just that.

Carson was struck by the words, which made him speechless for a moment. But then his temper flared. "That is enough, Farron!" he hollered. The hand he used to point at Lightning now moved to grip her upper arm. "Come with me. We're reporting this to the Captain." It was strike three for her, which meant she was through with the Corps.

When he touched her, Lightning couldn't help her reaction, nor her witty comment. "No thanks," she said, letting her free arm fly as she slugged the lieutenant. She was through with all this bull crap that he was throwing at her, and she was going to let it all out now. She let her anger seethe long enough, and Carson had no idea how wicked she could be when she wasn't following orders just to avoid trouble. He was going to face her wrath.

Carson grunted at the hit, so caught off guard with it that he stumbled backward. When he recovered, his eyes pierced Lightning's figure. He dropped the paperwork, it momentarily forgotten. No way was he going to be disrespected and harmed at such a level. He moved forward to grasp her once again, knowing that it wouldn't be wise to retaliate too harshly.

Lightning's eyes were still narrowed when he came back to grab her again, but she wasn't about to let him do that. She used the same arm as before and took another swing at him, feeling her fist make contact with his cheek. She was throwing away everything she worked for, and she didn't care. It felt good to release all the anger that had built up over the past few months.

Carson fell to the ground this time, the second punch harder than the first. He caught himself before he hit his head, and when he recovered, he swung his leg out to trip Lightning up. He was trained in combat too; he wasn't helpless.

Lightning grunted when she was knocked down by the kick, the young woman landing on her hands and knees. But she quickly pushed herself up so she was just on her knees, her alert blue eyes landing on Carson again. For such a big man, he moved pretty quickly. But she wasn't about to be humiliated by him, even if nobody was watching this. Or so she thought.

Namine's eyes remained wide throughout this whole thing, her grasp on Roxas's hand very tight. Lightning stood up for herself, finally, but Carson was fighting back! The blonde bit down on her lip, worried for Lightning. She was going to be in serious trouble for this, and she could be really hurt, too. Carson had no reason to hold back.

Carson quickly pushed himself to his feet and and stepped toward Lightning, staring her down. "Wanna try that again, Farron?" he said lowly, his voice nearly a growl in anger. She was way out of line. There was no way she was going to slip by with this.

  • Author
"I would love to," Lightning responded lowly, seeing Carson's question as an invitation to do just that. She quickly pushed herself up and attempted to slug him again, her swing having as much power behind it as the other two that landed and knocked him back. She wasn't some weak little girl that he could take advantage of. She was a fighter, and she was done with being ordered around by somebody who hated her so much. She wanted to never follow orders again, and to rebel forever. That was what her anger and frustration told her.

Carson had fast enough reflexes to lift a hand, grabbing Lightning's fist before it impacted his face. He then side-stepped, his other hand finding her shoulder as he forced her to turn and pulled back on her arm at the same time. He pinned it behind her back with a grunt, though he did more than that. He heard something snap, and he knew that Lightning's slugging was over.

Light's eyes widened when he grabbed her hand and shifted her position by brute force, a short cry leaving her lips when she felt her arm snap. She squeezed her eyes shut, unable to move and escape the strong hold that Carson had on her. And because her eyes were shut, she didn't see the two people in the distance watching the scene. She panted another swear word at Carson, her arm throbbing. She should have been prepared for something like this.

Carson shoved Lightning forward, keeping a tight grip on her arm. "Try anything and I'll make sure your other arm gets the same treatment," he threatened lowly. They were going to talk to the Captain soon enough. Lightning's time in the Corps was done.

Lightning lowered her head after stumbling forward a step, exhaling a heavy breath because of the pain and the humiliation. She didn't know that two people were watching, Namine near tears at the treatment Lightning was receiving. She knew her position well enough that she couldn't fight back, especially since Carson could twist her broken arm however he wanted to as long as he had his tight grip on it. She muttered a few more swears under her breath, unable to help it. Carson...You'll pay.

Carson kept his hold on the soldier, though he didn't move just yet. "You and I are going to the hospital to get an x-ray for your arm," he said then, his voice low. "Try fighting me, and I'll make sure my promise is fulfilled." He slowly loosened his grip on her arm before releasing her completely, his eyes locked on her. She wouldn't be able to use magic to cure her wound, not now. He knew she was able to use it, and he was going to make sure she didn't cheat her way through this.

Light grunted when he released her arm, the young woman taking a few steps forward and lifting her free hand to lightly sit on the broken bones. She winced and pulled away, though, turning around to face the lieutenant. "Screw you, Carson," she said lowly, reaching into the pouch on her leg and pulling out a potion. She quickly threw it over her head, grunting when the bone snapped into place again. It wasn't completely healed, but enough that Carson could no longer make a case against her. The use of magic was illegal, since it was proof that you were a l'Cie. He had wanted to prove that she was one of them, but she just thwarted his plan by using a potion, which was allowed. Glad I had one on hand.

Carson's eyebrows furrowed at what Lightning just did, seeing that she saw an easy way out of this situation. And a loophole in his plan. Fine, he thought bitterly. "The Captain will be hearing about this," he said, pointing at her again as he started toward the building, stepping past her. He would see it too; there were cameras outside the facility. Lightning wasn't getting out of this completely.
