Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Fine," Lightning said in recognition, not lifting her hand to her injured arm again as she kept an eye on Carson. She couldn't let him know that it was still injured. "And don't worry; I already know I'm suspended." She had suspended soldiers before, so she knew that the Captain would call her whenever her suspension ended. Until then, she had to stay away from the building and not be in contact with anyone within the Corps. No problem with that.
Roxas saw Carson march into the building, the door shutting behind him and locking Lightning out. Suspension? He knew what that meant, which was that Lightning wouldn't be coming back for a while. She was in trouble with the Corps. Big trouble.

Light curled her one hand into a fist, unable to curl the other because of the pain in her arm. She'd heal herself when she was far away from this place. She turned and started walking in the direction of her home, blinking when she saw two people standing there staring at her. And they weren't just any two people; they were Namine and Roxas. ...Crap, she was here to see me for lunch. Right? Or since Roxas was with her, maybe she was here to cancel lunch. That was alright with her; the two of them could have a nice day together. That was what she planned on telling them as she approached them, not sure what her expression showed.
Roxas couldn't squeeze Namine's hand in reassurance, her hand already gripping his too tightly for him to move it. He glanced from Lightning to her, seeing that her eyes were moist. He wondered if he needed to do the talking here, since Namine seemed a little too shocked to speak.

"You two have a nice day together," Lightning mumbled, speaking loudly enough as she walked that surely Roxas could at least hear her clearly. "I'm going to the Islands. I'll be back later." Until then, Namine could take care of Jasmine, and Roxas could take care of Namine. She hated that somebody so gentle had to see something so harsh, but that was just how things were right now. She kept walking, going past the two of them. She didn't want their pity.
Roxas opened his mouth to speak, turning his head to watch Lightning walk. Of course, he was speechless after witnessing something so harsh. He couldn't find anything to say anyway. I guess...now she's free to do what she wants. And that included leaving this world. But how would she do that?

Lightning turned and went behind a large hill, gripping her weapon. She shifted Paradigms and cast Cure over herself a few times, knowing that she was out of sight of everyone and every camera. She shut her eyes and summoned Odin, the horse appearing right in front of her. After opening her eyes, she easily climbed onto it and grasped his weapon, opening a portal out of sheer determination and riding him into it. She had to see Riku.

On Destiny Islands

Sounds of construction surrounded Riku as he worked, the young man crouched on top of a newly built house. He, along with a few other guys his age, was working on the roof, a hammer in his hand as he worked on pounding some nails. The radio was loud enough that he could hear some rock music, that helping to keep him entertained. He'd been hard at work since the last time he saw Lightning, though he hardly got any sleep lately. That was alright, since he got enough to function. He could concentrate on work in the heat and still live to see another day.

Sora faced the direction opposite of Riku on the roof, his gaze towards the beach. He blinked when he saw a portal appear right along the ground, a horse exiting out of it with a certain rider on it. Lightning was here? But how? She was supposed to be busy with work twenty-four-seven..."Riku," he said, trying to get his friend's attention. He'd want to see that his girlfriend was here, even if they apparently had a fight the other night.
"Not now, Sora," Riku said over the hammering and music. He grabbed another nail and set it in place, tapping it with his own tool before forcing it into the wood. He wasn't in the mood to talk about Lightning, since Sora tried that already. He didn't want to talk about anything. He just wanted to work, that way he could get everything off his mind.

"Lightning's here," Sora said, ignoring Riku's comment and keeping his eyes on Lightning on the beach. He saw her climb off her horse slowly and walk to the front of it. The brunet blinked when he saw the horse gently nudge Lightning with its nose, as if it were sad. ...Something's wrong. Even from his spot, he could also tell that Lightning's posture wasn't like it always was. What was going on?
Riku stopped hammering, his eyebrows furrowing as he looked over his shoulder at Sora. "What did you just say?" he asked then, unable to believe what Sora told him. Lightning couldn't be here; she was supposed to be working. Besides, why would she be here? He walked out on the argument they had the other night. She wouldn't want to see him.

Sora nodded slightly, knowing that Riku heard what he said just a minute ago. "Look to the beach," he said, eyebrows furrowed at the scene. It was becoming more and more clear that something was wrong, because Lightning was lingering there with Odin instead of seeing Riku. But she was here, so obviously she wanted to see him. Whatever brought her here, it wasn't just about that fight they had the other night. He could just feel it.
Riku let his eyes follow Sora's line of sight, and that was when he stood up. He turned around, the hammer loosely in his hand as he located his beloved. ...What? What was she doing here? Riku walked across the roof and used the ladder to climb down, not saying a word to Sora as he did so; his friend knew where he was going. He didn't care if he got in trouble for ditching work. Something was obviously up if Light was here out of the blue.

Lightning looked away from Odin finally, moving her face away from his. You're going to make me more emotional if you keep this up. She lifted a hand and set it on his head, shutting her eyes briefly as Odin vanished in a brief light. He wasn't needed for now, and he was really worn out because of the flight to Destiny Islands anyway. Light shifted her gaze to the main part of the islands, seeing a lot of work going on in this area. But her eyes didn't catch onto Sora or Riku.
Riku made sure to put his hammer back in his tool belt as he left, that way he didn't lose it when he went toward the beach. He was sweating somewhat because of the heat, even if he was wearing a beater. It didn't matter anyway, since he didn't need to dress up for Light. He didn't feel that he had to, especially today.

Guess the only way to find him is to look, Light thought, starting towards the town and, coincidentally, where Riku was coming from. She still didn't know what was expressed on her face, but she wasn't trying to cover anything up. She just got into serious trouble with Carson, and there was no telling when or if she would actually get her job back. Everything she worked so hard for was so close to slipping out of her hands, and she didn't know how to feel about that. She had just talked about quitting her job, but now...she didn't know what her feelings were. She was in a bit of a daze.
Riku walked around a corner, but his pace slowed slightly when he saw someone ascending the hill that led toward the beach. His curious and confused eyes rested on her as she came toward him, both of them traveling on the same path. But...why? "...Light?"

Light blinked at the call, her pale blue eyes finally landing on Riku. She stopped when she was close to him, nodding faintly. Maybe it was a greeting, maybe it was an acknowledgment that she was there...She didn't really know. She just wanted to forget about their fight the other day and feel comforted by his presence. Was that okay?
Riku's eyebrows furrowed, the boy stopping as well. She...doesn't look okay, he noticed. "What're you doing here?" he asked softly. The last time he checked, they weren't getting along. So why would she even come by? True, he told her that she knew where to find him, but still...he didn't expect her to come.

"I had to see you," Light said softly, her voice sounding off. She lifted a hand and tucked back some of her hair, that arm being the one that had previously been broken. She failed to notice there was a bruise on it, since the Cure spells didn't take away the wound completely. She had never had the strongest healing powers, and she doubted that would change anytime soon. That hardly mattered right now compared to other things.
Riku knew that gesture, and Claire always did it when she was upset about something. "...What's wrong?" he asked, failing to notice the bruise on her arm for the moment, his gaze on her face. She really looked upset, and he wanted nothing more than to help. But...did she want his help, or did she come just to tell him that (maybe) the problem was his fault?

Light glanced down to the side at the question, not surprised that Riku picked up on something so quickly. But she couldn't say it right away; first, she had a question to ask. "Can we forget about our fight, at least for now?" she asked softly. She just revealed that what was wrong wasn't their fight, since she wanted to push that aside. She needed his support right now, and to get that, they needed to put their fight behind them.
Riku lifted an eyebrow slightly at the suggestion, though he didn't refuse. "Uh...yeah, sure," he said with a small nod. But why would they need to do that? Something must have been worse than that in order for her to ask for it to be put aside. But what?

Lightning kept her gaze off Riku, her hand coming up on her wounded arm and sitting below the bruise. "I'm suspended from the Corps," she revealed softly after a few moments, hearing a combination of the ocean waves and the construction going on in the town. From what she saw earlier, the town looked great, but that was beside the point right now. Her life basically just came tumbling down.
