Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Light nodded slightly, lifting her eyes back up to Riku's again. "You have any work that can keep me busy?" she asked softly. She could keep up with the boys just fine, and she didn't really feel like sitting still and dwelling on everything that happened in the past few hours. If she couldn't just be with Riku, then distracting herself was the next best thing that she could do. And besides, the work could help her take out some frustration.
Riku shrugged. "Guess we'll find out," he said softly. He held his hand out for Light to take, planning to lead her back to the house he was working on. They were a little short since Roxas wasn't working today, but he was sure there was something Lightning could do until their shift was over.

Lightning hummed shortly, lifting one of her hands and lightly setting it in Riku's outstretched one. At least Riku wasn't going to keep her from working because of the stupid bruise on her arm; that would have been ridiculous. She had worked with far worse injuries before, and she doubted what Riku was doing was that strenuous. It couldn't be, since he was still functioning after weeks of working jobs like this.
Riku led Light up the path, going back the way he came. He held her hand securely in his own, though he made sure he was gentle as well. He felt awful for what he said to her the other night. He just wanted to be with her, fight or not.

Light lifted a hand and set it on Riku's arm, her other hand still in his as she walked beside him. She briefly ran her thumb over his arm before she looked up to his face, needing to say something even if they were going to get to work now. "Sorry about that stupid fight the other night. I was an idiot." She should have taken the hint and stopped being so forceful about her idea, since Riku hated it so much. She had just been desperate to keep him from thinking about sacrificing his life for her.
Riku shook his head, glancing down at Light. "I wasn't exactly civil either," he said with a weak smirk. "We're both idiots." But it was in the past, and he hoped it stayed that way. He didn't want another fight like that; he hated fighting with her.

Light felt herself smile weakly, her hand squeezing Riku's arm. "Idiots in love," she murmured, though that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. She had been an idiot because she didn't want Riku getting the idea that he could give up his life for her, and he was an idiot to stop her from doing the same thing with her own life. Both of them wanted to make the sacrifices in order to stop the other person to, because they were in love.
Riku couldn't help but smile slightly, nodding. "Right," he said softly. Idiots in love. They may have acted stupid the other night towards each other, but their feelings were still the same. He loved her, and she loved him. It was more than enough in his eyes.

Light looked ahead, feeling her faint smile disappear just because it was hard to avoid the feelings and thoughts about her job. This could get much worse than her just losing her job with the Corps; Carson may have had the power to file a lawsuit against her. She didn't know what for, but he could find something and bring a case against her. Such a snake.
Riku's eyes focused forward again, the sounds of construction louder now that he and Light were closer. He saw that Sora was still on the roof, and Riku would take his spot back as well, but first he had to find work for Lightning. After that, they could get the job over with so he and Lightning could be together, and Sora could go to Kairi like he talked about earlier.

Lightning was glad that she was able to work, because she and Riku ended up working for a few hours. But eventually the work did come to an end, and so did the job itself, since they finished the roof. Light jumped down off the roof without using that ladder, not having a problem landing on her feet. She did feel tired from the work, her confrontation with Carson earlier, and from weeks worth of pressure with the Corps, but she wasn't going to collapse because of any of that; she didn't want to have a breakdown.
Riku was already on the ground, the boy lifting a hand and waving to the other workers. "Catch ya later!" he called at one of their goodbyes. He put his hands on his hips and sighed, shaking his head as he looked down at the ground. They did well today, but he was tired. After all, he hadn't gotten the best sleep lately.

Light glanced towards the beach and the play island in silence, lifting a hand to cover the bruise on her arm. Sora was his usual self today, trying to be cheery and helpful and kind. He pointed out her bruise and thought she got it from working, and she quickly shut down that conversation by just saying she did get it working. After several attempts to talk to her, Sora finally got smart and gave her some room. The glares from Riku probably helped give him the message that she wasn't in the mood to talk.
Riku lifted his head, his eyes instantly finding the woman he loved. He lowered his hands from his sides and started toward her, his tool belt still around his waist; he had to take it home so he could use it another day. "So, ready to head back?" he asked, seeing that her back was to him. Riku wasn't talking about her going back to Cocoon, but for her to go to his house with him...and stay. If she could.

Lightning blinked at the question, turning to look at Riku without noticing that her eyes were moist. "Sorry, what?" she asked, having not heard the question specifically, only his voice. She wasn't one to daydream often, but she had a feeling that she'd probably be staring off into space for a while. She basically had all the time in the world, after all.
As he got closer, Riku noticed the moisture in Lightning's eyes. He came to a stop next to her, his eyebrows furrowing. "...Light," he said softly. Was she crying? The last time he saw her do that, she was miserable. Was...her loss of a job causing this?

Light furrowed her eyebrows at Riku's tone, not understanding why he was staring at her the way that he was. "What?" she asked, still gazing at him. His tone was sad, but she hadn't given him any reason to be sad right now, right? It wasn't like she wasn't covering up her emotions with a mask, because she was, to the best of her ability.
Riku lifted his hand to Lightning's shoulder, tilting his head a little. "...What's wrong?" he asked. Did she really have to ask? She was tearing up, and he hated it. But what was her reason for it? If he could, he would help. Any way that he could.

Lightning glanced away, letting some of her soft pink hair hide her eyes. That must have been what set him off; her eyes couldn't lie. "Heh. You have to ask?" she asked softly, that being the only response she could think of. She worked very hard for her position in the Corps, and if she was going to be away from it, she wanted it to be her decision. That, and she wanted to walk away with honor, not be fired because of snapping at a lieutenant.
Riku didn't speak at first, wrapping his arm completely around Lightning's shoulders as he stood next to her. "Hey," he said softly. "It's gonna be alright. Everything will work itself out." She wasn't allowed to talk to anyone of the Corps or be on its grounds, so she was stuck waiting on the sidelines for the next step to be made. He felt bad...and wondered if there was any way he could go talk to someone for her.

Lightning didn't change her position and wrap an arm around Riku's lower back, nor did she lean into him when he wrapped an arm around her. She hummed to what he said, but not because she agreed; it was just because she didn't want to have an argument with him right now. Honestly, she felt her exhaustion catching up with her again, and when that happened, her emotions were more intense than they should have been.
Riku didn't do anything when he didn't get a response, having a hint as to why. Light was really upset, and she didn't want to talk about it. He understood. "You want me to take you back home?" he asked then, knowing she rode Odin here. That couldn't have been easy on him.

Light shrugged faintly under Riku's shoulders, her gaze staying out in front of her. "I wouldn't mind staying a little longer," she said softly. With you. "...But if you don't have time to stay out later, then I guess you should take me home." She supposed she could have stayed with him tonight, but she might already have Namine worried about her. But if she was really that worried, maybe she would come back with Roxas to check on her. Things could unfold in a lot of ways.
Riku ran his hand over Light's shoulder, his eyes still on her. "It's up to you," he told her gently. If she wanted to stay, she could. But if she wanted to go home, he would take her on his glider. It was the least he could do; she had a rough enough day.

Light shook her head slightly, turning her head to look up at Riku. "Whatever fits best with your schedule. You decide," she said softly. If he had work to do tonight and didn't have time to spend with her, then he could fly her home now and then come back. Or if he had the whole night free, they could be together at her house or at his. It was up to him.
