Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku gazed at Lightning's eyes for a moment, but then he finally answered. "...We'll go back to Cocoon," he said with a small nod. "I just hope you don't mind some company." He smiled a little, tilting his head. He would stay...if that was alright. He slept best when he was with her anyway.

Light smiled weakly, shaking her head. "Roxas and Namine are going to be there anyway," she reminded him softly, knowing that he was referring to himself as the company she would have. The two of them were probably at her house, since it was getting dark in this world and closer to dinner time in hers. Surely Namine was on top of things and taking care of Riku's dog while Lightning couldn't.
Riku's smile widened slightly. "Alright. I'll get changed and we can go." He was looking forward to this, since he wanted to be with Light tonight. Like every other night. His life just wasn't the same when she wasn't around.

"Alright," Light said with a small nod, unfolding her arms and keeping her eyes on Riku's for the longest that she had been on the world. She didn't like holding eye contact for long since she knew her eyes expressed what emotions her mask didn't cover, but she liked seeing Riku's eyes. He was calm and composed and strong when she wasn't, and she appreciated it.

Riku took Lightning home after he changed, the boy walking into the house behind her. He heard the television on, so he guessed that meant that Roxas and Namine were here. "Home sweet home," he said, shutting the sliding glass door to the balcony behind him. He thought he had a right to say that for himself as well, since this was a second home to him. A home away from home, and one that he loved.

Lightning hummed, sidestepping when a brown blur ran past her to its true owner. Jasmine always was more affectionate with girls, but she was that way with Riku as well since he was her master. She remembered back to when she first saw Riku and Jasmine, and how surprised she was that he'd have a dog like this. Jazz was playful, and back then, Riku wasn't. At least not in her perspective.
Riku's eyes widened, the boy grunting when Jasmine jumped and set her front paws on his chest. He stepped back slightly because of her weight, since she'd gotten bigger. "Hey, Jazz," he greeted, lifting one hand to her side as the other rubbed her head. She panted in his face, but he smiled nonetheless.

Lightning stopped walking and looked over her shoulder, smirking slightly at Riku and Jazz. She leaned her back against the wall and kept the same expression, amused. "A man and his dog," she mused softly, figuring that Riku could probably hear her. His senses were excellent, not just because of his experience with the Darkness, but because he was strong mentally and physically.
Riku looked up at Light with the same smile, though it turned into a smirk when her words registered. "And what about this man and his dog?" he encouraged her, still rubbing Jasmine's head. She was heavier than he remembered, but he hadn't seen her for a while. It was alright.

"Nothing," Light said, shaking her head faintly. "Just thinking a man can treat his dog better than his girl sometimes." She smirked faintly, letting him know that she was only joking and making fun of him for being devoted to Jasmine right now. Lightning had gotten plenty of attention earlier, and she just had the privilege to hold onto Riku for a little during their flight back. She wasn't upset he liked his dog so much.
Riku shook his head as he looked at Lightning, though he thought he would play along. "She came first," he said, patting Jasmine's head. He then winked at the woman he loved, showing that he too was just playing with her. He loved Light with all he had. She was amazing, in more ways than one.

Light shook her head slightly, willing her slight smirk to fade away as she kept up the little game, though her heart wasn't really in it. "Some excuse," she said, turning and walking the direction she had been going before. She felt her heart get heavier when she did, everything from earlier starting to sink in again even if things were lighter just a second ago. Her problems wouldn't go away so easily.
"Hmph." Riku smirked again before telling Jasmine to get down, who obediently followed orders. He then followed Light, his gaze on the back of her head. He didn't really want to look at anything or anyone else.

Namine briefly heard the voices from the other area of the house, footsteps then sounding more clear as they got closer. She turned her head and looked back at the doorway, surprised to see who was back already. "Lightning," she said, her voice reflecting that surprise. She had figured that she would spend the whole day and possibly the night with Riku, but here she was. Was she okay?
"And Riku," the silver-haired teen said, waving slightly at the two people on the couch. Roxas turned around when Namine spoke before, and he nodded to Riku in greeting. Roxas and Namine looked relaxed; he could only guess that was what they were doing most of the day. He couldn't blame them; days off were nice.

Namine caught Lightning nod in greeting to both her and Roxas, the blonde letting her eyes linger on her. She couldn't help it, since the last time she saw Light, things were pretty bad. She wanted to ask if she was okay, but she didn't even get the chance to do that before Light dismissed herself, mumbling something about getting a glass of water. The blonde watched her go into the kitchen, the sight making her sad. Light's not okay still.
Riku leaned against the wall, though he watched Lightning go for a moment. However, Roxas broke the silence, asking him about work. He told him about the day and how much progress was done, but there wasn't much else to say than that. Besides, Riku was worried about Light. He didn't want her to be sad anymore, but there wasn't anything he could do, was there?

Namine listened into the conversation, not that there was too much she could relate to since she didn't know anything about construction. She had gone through this with Roxas earlier, when he tried explaining what they were doing to her. The blonde didn't have much of a reason to learn, since she was living here with Lightning. But would Light continue living here now that her job was gone? She heard the argument she had with Riku the other night; she knew Lightning wanted to be with him. But that would leave Namine without a home.
Riku excused himself once the conversation with Roxas was done, letting the blond get back to watching some TV. He entered the kitchen, wondering how Light was holding up; she'd been in here for a while.

Lightning was making coffee instead of just getting a glass of water, since she was so tired. But Riku made it sound like he was staying for a while, so she couldn't just fall asleep on him. At least, that was how she saw things. She stood by the coffee pot and waited, hands on the counter as she faced to look out the window at a world where the sun was just setting. Still have a few hours left in the day. Gotta stay with it.
Riku quietly made his way to Lightning when he saw her position, stopping behind her in silence. He wrapped his arms around her from behind and pressed his chest against her back. Would he be able to lay with her like this tonight? He hoped so; he missed that aspect of staying with her.

Lightning blinked in surprise when Riku wrapped his arms around her, the young woman having not even heard him come into the kitchen. She shut her eyes, lifting one of her hands to his arms. "You shouldn't sneak up on me you know," she murmured softly. In other circumstances, she would have first interpreted a close touch like this to be a threat, and she would have shoved him away pretty forcefully. But the gentleness of the hold gave away that it was him, so obviously she didn't do anything rash.
"Maybe not," Riku said softly, leaning the side of his face against Lightning's head. "But it's my specialty." He snuck up on everyone, even though it wasn't always the best choice. He remembered sneaking up on Terra once, who drew out his sword and pointed it right at Riku's throat. He had to be careful with just who he sneaked up on.

Claire hummed, smiling ever so slightly at the comment. That was absolutely true. Riku was naturally stealthy and quiet, so he could sneak up on people whether he initially meant to or not. She personally didn't like being sneaked up on, but then again, who did? Being startled wasn't the most pleasant emotion in the world. And neither is the feeling of being suspended from a job that's dominated your life since you were a teen.
"Besides, when this is the result, you don't mind, do you?" Riku glanced away from the setting sun outside the window and instead to the woman he was holding. He missed this, just being with her. He guessed now he would have a lot of time, though it was unfortunate; she temporarily lost her job, which was never a good reason for him to have Lightning to himself.
