Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"I guess the end justifies the means," Lightning responded, shutting her eyes without feeling remorse about not looking out the window to the sunset like she assumed Riku was doing. Besides, she was tired. She needed that coffee to finish so that she could get some energy, at least enough that she could stay awake and spend some time with the man that she loved.
Riku smiled slightly, but then it vanished as he leaned his head forward, kissing Light's head of pink hair. Once he pulled back, he stood still, his eyes going out the window again. There wasn't much time to do what he wanted anymore, but hopefully things would die down soon. Light needed him.

Light opened her eyes after a few moments, hearing the coffee maker beep now that her beverage was ready. That machine had gotten a lot of use lately, since she lived on coffee and stamina the past few weeks of work. Ugh, it just keeps coming back to that, Lightning thought, sick of thinking over it over and over again. It was stupid Carson's fault that this happened.
Riku blinked at the sound, his eyes finding the coffee machine. "I'll leave you to it," he told Lightning softly, starting to release her. She needed to get some caffeine, and he just wanted to sit down for a while. He would go in the living room until she was done.

"You want any?" Light asked softly, taking her hand off Riku's arm and turning her head a little to look at him. She made enough for two mugs, so he could have some if he wanted to. She already knew from Namine that neither she nor Roxas liked coffee, so they didn't need any.
Riku shook his head, his arms now at his sides. "Take as much as you need," he said, smiling a little. He then turned around, starting out of the room. He would leave Light to get her coffee, and maybe some time alone to think, while he sat down with Namine and Roxas.

Namine didn't hear Lightning hum in response to Riku and move to get her coffee, though the blonde was trying to eavesdrop even though she knew it was wrong. She didn't want to ask Lightning boldly if she was alright, because it was clear to her that she wasn't. She didn't want to bring up the touchy subject of what happened earlier and upset her more, but she did want to know if she could help somehow. It didn't seem like she could.
Roxas turned his head when he caught movement out of the corner of his eye, seeing Riku enter the room. His friend sat himself down in the only chair that matched the couch set, obviously thinking about something. Roxas was curious about what it was, but he didn't want to ask. It probably wasn't any of his business anyway.

Namine followed Riku with her eyes, seeing him sit down and get comfortable in the chair. Since she did care about Lightning, she couldn't help but speak up. "Riku, is Light okay?" she asked softly, looking at Lightning's boyfriend. Light didn't seem much better now than she had earlier, at least not in Namine's eyes. That wasn't good.
Riku glanced at Namine at the question, though he looked away a second later. "As okay as she can be, I guess," he said, lifting an arm to sit on the chair. He set his cheek against fist, staring down at the coffee table. He couldn't say much more than that, since he didn't really know how else to respond.

Namine glanced away, silently tucking a strand of blonde hair behind her ear. She didn't know how to respond, and judging by Riku's posture, he was worried about her too. But there wasn't anything any of them could do to help; this was within the Corps, and none of them could stick up for her in any way to those people. There was nothing at all they could do.

"I wouldn't doubt it," Roxas said, going along with what Riku said. "Carson was kinda rough on her..." More than that, actually. It was awful, especially when he broke her arm. In Roxas's eyes, that was unnecessary.

Riku's eyebrows furrowed, his gaze going to Roxas immediately. "...Were you there?" he asked. If they knew something, either of them, they needed to let him know. This was Lightning...Claire...the love of his life that was hurt. He didn't like being out of the loop.

Namine nodded faintly, looking over at Riku again. "I had lunch plans with her before Roxas came, so we went to the work to meet her and ask if we could have the day together," she revealed softly. But they had never gotten the opportunity to speak to Lightning, because that was when Carson was up in her face. Namine never could have guessed Lightning put up with somebody so cruel every day. How did she do it?
Roxas nodded to agree with Namine's story, his eyes leaving her and finding Riku. He saw the look on his friend's face and already knew what he was thinking. "That was when Carson showed up and started giving her a hard time over some lousy paperwork," he said, his eyebrows furrowing. "It was stupid to me." He didn't understand why somebody made such a big deal out of paperwork, but Carson did. And it didn't end well.

"He was a real jerk," Namine added, not wanting to get into full details with the story. It had been hard to watch, seeing somebody she considered to be a friend get harassed like that. Seriously, Carson was a terrible lieutenant if he treated everyone that way. But she doubted that was the case; apparently Carson especially hated Lightning for some reason.
Riku didn't say anything after that, staring at the ground. He remembered how much paperwork Lightning had worked on over the last couple weeks, recalling that she was miserable and exhausted throughout the whole thing. He agreed with Namine, too--Carson was a jerk, even worse than that. I want to talk to him, face to face.

"It was good she stuck up for herself and all," Namine continued, faintly shaking her head and looking down towards the ground. "But obviously it didn't end well." And Namine wasn't sure if Light was sticking up for herself or if she just lost her temper and snapped. She had never seen her so angry before, nor could she have imagined Lightning have a rage that extreme. It was crazy.

Riku's eyebrows were furrowed deeply by this point, and he was glad to hear that Light stood up for herself. He hadn't expected anything less. "How upset was she?" he asked then.

"It was pretty bad," Roxas answered, scratching the back of his head. "I don't know if she told you, but she slugged him a few times...and used a few curse words." That was surprising. He knew that Light was a physical person, but he hadn't expected that kind of language to leave her mouth.

Riku blinked at that, looking up to his friends. She cussed? He was a little surprised at that, not expecting it. He figured the punching, sure, but yelling and cursing? Not at all.

"I never thought she could be so angry," Namine said, faintly shaking her head. "She's normally so calm and in control..." But earlier today, it seemed as if her anger was in control. And Carson, he took that control away from her when he snapped her arm and kept her from moving at the threat of breaking it worse, and breaking the other arm. No wonder Light hated him.
Riku could feel one of his friends' eyes on him, but he only stared at the ground now. He wouldn't know what that was like. He'd been on the receiving end of Lightning's anger before, but never to that extreme.

Light listened to the conversation from her spot in the kitchen, a back against the wall as she held her mug of coffee in her hands. You guys done talking about me behind my back? she silently thought, hearing about a minute of silence after Namine's comment. She supposed that they were finished now. She finally pushed herself off the wall and walked into the living room with her beverage, acting like she hadn't heard a thing.
Riku sensed Lightning come into the room, his back toward the kitchen from his seat in the chair. Regardless, he didn't move, his mind wrapped around what happened with Carson. He knew that guy was difficult, but he was worse than he thought. Way worse, and he wanted Carson to pay for what he did.

Lightning walked around Riku's chair and sat down on the ground in front of him with her mug, ignoring Namine's gaze on her. She pretended to be focused on the television program as she lifted her mug and sipped her coffee, hoping that the caffeine would make her feel more energized and take away this lousy feeling she was experiencing.
Riku had his legs parted to begin with, so when Light sat down, she was right between them. He stared at the back of her head in deep thought, but then forced himself to look away. She was smart; she would sense his gaze on her if he held it any longer. He tried focusing on the show on the television for now, though he doubted it would work. He was infuriated.

You guys take me for a fool, huh? Lightning thought silently, feeling Riku take his gaze off her and then Namine follow suit. She knew that they were talking about her when she was out of the room, and she could feel Riku's anger coming off of him. He was practically seething, and yet he thought that she couldn't see it. Seriously, did they think she was that dumb?
