Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Sora lifted his head in surprise, eyes blue eyes landing on the redhead that was standing nearby. She was within close proximity to him, but here he was getting hugged by some other girl! And Kairi clearly wasn't happy about it...How could I have let Selphie set me up like this? he thought miserably, his eyes stuck on Kairi.

Selphie's head lifted off Sora's chest and turned to look at her former friend. "Kairi," she said in a little surprise. She hadn't seen her in a while. What was she doing here?

Kairi didn't glare at Selphie like she should have, too sad to do that. Instead, she only crossed her arms, uncomfortable with this situation. "...Could you let go of Sora, please?" she asked quietly, though her voice held a bit of defense to it.

Sora blinked, looking down to Selphie before he looked back to Kairi. He knew that tone; she was getting defensive. But she had no reason to be that way, unless...She was defending him? Would she even do that? Why?

Selphie's eyebrows furrowed. "Why should I?" she asked. She didn't want to; she liked being this way with him. He was strong, and she liked hugging that kind of body. And Kairi wasn't dating him anymore. She had no right to tell Selphie to step away.

Kairi took in a small breath at the question, though she remained composed. "Sora's not returning the favor. I'd take that as a sign," she said bluntly, glancing at Sora before her eyes immediately darted back to Selphie.

Whoa, don't bring me into this, Sora thought, eyes widening slightly when Kairi directly brought him into the conversation. He knew that he was the reason why Kairi came over now, and he didn't like how things were going so far. If things got heated, he didn't know how he would handle it.

Selphie's eyes widened, and she did let go after hearing that. One of the reasons was because Kairi was right, but the other was because she was getting defensive as well. "Are you serious, Kairi? Why do you even care?"

Kairi lowered her eyes to the sand at that, not answering. Because I love him...she thought mentally, though she didn't speak it aloud. And I don't like seeing him with you. But could she say that after what she did?

Sora could easily answer Selphie's first question: Yes, Kairi was absolutely serious. And he could take a guess at the second one. She still cared...didn't she? But, why did she break up with him?

"You're not with him anymore," Selphie continued, frowning at Kairi. "So who are you to tell me what I can and cannot do with him?"

Kairi looked up at that, embarrassed that Sora was here to witness this, but angry and not able to hold herself back at the same time. "You're not with him either," she said. "So who are you to throw yourself on him like you are?"

They're fighting over me?! Sora thought, looking from girl to girl until his gaze landed on Kairi again. He had never dealt with this type of thing before, at least not with him being the person being fought over. He had won Kairi's heart against Nathaniel a while ago, but he had been fighting for her that time. This time...was she fighting for him?

Selphie's eyes widened again at that, and she didn't know what to say. She glanced at Sora in shock, but her eyes found Kairi again. "I...I--"

"Sorry, Selphie, but it's time for you to leave," Kairi said, her arms still crossed over her chest. "Whatever you planned to do here isn't working out. Try again later, okay?" She was of course being sarcastic; she would never really mean that.

Sora heard the bite in Kairi's voice, and it left him in stunned silence. He had never heard her speak so harshly to somebody before, especially not somebody who she used to be so close to. But it seemed to him that Selphie and Kairi weren't really friends now, and after this situation, she doubted they ever would be again. Was that his fault...?

Selphie rolled her eyes once her shock wore off. "Whatever, Kairi!" she snapped, before then turning and taking her leave. She didn't even say bye to Sora, just marching off in anger.

Kairi followed Selphie with her eyes until her back was to her, and then she dropped her gaze to the ground. She was embarrassed, hurt, sad, and ashamed of herself. All of them had something to do with Sora, unfortunately.

  • Author
Sora glanced over his shoulder, seeing Selphie storm off. He should have felt upset that the squabble had occurred because of him, but right now, he was just relieved. He had been feeling really uncomfortable with how Selphie was treating him, and he was grateful that Kairi stepped in even if she did lose her temper. He looked over to her at the thought, hands loose and uncurled by his sides.
After a moment, Kairi felt a soft gaze on her, and she lifted her eyes timidly, since she knew who it was. Her eyes met Sora's briefly, but then she looked away again. After everything that had happened, it was hard to look him in the eye without feeling awful.
  • Author
Sora looked down towards the ground, lifting a hand and scratching the side of his head. "Uh," he said dumbly, though he didn't stop with that one stutter. "...Thanks." Even if the two of them weren't really speaking these days, he was glad she got Selphie off of him.
"You're welcome," Kairi replied quietly, glancing up at Sora for a second before her eyes found something else to stare at again. Her eyes had briefly spotted his chest, but she knew it was not a good time to admire his physique. Right now, there were a lot more important things to think about.

Sora's eyes landed on his clothes on the ground, and he knew that now was a good time to put his shirt back on. Even if he wasn't dry, he would have put them back on. He took a step over and knelt down, picking up his sleeveless shirt and putting it on.
Kairi wasn't sure what she was going to do now. Her talk with Namine had her motivated enough to at least confront Sora, but after what just happened with Selphie... Everything was just gone. She hadn't planned on that happening at all, and now things were just...awkward.
  • Author
It only took a few more moments for Sora to put on his jacket and then tie his shoes, and when he was done, he rose to his feet. He looked at Kairi and fought the urge to rub a hand over his hair, since that gesture would reveal that he felt the awkward tension in the air.
But Kairi knew that now was no time for excuses. She had to say something to Sora since she was already here... "Um," she started quietly, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. "Terra found me and Riku... He told us what you did for us...and what happened."
  • Author
Sora blinked, surprised that she and Riku had that information. He had somehow hoped that they never would have known about what happened with his Keyblade. "...Yeah," he said softly, his gaze on the sand. He had fought Vanitas when he was weak, and his Keyblade shattered because of it. He no longer wielded it...
Kairi's eyes were stuck on Sora now, having heard his tone of voice. He was devastated...wasn't he? "...I am so sorry," she apologized softly, her voice sincere. "Riku and I... We would never want this for you."
  • Author
"I know," Sora said softly, nodding faintly to go along with his words as he stared at the sand. He may not have spoken to either of his friends lately, but he knew that they would never want anything bad to happen to him. And this was worse than just "bad"; it was devastating.
Kairi took a small step forward, unable to help herself. However, she stopped herself from going any closer, at least for now. "Sora..." she started quietly. "...Don't be mad at Riku. This... It's all my fault."
  • Author
Sora shook his head slightly, looking up at Kairi when she took a step closer. "I'm not mad at either of you," he responded softly. How could he be mad at the two people that he was fighting for? He knew going into that battle that things would be dangerous...but he couldn't have predicted what would have happened with his Keyblade.
