Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Kairi only felt confused at Sora's words. "How couldn't you be?" she asked softly. "We're the reason you lost your Keyblade..." Well, she was the main reason, but Terra even said that Sora's friends were his power. And without them, there was no Keyblade. But it was even more true without his Light...which she was.

"You guys were also the reason why I was fighting," Sora responded softly. He hadn't gone to Vanitas's Lingering Sentiment because he wanted to ensure the protection of the worlds; he had gone so that he could free his friends from their nightmares. And since Kairi was able to look at him now, he guessed that the mission had been successful.
Kairi closed her mouth, not knowing what to say to that. She bit her lip and looked to the sand beneath her feet. Maybe that was true, what Sora said. But...that didn't make her feel any better... Then again, she probably wasn't supposed to.

Sora lifted a hand, scratching his cheek as he looked down towards the ground again. "Aqua warned me that something bad could happen if I fought too long without my true power," he said softly. "...I just didn't know that it would be this awful." He lost his Keyblade because he hadn't had his friends' support behind him.
Kairi closed her eyes, Sora's words hurting her. But she knew that she deserved the pain, since she had caused him more than that just recently. This was her fault more than Riku's...and surely Sora knew that.

Sora felt the hurt in Kairi's heart, but he didn't know what to do about it. Honestly, he was hurting so much that he didn't think he could help anybody else right now. He was glad Kairi was speaking to him again, but still, he felt like they lost their relationship. Unless...Kairi wanted to date him again?
"You say that you're not mad," Kairi started softly, her eyes lifting from the sand to Sora. "But I know that you're sad. If you need to put that on anyone, put it on me. I'm willing to accept it...after everything that I've put you through." She felt her eyes stinging, but she ignored it to the best of her ability. "It'd only be fair."

Sora's eyes softened, and he instinctively took a small step forward. "You know I'd never do that," he said quietly, looking Kairi in the eye. Even if she deserved something bad or saddening, he would never place his burdens on her. He loved her too much to willingly hurt her.
"...You should," Kairi said, truly looking Sora in the eyes for the first time in a long while. "Your Light wasn't with you when you needed it most... I took away a huge part of you, Sora. I deserve some sort of punishment." If the awful emotions weren't enough, she would take more. She needed to...and she would, for him.

"I don't care what you deserve," Sora responded softly, tempted to lift a hand and tuck back some of Kairi's red hair. Instead, he kept his hands by his side and looked her in the eye. He was going to treat her well, because he loved her.
Kairi felt the tears forming, but she blinked, trying to force them away. "Why not?" she asked quietly, briefly noting that this was as close as either of them had been to each other in what felt like an eternity. She was to blame for that, of course.

Sora took another small step forward, right by Kairi now. He held her gaze, looking down at her from his slightly taller height. "...Because I love you," he said softly. He always had, and he always would.
The words caught Kairi off guard, stunning her into silence. Not only that, but her throat swelled up due to the tears that were working their way to spilling from her eyes. Her heart had fallen to her stomach after it skipped a beat, and she remembered what Namine said. "He's hopelessly in love with you, Kairi." And Kairi's best friend hadn't been wrong... It was true. Sora still loved her, even after what she did.

Sora silently looked into Kairi's eyes, noticing that the tears had increased. Had he been wrong to say that? Did she not feel the same anymore? He felt fear for a moment, wondering if he shouldn't have said that.
Kairi shook her head, lowering her eyes from Sora's when a tear fell. "Sora..." she said. He was far too sweet. So kind...and loving. She deserved awful consequences for her actions, not his love.

Sora kept his eyes on Kairi when she looked away, and he was under the impression that he shouldn't have just said that. But he would never take it back, because he meant what he said. Kairi was still very important to him, even after everything that occurred.
Kairi felt another tear trickle down her cheek as she stared at Sora's feet right in front of hers, so close to the boy that she loved with all she had. "...You're so unpredictable, you big goof," she whispered softly. She would have never guessed that he would say he loved her after what she did to him in their secret place...after taking away his magical power.
  • Author
Sora felt confusion replace the fear, Kairi's name-calling making that disappear. She wouldn't have called him a goof if she was upset with him, so he was glad to hear the name even if he wasn't trying to be goofy with her. He was serious about loving her, and he always would be no matter what struggles they went through.
Kairi lifted her eyes to Sora's then, having felt his gaze on her for too long without meeting it. She blinked to clear her watery eyes, seeing his handsome face better. "...You surprise me so much," she said quietly. Kairi never expected him to be this way with her; she figured he would walk away from her, ignore her, even scream at her. But he did just the opposite.
  • Author
Sora tilted his head slightly, his expression meant to encourage Kairi to continue. He surprised her how? By not walking away? Kairi should have known him better than that; he wouldn't do that, especially when she approached him. He had stayed away from her lately in case she still had nightmares, but that was different.
Kairi smiled weakly, realizing what that head tilt meant. "I thought you would be really angry with me for what I caused you lately," she admitted quietly. "...But you're not. It's a little confusing."
  • Author
"You know I don't get angry with you too often," Sora said softly. He was more...disappointed, that she hadn't come to him in the first place about Vanitas. Even if she couldn't have said it to his face, she could have contacted him in another obvious was.
Kairi's weak smile had vanished when she spoke, and upon hearing Sora's words, it only stayed invisible. "I know..." she said, lowering her eyes to his chest. He'd gotten mad at her in the past, but still. She figured this would have been one of those rare times.

"I don't want to fight with you, Kairi," Sora continued softly. And the best way for that to happen was for him not to hold a grudge. And honestly, he was too miserable to hold onto anything other than his sadness right now. He could have been angry with Riku and Kairi, but he wasn't. He was just sad.
Kairi nodded slightly, understanding that. She didn't want to fight either. They'd gone two weeks without speaking or seeing each other. It was awful, and really difficult to accept. Kairi didn't want to accept it.
