Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"So I'm not going to hold a grudge," Sora declared softly. He refused to do that to the girl that he loved, or his best friend.
Kairi nodded again, lifting her eyes back to Sora's face. "Riku will be happy to hear that," she said softly. And he would. Riku was worried too, if not more than she was.

Sora hummed slightly, having not forgotten about his other friend. He wondered where he was, and what he was up to, but he wasn't about to ask. Hopefully he'd run into Riku sometime and make things right.
Kairi smiled weakly for only a second, the smile vanishing just as quickly as it came. Her eyes lingered on Sora's but instantly fell to something else, like the water that was rolling in behind Sora. Kairi lifted her hand and tucked some hair behind her ear, getting it out of her face from when the breeze blew it. She wasn't sure what to say now... She was just glad she and Sora were talking.

"...You two are both okay now, right?" Sora asked, needing confirmation that things were really settled with their nightmares. Kairi was acting like she was okay now (at least in the sense of not having nightmares), but he felt the need to double-check.
Even if she had just looked away, Kairi instantly found Sora's face again at the question. She nodded slightly. "Mm, he's not bothering either of us anymore," she answered softly. Vanitas was nowhere in her dreams, or in her reality. Same for Riku, aside from the reality part; he never saw Vanitas in Sora like she did.

Sora hummed slightly, nodding. He was glad to hear that; that meant that his sacrifice hadn't been for nothing. He couldn't wield the Keyblade, but his friends could feel at peace again. That made him feel a tiny bit better.
"...Thank you, by the way," Kairi said, realizing that she hadn't shown her gratitude for Sora's sacrifice. She still felt guilty over the whole thing, even if he said he wasn't mad at her, but she was also thankful. He saved her from a hard time of misery. Unfortunately, her rescue only caused him his own sorrow.

"Sure," Sora responded softly, glancing down at the ground. They were both thinking about it now...the Keyblade. Things turned out alright for Riku and Kairi, but Sora lost something very important to him, and he wasn't sure he could ever get it back.
Kairi rubbed her arm a little at Sora's expression, hating to see the evident sadness on his face. "Riku and I will do anything we can to help you get it back," she told him softly. After what he did for them, there was no doubt about it in her mind.

"I don't know if that's possible, Kairi," Sora responded softly, keeping his eyes on the ground. Aqua wasn't even sure about it, and that wasn't comforting to him. It seemed like it was lost forever.
Kairi blinked at Sora's words, having believed that he would have had the most faith out of all of them that it could happen. But maybe she was wrong. Without thought, Kairi lifted a hand and set it on Sora's arm. "It is," she assured him. "It has to be."

Sora looked up at Kairi when she spoke to him, and he felt the warmth of her hand on his arm. He didn't agree with that, but he didn't feel like protesting.
Kairi looked into Sora's eyes then, sincerity in her gaze. "The Keyblade is yours," she said quietly. "It belongs to you, and you deserve to have that kind of power. After all you've done, it can't simply give up on you." He was one of the strongest people she knew, in both body and heart. The Keyblade was his, and his only.

"It doesn't belong to me anymore, Kairi," Sora said softly, shaking his head. It rejected him completely, and it wouldn't even let him hold Roxas's Keyblade. He was just like a normal person now...
Kairi's hope diminished at Sora's words, the girl's expression showing the same. She lowered her eyes to the sand beneath their feet, her hand slowly leaving Sora's arm. It wasn't his anymore? It didn't belong to him? The only reason she could think that was possible was because of her. She took it away from him...

"Roxas tried giving me his," Sora informed Kairi softly. "But I couldn't hold it. It doesn't accept me anymore..." And he couldn't believe it. He had used it so much, and done so much good with it. Now, it was gone.
Kairi closed her eyes, bowing her head a little in shame. "I'm sorry..." she whispered quietly. It was her and Riku's fault, though her friend's was only partial. She held a majority of the responsibility concerning this.

Sora waited for a few moments, his head lowered as well. "That's how things are now," he said softly. He couldn't wield the Keyblade; he had to accept it.
Kairi shook her head, not wanting to believe that. There had to be some way to get it back, right? It couldn't just...leave Sora like this! The Keyblade chose him for a reason, and stuck with him for years. It couldn't just decide that he wasn't fit for it anymore...

Sora heard Kairi's silence, and he let it linger since he didn't know what to say. He really wished things were different, but he had to see that this was reality. He made a sacrifice for his friends...That was never a bad thing, right?
He probably doesn't want me here, Kairi thought sadly, keeping her eyes closed. I'm the one responsible for this, after all. It'd only make sense. Little did she know, her heart transferred her thoughts without her permission. But what could she do about that? Nothing; her heart shared whatever it wanted to, whether she knew what it said or not.
  • Author
Sora instantly looked up at Kairi, hearing the thoughts in his heart. "Don't...say that," he said weakly. "That's not how I feel." He didn't want her to leave; he wanted to be with her, because he loved her with all his heart.
"Hm?" Kairi hummed automatically, lifting her head with startled eyes. What did Sora mean? It only took her a minute to really analyze what he said, and she looked away in embarrassment. Why did her heart do that to her...at the worst of times?
  • Author
"I don't want you to leave," Sora clarified softly. As for the responsibility part...He really couldn't argue against that, unfortunately. And both of them knew that, so that was why he wasn't mentioning it aloud.
