Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning started straying from the trio that remained, her footsteps slow and calculated. She couldn't really say why she was walking in this direction, where there were rocks that appeared to be part of a castle at one point. She lowered her nose to the ground instinctively, not thinking about her actions. Something didn't seem right to her.
Roxas started walking around in the grass after a little while, catching onto this whole wolf thing. It wasn't what he was used to, since his senses were enhanced tenfold. His vision was sharper, he could smell a lot better, and he could hear a lot more, even Riku's footsteps as he worked on walking a few yards away. While Sora was off running around, they were getting the hang of things. Even Kairi was walking a little better now.

Lightning tore her nose away from the ground, scoffing. Forget it. It's just the wolf instincts going off and being interested with different smells. She wasn't going to walk around with her nose to the ground and look like a fool. There was no need for any of them to become an animal to that extent. She started walking back in the direction of her friends, not sensing a dark creature that was hidden in the rubble she was still close to.
Riku started walking around in small circles, working on turning and such before he spotted Lightning not too far off. "Light," he barked. "You got it?" She seemed like she was walking alright, so he guessed so.

"Think so," Lightning replied, barking once and also nodding her head a little. She heard a noise behind her and she sharply turned her head, her pale blue eyes widening when a large Heartless-like creature lunged out of the rubble and right at her. She fell down onto her stomach and braced herself, a bark of alarm leaving her lips. Where did that thing come from?!

Riku's aqua eyes grew in alarm at the sight of the creature, but instincts kicked in when he saw it going for Lightning. He ran forward without any trouble and jumped, meeting the creature in the air as he tackled it to the ground. A snarl left his throat as he clamped his teeth down on the Heartless, shaking his head to hurt it more. But one of its claws came up and slashed at him, pushing him off. He whined at the pain and landed on his side as the Heartless rose to its feet, clawing at him once more. Riku snapped at its hand and managed to hurt it, causing it to back up a little.

Kairi's eyes widened at the sight before her, seeing Riku battling the Heartless. "Riku!" she barked without thought, seeing him get hurt. Oh no...

"Riku!" Lightning barked, eyes wide at him taking on the Heartless without a sword. "Use your Keyblade, idiot!" But of course, she just spoke the name because she was worried about him. He could hardly walk just a minute ago, and now he was fighting a Heartless. And he had done it to protect her, so if he got hurt, she would blame herself.
Riku scrambled to all four of his feet, growling at the creature when it stared at him, his back to the others. Keyblade, he thought in recognition. How did he summon it in this form?! Keyblade...Keyblade. He saw the Heartless lunge for him, and he tensed. Keyblade, Keyblade, Keyblade! He suddenly felt weight in his mouth, the trusty weapon appearing to help him fight. He jumped to the side and barely dodged the Heartless's attack, but he did swing at its side since he was so close. It was harder than he originally thought, but he couldn't just give up. He had to keep trying.

Lightning picked herself up off the ground, spinning around on her feet and glaring at the Heartless. She heard the low growl that left her mouth, her wolf instincts kicking in like they had a minute ago when they led her to the creature unknowingly. She barked and pushed off on her feet, tackling the Heartless when it avoided one of Riku's attacks.
Kairi took a step back out of fear, seeing both of her friends go in toward the Heartless. This wasn't going to end well; neither of them knew how to fight as wolves! Kairi leaned her head back and closed her eyes, releasing a long, high howl as she called Sora's name. They needed his help, quickly.

Lightning felt the Heartless's hand hit her, the creature stronger than she expected. It sent her flying and she hit the ruins of the building, a yelp leaving her when she hit the ground roughly after that. Her body was killing her! All because of that one hit!
Riku saw Lightning get hurt, and that was enough for him to snarl at the Heartless that was coming at him. He swung his head, slashing at the Heartless with his Keyblade. It managed to strike, thankfully, but that didn't mean he was good at this. Magic, he thought. He focused on the Heartless as it recovered and called to one of his spells, sending multiple fireballs at the enemy.

Sora sprinted to the scene after hearing Kairi's howl, the teen also hearing Lightning's loud yelp when he was closer. He ran with skill and saw the Heartless wide open for a physical attack after Riku used magic, and he took advantage of that, jumping off some rocks and swinging his Keyblade at the Heartless. It shrieked a little in pain, but he kept up on it, continuing to attack. He could handle the fight from here.
Riku's eyes widened when Sora stepped in, but that was enough for him to take the hint; he was done fighting for now. He backed off, summoning his Keyblade away. He turned his head and saw Lightning near some rubble, then running to her with ease. "Lightning," he whined once he was closer, slowing his pace until he was right next to her.

Lightning whimpered in pain, starting to carefully move so she could be on her stomach instead of her side. Her back and her side were what hurt, the Heartless having punched her side and her back having hit the hard rocks. She shut her eyes when she was on her stomach and put her head on the ground, her nose in the ground. Ouch.
Riku lowered his head, nudging his beloved's head with his nose. "Light, you okay?" he whined softly, his eyes resting on her as he nudged her a little more. She hadn't answered him before, so he took that as a bad sign. He wasn't at all happy about it.

Light kept her position, hearing the worry in Riku's silent voice and his whining. "Yeah," she managed. "That thing just hit harder than I thought it would." That, and these bodies were more susceptible to injury. Her spine was hurt, so now she would have a hard time walking and moving her head. That was just terrific.
Riku licked the side of Light's head once, knowing that it translated into a kiss. "Why'd you jump in?" he whined softly. "I had him." She didn't need to fight; he had his Keyblade and everything. He would have handled it until Sora showed up.
  • Author
"It was instinct," Light responded softly, feeling Riku lick her fur. "I couldn't help myself." Really, she jumped up before she had even thought about it. Like Sora said earlier, until they could seriously function in these bodies, instinct governed their actions. He wasn't kidding about that.
Riku didn't respond, lifting his head and turning his gaze to the Heartless that Sora was still fighting. Roxas and Kairi were wisely staying out of the way, but he had a feeling it would be defeated soon. Sora knew what he was doing, and really well.

Sora dealt a final blow to the Heartless, slashing through it with a strike in midair before he landed smoothly on his paws. He growled at the creature even after it vanished, his Keyblade staying in his mouth. But then he looked at Riku and Lightning, and he noticed quite obviously that Light was injured. He started over, wanting to know what he could do to help.
Riku spotted Sora coming over, and he barked, speaking. "Can you cast a Cure spell?" he asked. Lightning wasn't moving, so he was worried that she was seriously hurt. A spell would help settle his worries.

Sora sat down by Riku and Lightning, Keyblade still in his mouth as he nodded. "Let's hope that they work here," he responded, shifting his gaze to the female wolf on the ground. He shut his eyes and focused, though when he tried to cast it, something stopped him. His instincts told him that he had to focus on the injuries themselves and not just Lightning in general. He focused on her side and her back, and those wounded parts of her body glowed green for a second or two before the green faded away. That should do it.
Riku saw Light's body glow green, and he looked at her, waiting for her to express how she was feeling. He hoped the spell actually worked, because if it didn't, things would get complicated and they'd have to evade a lot of fights. Three out of the five were still learning how to fight, and Kairi was defenseless. They needed to make sure they were taking precautions, especially after this.

Sora summoned his Keyblade away, seeing Lightning carefully getting up onto her paws again. "Sorry. I should have sniffed out this area more carefully before I ran off." He left his friends to their first fight by themselves, and things could have turned out much worse than this if he hadn't returned in time. "This realm is a lot different than the Realm of Light; it takes a lot of work to find enemies. It seems like we'll be relying on pure instinct for a while." But of course, he would still lead everyone the best he could, since he had been an animal before. He would guide the group and give advice as he saw fit.
