Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Sora went out to the living room with Riku and Kairi, and he shared a brief summary of how he and Riku found the cure. Everyone was relieved at that, and that the cure was working so quickly to heal Namine. He thanked them for helping out their friend and guiding them to the cure, but he saw a few of them just shrug it off like it wasn't a big deal. They really aren't so different from people in the Realm of Light, are they? They're good people.

Jeremy smiled a little, nodding at the gratitude. "Now that your troubles are out of the way, I suspect you'll be going home," he said, his arms crossed over his chest. But...wasn't there one more person to their group? It was the soldier they were missing, wasn't it? "Through the Twilight Realm, right?"

Riku nodded. "Yeah, since the portal's always open. Besides, Lightning's there, so we can't exactly leave without her," he said. He hoped she was doing well. It'd been two days since he'd seen her last.

Grace's eyebrows furrowed upon hearing that, her eyes stuck on Riku before going to the other two. "...You left her there?" she asked cautiously. They couldn't have done that and known the consequences. They're clueless.

Timothy looked over the people in front of him, seeing their calm expressions. "You guys really don't know much about that realm, do you?" he asked carefully, looking over them still. They left Lightning there, by herself? And they were standing here calmly with them after she spent two days in that realm alone? They must not have known...

Kairi's eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly, her eyes darting over the teens gathered in the living room. "Why? Is there something wrong?" she asked softly. They were certainly acting strange.

Jeremy lowered his arms to his sides, his expression grave. "Did you guys read something about having a Light with you when you traveled through that realm?" he asked. Upon seeing Riku nod, he continued. "That's to keep the realm from corrupting your mind. It messes with your head without that Light around." He shook his head, running a hand through his dark hair. "You guys just set your friend up for brainwash."

"The Twilight corrupts a person's mind without that protection and makes them lose themselves," Mandy continued gravely, noticing Sora's wide eyes. "If it attacks you long enough, you become the creature that you turned into. So if you're a lion physically, you'll lose your mind and that's what you become. A mindless beast of the twilight." She had never been in that realm before, because she didn't know anyone with a strong enough Light to protect them. But she still did her research and knew all about the consequences of being in that realm.

Riku looked away from Mandy and to the floor, his eyebrows furrowing. That means Light.... She would be just like a wolf? "Oh no," he said, bringing a hand to his head. They had to get back to that realm right away. Who knew what Lightning went through the past few days?

"We gotta go," Sora said, glancing at Riku before he looked to the others sitting in the room. "Now." He couldn't believe they had been so stupid...If the books had said for them to have a Light with them, they should have figured there was a very important reason. They just found out that reason, but it may have already been too late for Lightning. Even if it was...they'd find a way to bring her back to them. She couldn't be a mindless beast.
Riku nodded and lowered his hand, looking to the others in the room. "Thanks for the help," he said, then turning around and leaving the room. He couldn't waste any time getting back to his beloved. She needed him.

Later

Namine heard a soft whine leave her as she laid on the ground, starting to come to consciousness. Since she had never been in this realm before--the Twilight Realm, it took a few minutes longer for her to start coming to. She was thankful, though, that everyone had taken the time to warn her about what would happen to her when she entered this realm. She peeked her sky blue eyes open and saw at least Sora within her vision, sniffing around the area to try and find Lightning's trail.

Riku tilted his head back and howled Lightning's name, hearing it echo throughout their surroundings. He would try the verbal route while Sora sniffed around, though he was impatient. She was right here the last time he left her, and now she wasn't. Of course, he didn't expect her to stay here for two days, but it made him nervous not to know where she was.

Roxas lowered his head, sniffing Namine as she came to. She would be alright and get the hang of walking soon enough. If it took too long, he would just tell the others to go on ahead. Lightning's safety was important too.

Namine felt something touching her, and she turned her neck to see a golden wolf gently sniffing her. "Roxas?" she yapped, finding this to be completely bizarre. She just spoke, but it hadn't come across audibly at all. He did hear her, right? She looked to his face and recognized the bright blue eyes she loved, the symbol on his head also helping her identify him. She hadn't looked over her own body much, but she was a paler gold than Roxas, a cross between that and white. And on her forehead, there was a flower symbol, reflecting her peaceful nature.
Roxas nodded, his eyes on Namine's pale blue. "You okay?" he whined softly, looking down at her. He hoped the transition wasn't painful for her, but he suspected her to be a little weary when it came to this. It wasn't exactly easy at first, learning to walk.

"Yeah, I think so," Namine said, glancing down at her position. She carefully started to move her legs and tried standing up, though she fell down on her stomach with a small whine. Come on, we don't have time for this. We need to find Lightning! She knew this would be difficult at first, because they told her it was, but she still didn't like wasting time like this.

Kairi was currently standing on all four feet, her head lowered to the ground as she too tried to catch onto Lightning's scent. She heard Riku's howl again, which made her feel awful. He was so worried for her. Kairi lifted her head, watching his movements. He was getting impatient.

Riku's howl ended, and he then took a few steps forward, his aqua eyes darting every which way. "Light!" he barked. "Where are you?!" Please don't let her be hurt, he begged internally. He didn't doubt what the Keybladers said before, but he still didn't want to believe what they said. She couldn't really be acting like a wolf, could she?

Sora glanced up at the sky when he heard a soft rumble of thunder, and he then felt a drop of water land on his nose. Rain? Great, that's just what we need. The rain would weaken Lightning's scent, so they had to hurry up and get going. If he could just catch onto-- "Hey!" he suddenly barked. "I found it!" He found Light's scent!

Riku's eyes darted to Sora instantly. "Where?!" he called over a boom of thunder. He squinted through the light rain, but that was the least of his concerns. Where was Lightning?

Sora kept his nose to the ground and started forward at a quick walk, still smelling Lightning's scent. "It's going straight this way for now," he said, feeling the rain start to get heavier. They had to hurry and follow this path while it was still here, or else they had no way to track Lightning down. He didn't know where she could have gone, but he hoped that she was alright.

Kairi saw Sora and Riku starting to go, but she looked back at Roxas and Namine. She didn't want to leave them behind, so maybe she would just stay with them.

"Go on ahead," Roxas barked, squinting through the rain. "We'll catch up!" He saw Kairi nod and run to catch up with Sora and Riku, but he stayed with Namine. He nudged her underbelly since she was standing up a little, trying to help. She would get this.

Sora kept sniffing and walking at a fast pace, sensing Kairi coming and Riku close by his side. For now, he chose to let his instincts overrun his normal thoughts, the process easier when he was sniffing without thinking. It was pretty straightforward right now, which way Lightning went. But she probably changed her course somewhere along the line, and he hoped he would be able to sniff that out when the time came. The rain would be a definite hindrance.
Riku walked beside Sora, though his eyes were searching the trees and the path ahead for his beloved. "Lightning!" he howled over the rain, a small whimper of worry escaping him when he was finished. Where could she be?

Sora kept following his path, which eventually turned sharply. He heard Riku's mournful howls, and that only encouraged him to keep following this lead while he could. He had to slow down, though, because he was losing the scent. It was pouring rain now, and if none of them had fur, they probably would have been freezing. Even with fur, he was feeling some of the coldness. But of course, it wasn't enough to affect him. He had a job to do.
Kairi walked behind the two boys, her eyes leaving Sora when Riku howled again. It was one of sadness and worry, which hurt even her. He was so scared for Lightning's safety, and Kairi realized more than ever how much he loved her. Please let us find her, she prayed.

Sora stopped walking, sniffing the area frantically. But..."Riku, I lost it," he said with a whimper. The scent was no longer strong enough that he could follow it, all because of the rain washing the smell away. They would have to discover another way to find Lightning, because smelling her out wasn't going to work anymore.
Riku turned his head to look at his best friend, but then he looked down at the ground. No... He shook his head, some water leaving his wet fur. He then started forward in a run, following the path that was ahead of them. He wasn't about to give up.

Lightning shifted on her weary feet, just inside a cave to keep herself hidden from the rain. It hardly mattered, though, since she was already soaked. She howled, not only because of the cold, but out of loneliness. It had been over two days since she was last with the group, and she felt stranded out here by herself. She was starting to find herself doing things for no reason, like attacking enemies when she logically should have avoided fights. She was fiercer and more...wolf like, and she didn't know why. She laid down on the ground, curled up so her wounded back leg was close to her muzzle. She started licking it, hearing thunder outside. She didn't like this.
