Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku had been running for a minute or so, and he thought he heard a noise. A howl, more specifically. He stopped and looked around, his ears rotating each and every way. Lightning? He started running again, barking as loud as he could. "Light! Light, where are you!?" She had to be here somewhere...

Lightning stopped licking her wound, hearing barking outside along with a voice, calling out to her. It can't be...He wouldn't be searching for me that frantically. He's always calm, cool, and collected. Regardless, she did let out another bark before she went back to licking her wound, her eyes on that. Somewhere along the way, her mind changed so she didn't even think about magic. It hardly made a difference to her at this moment anyway, since she couldn't use magic without a weapon. Fighting with a weapon...being human at all...it was starting to seem like a dream. A realistic one, granted, but only a dream.
Riku's ears picked up the sound over the pouring rain, the boy-turned-wolf running toward a place full of rocks and cliffs. He howled again, mostly to let his friends know he was onto something. His aqua eyes focused on a cave up ahead, and the first thing he thought was that Lightning would be inside. If not, he would fight whatever was.

Light whined and lowered her head, eyes shutting as she was curled up on the ground. She heard the howl of another wolf, but she figured it was just another creature of the Twilight Realm. And if it was, she definitely wanted to avoid it, because the other creatures she saw like Heartless and those screaming monsters were only concerned with killing. But then again, that was all she was worried about too in a lot of ways. She would kill anything that got into her way, or anything she perceived to be in the way. That was her mentality now.
Riku ran toward the cave entrance, escaping the rain as soon as he was inside. He shook his fur coat in an attempt to dry off, though he barked once he was done. "Light?" he called. Thanks to his sharper vision, he thought he could see her. But his eyes may have been deceiving him.

Light just heard the bark instead of the call, and she realized by the echo that it was inside the cave with her. She immediately uncurled from her ball and got onto her feet, facing the wolf who just entered her safe-haven. She didn't recognize him at first, both because of the lighting and because the wolf in her was starting to affect her mind. She growled defensively and took a small step forward, her eyes a grayish blue and the symbol on her forehead faded partly. She was losing her identity.
Riku's eyes adjusted to the darkness of the cave easily, the boy taking a few steps forward when he realized that she was with him. "It is you," he said with relief, a happy yap leaving him. "Thank goodness you're okay." He was so worried she had gotten hurt, unless she was and he just couldn't see it yet.

Lightning heard Riku's voice despite her growling, and then when he was a few steps closer, she recognized his form. "R-Riku?" she said, her growling ceasing when she realized that her boyfriend was back with her. He finally returned to this realm, after all that time of being away. A lot had changed in the past few days in her mind. And it wasn't a good thing in the slightest.
"Yeah," Riku barked in confirmation, nodding as he walked closer. Lightning looked surprised to see him, and he didn't really blame her. He had been gone longer than he expected to be, which he felt awful for.

Light turned away when Riku came close, but not because she was angry at him. "Don't...come any closer," she said softly, a low growl leaving her lips. "I'm not myself." Despite her lack of knowledge about the Twilight Realm, the soldier was wise enough to know that she wasn't the same person Riku left here two days ago. That change was reflected in her eyes and on her forehead, which Riku wouldn't see now because she was facing the other direction.
Riku took another step forward, a small whine leaving him at the words. "I figured as much...but you're going to be okay," he said. "As soon as you leave this realm, you'll be alright. Let's go home." He would stay with her until she was herself again. Her health was important to him.

"You figured as much?" Lightning repeated, sitting down on the ground because of her injured back leg. She kept her face away from Riku, her gaze on what she could see of the cave. Riku's words concerned her far more than anything else, though. He knew that she wouldn't be herself when he found her? What was that supposed to mean?
"While we were separated, I was told what happened to someone who was left in this realm alone," Riku said, making his way closer to Lightning still. "That's why we came back as soon as we could. We wanted to make sure you were alright." But...something seemed off. Lightning was acting different, which Riku took as a bad sign.

Light heard Riku's soft steps coming towards her, and that ticked her off. She told him to stay away from her. "What if I'm not alright?" she snapped with a bark, briefly turning her head to look at Riku before she faced the direction she had been facing before. She heard the low growl that must have left her own mouth after she barked, the soft noise sounding a little louder because they were in a cave.
Riku's eyes widened at the snarl, his gaze still resting on Lightning as he finally stopped walking. "...Then we'll fix it," he replied. It wasn't like they were just going to leave her here to suffer. They would take her back home and help her get better.
  • Author
Claire didn't respond, the soft growling still escaping her mouth. She wanted to ask how, but she had a feeling Riku didn't know how to fix this. She was turning into a wolf...That made a lot of sense to her now, considering the last few days. Her instincts led her into a lot of pointless battles and got her injured. Obviously in this world, the lone wolf wasn't meant to survive. Teamwork was required in almost every battle in this realm, and that was a lesson she learned the hard way.
Riku's eyes narrowed at the low growl that still sounded around the cave. "Light...I understand that you're mad, but..." He trailed off, not knowing what to say. He was sorry, really sorry. But she didn't have to stay here and be like this. They could go back to the Realm of Light and talk, face-to-face.

Light shut her eyes, finally realizing what was ticking her off enough to make her keep growling. "I'm not mad," she said, though her low growl continued. "There's a Light close by that's irritating me." It was Kairi, who was standing by Sora's side just inside the cave. They had heard Riku's howls a minute or two ago and come to see if she was alright as well. But she wasn't, not if the Light was making her act like this.

A Light? Riku turned his head, glancing over his shoulder to see his friends. That Light was Kairi...but why was it making Lightning upset? Was it the realm?

Kairi caught Riku looking at her, and she was a little confused. Why was he looking at her that way? "...Riku?" she barked softly, the sound echoing inside the cave. What was wrong?

Sora caught the way that Riku was looking over at them, and he figured they must have been intruding on a private conversation. "Do you two, uh, need a moment?" he asked Riku with a bark, referring to him and Lightning. If that was the case, he and Kairi could go stand in the downpour for a little while. It wasn't that big of a deal since they had warm coats.
Riku glanced back at Lightning before his eyes found his friends again. "Yeah," he said with a small nod. Kairi needed to get away from the cave so Lightning could at least talk to him. The realm really has messed with her head...

Lightning sensed the Light lingering by the mouth of the cave, probably hesitant. But she couldn't deal with hesitation. "Get her away, Riku," she ordered with a snarl, then barking along with the next command she gave. "Now." She felt the urge to attack Kairi to extinguish the Light that was irritating her, but she knew that she didn't want to attack the girl she considered to be a friend. She was restraining herself so she wouldn't do something idiotic like that.

"Kairi, go," Riku ordered without hesitation, hearing how angry Lightning was. Not only was she angry, but dangerous as well. He couldn't have his sister getting hurt by her, even if it wasn't intentional and Light wasn't herself.

Kairi turned around without a word, her eyes narrowing when she was out in the downpour. Lightning...she was really upset. And because of me?

Lightning finally felt Kairi walk away, and the tension that entered her body left her. She whined in relief and laid down, curling up a little and feeling her nose touch her back leg. That was a close call. She wasn't very good at restraining herself when she was like this, but she had done just that for Kairi's sake. She didn't know if she'd have the strength to do that next time Kairi got too close.
Riku saw Sora go with Kairi, relieved to see that she wasn't acting stubborn right now. If she was, things could have turned ugly. He let his eyes find Lightning again, and upon seeing her position, he started forward. He stopped next to her and lowered his head to sniff her own, a whine leaving his lips. She wasn't okay, and he felt awful for it.
