A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Kairi yapped softly in happiness, though it was also in amusement to feeling Sora's tail lightly hit her everytime it wagged. She squinted one eye closed when his head rubbed against her own, the girl already aware of how much he loved her. And she loved him the same, if not more. That love would only continue to grow once they got married.

Namine glanced away from Sora and Kairi to the fire, though her wolf lips were turned up in a small smile as her head rested on the ground. Those two are so adorable. They were showing affection to each other like there was no tomorrow, even though Namine knew none of them believed their end was coming anytime soon. They just loved each other enough to show affection every chance they got, much like Roxas and Namine.

Roxas rested beside Namine, though his attention wasn't on Sora and Kairi like hers had previously been. His blue eyes were locked on her, and he smiled ever so slightly. "You know something," he said softly, tilting his head. "You're really cute like this." Of course, she was cute any way she was, whether she was a wolf or a human. He remembered thinking how adorable she was in the past when he found her waking up next to him. So cute.

Namine turned her head to the side and looked at Roxas, the firelight dancing in her soft blue eyes. "Yeah, well, you're pretty adorable yourself," she responded, nudging Roxas with her nose. She always did love dogs, and he was certainly cuter than any pet she ever had. She was almost sad she would never see him like this again.

Roxas chuckled a little, though the laughter came out as raspy breaths. He thought this would be weird at first, being a wolf, but it was actually seeming a little...normal. He gave Namine a small kiss by touching his nose to hers, his eyes resting on her pale blue. She really was cute.

Namine withdrew her nose from Roxas's just enough that she could lick his nose. She performed the action with some shyness, her shyness coming through in her body language once she was done giving her kiss. This whole wolf thing was still a little weird to her, but...she liked it, in a strange sort of way.

Roxas could tell Namine was feeling shy, but there was really no need to. He leaned forward with a low hum, rubbing his head against hers, his fur touching her paler gold. Her hair was still soft, just like it was when she was human. But...Namine was always soft, and gentle. Those were just a few things he loved about her.

Namine whined when Roxas nuzzled her head, her eyes shutting as her head carefully lowered to sit on the ground. She had missed him so much when he wasn't with her, when she was first trapped in the Realm of Darkness. He always came through for her, no matter what the circumstances were. She loved how determined and strong he was, and because of those traits, she sometimes wondered why or if she deserved him. What made her so special?

When Namine lowered her head, Roxas licked the fur on top of it once before resting his head atop hers. He would love to show her more affection, but it was time they got some rest. They had a big day ahead of them, making it back to the Realm of Light. They would need the energy.

"Goodnight," Namine said softly, her eyes on the fire when she felt Roxas's head gently on top of hers. She could tell that he was thinking about them getting rest, and she had to admit, she was tired too. Being a wolf wasn't easy, especially when she had to learn how to walk and run on four paws.

"Goodnight," Roxas responded softly, looking over briefly to see that Sora and Kairi were resting too. It was time they got some sleep for the next big day, when they could finally go home and enjoy some peace.

The next day

 

Lightning walked beside Riku, the whole group traveling together as one. When she woke up that morning, her eyes had returned to their normal color. She may not have had a Light close by to help her regain her true self, but Riku's presence clearly helped. Now she could only hope that she would return completely to normal once she reached the Realm of Light. For now, though, she was just thankful she was herself enough that she didn't feel much desire to attack Kairi or Namine. It was safe for all of them to be together.

Kairi felt relief wash over her as she walked beside Sora, seeing the portal that would take them back home up ahead. "That's it," she said, her eyes lighting up. She could finally go home, her real home. Destiny Islands. And there she could be with her friends and family, though the two were really combined to form one. Her friends were her family, and soon, her fiance would be one of the truest parts of her family.

Sora heard Namine bark in happiness, and he howled with the same emotion. He laughed afterward, tempted to run straight through the portal and leave this place. But of course, he would stick with the group, because they traveled together here. Anything could happen, after all, so it was best they were unified. Still...His heart told him that nothing bad would happen to them while they were still in this realm. They were home free.

Riku heard Roxas's laughter a few feet ahead, but he turned his aqua eyes to the woman he loved. "You ready?" he asked her with a small yap. She would finally be leaving this realm, and there would be no need to come back. They could be together, as their true selves.

Lightning looked over to Riku, nodding her head faintly. "Yeah. Ready." She was ready for her head to stop feeling so funky, and to return to a place where she felt more like herself. Being a wolf was fun at first, but she definitely preferred being a human. That was a life she was ready to go back to, even if things were far from perfect in that life. But it was okay; she was ready for the storm.

Kairi was elated at the sight of the portal, and because of that, she ran a few steps forward before turning around and crouching in a playful way, her eyes on her fiance. "Race you!" she called, challenging him. She knew that even if she was ahead by a few yards that he would catch up; Ven granted him even more speed. But that was alright. It meant she and Sora would be going through the portal together.

Sora laughed, pushing off at a sprint. He caught up to Kairi way before they reached the portal and slowed his pace so he was right by her, barking when he was next to her and clearly not pushing himself. "Really, Kai?" There was no way that she could beat him in a race, ever. But he wasn't about to beat her right now, because he was still protective of her. They were going through the portal together.

 

"Roxas!" Namine yapped playfully, taking off towards the portal much like Kairi had. She would race him there as well, though she was sure that he would catch up to her like Sora did with Kairi. It hardly mattered though, since she was just being a goofball. She had reason to be silly and happy.

Kairi barked in confirmation. "Yup!" she said happily, looking from the man she loved to the portal. They were right in front of it, and they ran through at the same time. Together. That was the way it would always be.

 

Roxas laughed wholeheartedly, pushing off with his feet and racing after Namine. He caught up to her easily as they approached the portal. "See you on the other side!" he barked happily. He could really hold her in his arms again when they were back, and see the true beauty that she was.

Lightning heard Namine bark back to Roxas as she and Riku kept their calmer pace, just walking to approach the portal. She was thankful she didn't feel pain like she half expected, since the Light wasn't quite comfortable for her right now. But she was going home, where she belonged. Her realm couldn't possibly reject her. She went through the portal next to Riku, consciousness leaving her as they entered their own realm to continue their lives together.

The Realm of Light

 

Riku woke up in a matter of minutes after walking through the portal alongside his beloved, the boy pushing himself up from the ground. He heard Kairi's laughter, seeing her twirling in the obvious fresh air the Realm of Light graced them with. He smiled slightly, seeing Roxas helping Namine up as well. Everything was back to normal, which was how he hoped it would be. Everything was going to go up from here.

Lightning felt the gentle air of the Realm of Light against her body, the weightlessness of it making her feel relaxed. She smiled faintly and opened her eyes, looking down at her hands as she prepared to push herself upright. But she didn't see her hands; she saw paws. An alarmed bark left her lips, her eyes wide. I'm...I'm still a wolf?! But how is that possible?!

Roxas heard the bark and looked away from the blonde he loved to the only person who hadn't gotten up from the ground. Or, the only wolf who hadn't gotten up. His smile vanished from his face, his happiness turning into worry as he saw Riku have the same reaction. Lightning hadn't changed back into a human after walking through...

 

Riku's eyes softened in worry and sadness, though they also widened at what he saw before him. Who he saw. "Light," he said, walking over to her quickly. He knelt down and looked at her form, seeing that she was still a wolf. But...why? The portal should have changed her back!

Lightning pushed herself up so she was sitting, the wolf closer to Riku's height when he knelt by her. She kept her alarmed pale blue eyes on his, not bothering to try and speak to him. He wouldn't be able to understand her. At least her eyes seemed to express enough for her to communicate. Why am I still a wolf? Why aren't I myself...? This was completely shocking, since she hadn't seen this coming at all.

"Lightning," Riku said, his worried eyes darting all over her face as he lifted a hand to sit against her head. He didn't know what else to say. He didn't even know what to do, which made him upset. She was still a wolf, and the only reason he could think up was because of how long she stayed in the Twilight Realm. They had gotten the news too late to stop this, didn't they?
