Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Sora looked away from Kairi after a few moments, his eyes on the sand. He really couldn't say anything else here; it was Kairi's call on where they would go now. She was the one who ended it, after all.
Kairi lowered her eyes to the necklace around Sora's neck whenever he looked away. Those questions couldn't be answered right now, she guessed. They just became friends again, let alone talked within the past week or two. Now...something else had to be resolved. "...Riku probably wants to see you."

Sora looked up at Kairi, a little surprised that she changed the subject. But he wouldn't argue against it. Should I approach him? he thought, the words transferring through his heart without permission. I haven't spoken to him at all lately...
Kairi's eyes lifted to Sora in silence when she heard what she probably shouldn't have, but she replied anyway. "Go to the island," she said with a very faint smile. "I'll tell him you're waiting." It was the least she could do. Plus, Riku was probably still in town; she would go back and get him.

It took Sora a moment, but then he realized what just happened. He smiled weakly and nodded. Alright; he would go to the island. That would be the easy part of this whole process.
Kairi's smile grew ever so slightly and she nodded as well. Linking her hands behind her back, she looked at the blue eyes she loved one last time. "See you soon," she said softly, implying any time really. She then turned around, heading back the way she had originally come, going to get the last of the trio that had to make amends.

Sora watched Kairi go for a few moments, but then he turned and started walking towards the dock. All of the boats were in, so the island was empty. He was actually glad for that; it meant he wouldn't run into anybody on the way.
It didn't take Riku long to get Kairi's message, the boy already nearing the play island. He'd sat alone just outside the town square, needing the time to himself to think over everything that had happened to his best friend. It was awful, really, and it was hard for him to accept that his friend wasn't a Keyblade wielder anymore. Regardless, he went to the island, knowing that things needed to be discussed.

A little while later, Sora sat on the islet by the play island, leaning against the base of the tree. He had been there a little while, and so he had his eyes shut and head lowered because he was tired. He hadn't slept well, but he knew he had to be awake for when Riku came.
Riku jumped onto the dock, making sure his boat was secure before leaping onto the beach below. He started over toward the shack, glancing at the islet as he did. He thought he saw a head of spiky hair, but he knew he would find out as soon as he was on the bridge.

Sora folded his arms over his chest, exhaling a soft breath through his nose as he listened to the sound of the ocean. It was so comforting, being back in his home. And even if things were far from alright, he could at least pretend it was for now.
Riku pulled himself up onto the roof of the shack and then started across the bridge. As he got closer, he knew that the head of spiky hair he'd thought he'd seen was actually there. He came to a stop at the end of the bridge, just looking at his friend. "Sora."

Sora hummed automatically, opening his eyes and lifting his head when he heard a voice. He turned and looked over his shoulder, seeing Riku by the end of the bridge. He uncrossed his arms, waving slightly to Riku.
Riku met his friend's eyes, and he nodded to him in greeting as he descended the small ramp onto the islet. He approached Sora, stopping when he was by him. "How've you been?" he asked, not stalling in conversation. There was no time for that really.

Sora should have expected Riku to be bold, but instead, he felt unprepared. "Uh, fine," he lied automatically, though it was probably pretty clear that he wasn't being truthful. Riku obviously knew what happened; Kairi had said both she and Riku were up to speed.
Riku nodded. "That's not quite the answer I expected," he admitted, despite his small gesture. Sora just lost the Keyblade; Riku didn't expect him to be "fine", at any cost.

"...Probably because we both know it's not true," Sora said with a faint nod in return. It seemed pretty obvious to him that he wasn't alright, and he could tell Riku was probably thinking the same thing. But he wasn't expected to be okay right now.
Riku hummed slightly with a nod, understanding that. After all, he'd gone through a lot. They all had. Nobody was supposed to be alright after everything.

"Kairi said you guys were okay now," Sora said then, referring to the nightmares. They were over, and Kairi no longer saw him as Vanitas. And he was so glad about that; he could only imagine how awful that had been for her.
"We were," Riku replied, "until we found out what happened to you." He wasn't going to hold much back; he'd done that enough this past week. Ignoring Sora wasn't his best idea, for obvious reasons.

Sora looked away when Riku brought up the subject, and he scratched the side of his head without thought. Yeah...What happened to him wasn't good at all. He lost the Keyblade...As badly as he wanted to believe it was just a nightmare, he knew that it wasn't.
"I'm sure Kairi's already told you, but don't blame yourself. This is our fault," Riku confessed regretfully. He hated this, and he was sure that showed by the way he wouldn't look at Sora now. He made his best friend lose his power...it was terrible, and he was mad at himself for being so stupid.
  • Author
Sora didn't know what to say to that, so he didn't bother saying anything. Had Kairi told Riku any part of their conversation? Did he know that Sora wasn't angry with him.
"And you know what?" Riku continued after a second, recalling on what he had been informed. "I can't believe that your Keyblade rejected you. Even when your friends weren't there for you and they were the reason why it's gone, you're not mad. That shows true strength and friendship in my opinion."
  • Author
Sora shrugged slightly, his gaze down on the ground. "I wasn't going to let him torture you guys," he said softly. That would have been heartless of him, even if his friends had been treating him badly lately. He believed that was the first time they really ignored him, and it hurt deeply.
