Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

"...What're you thinking about?" Riku asked, his voice soft in the peaceful air as he kept his gaze ahead. He could tell Lightning was thinking about something, and he was too, but his was probably different than hers; he was thinking of how happy he was to watch the sunset with her again. It'd been too long since they did that on these shores.

Light shut her eyes briefly, thinking that she was always asked that question whenever she was in really deep thought. But she would answer it anyway. "I was just thinking about how it seems like everything's come tumbling down lately, but I'm still ready to face whatever's next," she said softly, opening her eyes and looking back at the sunset. She wasn't about to give up, even if she had no idea what to expect for her life now that the Corps was probably gone.
"Mm," Riku hummed, nodding slightly as he kept his posture. "You're strong. You'll make it." He knew she would, and even if she couldn't, she had his support behind her. He would help any way he could if things got too tough.

"Yeah. I know." Light glanced from Riku to the sunset, her hands on the tree on either side of her. Impossible isn't a word; it's just an excuse not to try. I'll always try. I'll always fight. The capability to give up wasn't in her, not after everything she had experienced in her life. She did have weak moments where she wanted to quit, but she didn't. She kept fighting and made it to today.
Riku smiled a little, closing his eyes. Right, he thought at her words. Lightning knew a lot, since she was intelligent in many areas and quite clever. He saw it himself, every day. Well, every day that he was with her, anyway. He guessed that was the next problem: figuring out how they were going to do this. Their relationship. He loved her, he knew he did, and he knew she loved him. They just had to figure out how they were going to see each other.

Light looked down at Riku, lifting her hand and letting her hand sit on the top of his head. She started playing with it lightly, her eyes following the motion of her fingers. I know I'm strong enough to face it when I have you to fall into. She loved Riku more than she thought she was capable of loving, and now, she believed it was impossible for her not to love him.
Riku's small smile grew ever so slightly at the touch, though his eyes remained closed. He liked this, relaxing with Light by his side. For a while, he just wanted peace. No action, no Darkness. Just Light, the person and the element. That would be nice.

Light leaned over a little and saw Riku's calm expression, and that expression reminded her of the one he wore when he slept in his pod. She was glad that she could give him that kind of a peace, if this was even her doing. He could have just been happy to be home after everything that happened lately. Whatever the case, she was just glad he was happy. That was all that really mattered.
Riku hummed softly, sensing Lightning's gaze on him. "You like what you see?" he asked, keeping his eyes closed. He took in the feeling of her hand being in his hair, loving it. It was the smallest sign of affection, but it was more than enough.

Light felt herself smile. "Of course. How can I not, with your stunning good looks?" she teased, ruffling Riku's hair a little. He always did joke around about him being such a looker, but he was definitely attractive in her eyes. He was strong, tall, and handsome. And those were his outside features; there was so much more she could say about his heart.
Riku's smile grew as he opened his eyes, turning his head. He looked up at Lightning and uncrossed his arms, though he didn't bother fixing his hair. "Oh, you think so?" he prodded, turning more to face Light. He would take any compliment he could get, but the ones from her he always cherished.

"Nah. I was just kidding," Lightning said with a smirk, joking. She set her hand in her lap when Riku turned his head and looked at her, his expression thirsty for more praise. But she had to keep his ego down, since he had an issue with pride just like she did. Then again, though, Riku had the right to be proud. He was incredible.
Riku shrugged, his smile fading into a faint smirk. "Too bad," he said. "You nearly had me excited." He was hardly ever excited, about anything. Maybe on the inside, but he never expressed it. He was always calm and collected Riku.
  • Author
"You? Excited over one silly comment?" Light asked with an arched brow. "I didn't know it was that easy to excite you." She and Riku were alike in a lot of ways, and one of those ways included their calm personalities. They were calm most of the time, and when they weren't, they were angry. Both of them had issues with their tempers.
Riku moved over so he was standing in front of Light, his hands resting on the tree trunk on either side of her. "Don't you remember?" he asked, his smirk still in tact. "I'm mysterious." She'd told him as much when they were together, back in Cocoon. It had been a little while ago, but he remembered.

"Hmph," Light hummed with a smirk. "I'm unraveling the mystery of Riku, though, don't you think?" She was getting closer to him, and she felt like she really knew who he was as a person rather than who he appeared to be on the outside. It took a lot of work, but she was discovering what Riku's heart was like. And every time she caught another glimpse of it, she fell deeper in love with him.
Riku's smirk remained, the boy humming as he nodded. Yeah, Lightning was getting there. Of course, she already had his heart; that was an achievement alone, at least in his eyes. He was hard to get close to, since he had trust issues since Xehanort. He could definitely trust Light, though. He always would.

Lightning lifted her hand and ruffled Riku's hair again, her hand sitting there once the action was done. She shifted her gaze to the sunset behind Riku, wondering how he was managing with unraveling the mystery he had set before him--the mystery known as Lightning. She wondered just how well he thought he knew her. She knew he trusted her completely, despite what Zant threw at them when they were in the Twilight Realm, about her lusting for the Keyblade. Riku probably forgot about that by now.
Even if Lightning looked away, Riku's aqua eyes stayed on her. She really was beautiful, and strong. Determination was always set in those pale blue eyes of hers, but there was also a wall around her. She hardly ever let someone see through her, but he managed to find his way. He saw the gentle Lightning, the softer side of her. He saw her heart, and with her approval, he got to keep it. He had her heart just as she had his. Riku loved her, with all he had.

"What're you thinking?" Light asked softly after a few moments, taking her hand off the top of Riku's head and looking down at him. She felt his gaze on her, and she wasn't sure if he was studying her or if he was just deep in thought. Either way, she supposed that she was about to find out what was going on in that head of his. He didn't often lie to her about his thoughts, and she appreciated that.
Riku's eyes locked onto Light's pale blue, his gaze on her for a moment before he spoke. "I'm thinking about how lucky I am," he said softly, completely serious. He really was lucky to have someone so extraordinary in his life. It was amazing.

"Lucky?" Light repeated softly, not sure what Riku was talking about. She figured that it was life in general, so... "You've worked hard for everything you have. There's no luck involved." He had the Islands fixed up, his friends, family, and strength because of his hard work and decisions every day. His fate was something that he controlled completely.
Riku shook his head a little, his smile gone. "That's not what I meant," he said, keeping his spot on the ground below Lightning. "...I'm talking about how lucky I am that I have you." She walked into his life one day, when he never expected to find someone so great and lovable. And it was something he didn't expect, especially when he thought about how awful things had been between them at first. But...things turned around after a while, and he hoped they didn't do a one-eighty any time soon. Of course, Riku doubted he could ever fall out of love with Lightning. She was too amazing.

Lightning felt the urge to blush at what Riku said, though she made a joke instead of focusing on those shy feelings. "Guess you figured soldiers wouldn't have time for a kid like you, right?" she asked, though she was only joking. Riku sometimes referred to himself as a kid to her, but he wasn't that at all. He was a man, a true man who was honorable, noble, and brave. If anything she was the one who was lucky. She had his heart.
Riku smirked a little, lifting one of his hands from the trunk to sit on Lightning's side. "Maybe," he said, already knowing that she was saying that because she was feeling uncomfortable. It was alright, though, since he understood. Of course, it was more than what she said. He really did feel lucky she was in his life. He hadn't asked for her, nor had he expected her. She was a blessing.
