A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Light smiled softly, nodding. "Glad to hear it," she said quietly, squeezing his shoulder. She had been hoping that he would want to stay the night with her, so he just granted her wish. Well, one of them. She actually had a lot of hopes and wishes for the future, but she never made them known. If they became public and didn't work out, it would be more disappointing.

Riku motioned behind him with his head, to the bed. "C'mon," he encouraged her gently. Lightning could get into bed; he still needed to take off his shirt and shoes.

Light nodded faintly in recognition, sliding her hand out from underneath Riku's. Since he was on the edge of the bed, she walked over to the opposite side and laid down on her back, looking from the ceiling to Riku in silence. Now that she was laying down, she was feeling exhausted again. When she was up and moving around, she always found more energy, but now she knew it was time to crash.

Riku took off his top vest, dropping it on the floor next to his feet before he unzipped the one underneath. He slipped that off as well and put it in the same place as the other one, then bending down to take off his sneakers. He could feel Lightning's gaze on his back, and he smiled to himself at the feeling. He was familiar with it, but it would never get old.

Light eventually shifted her gaze away from Riku, her hand finding her stomach as she looked up at the ceiling. She was glad Riku was staying. She was surprised at how often she felt safe in his arms, but tonight, she didn't feel like she needed that protection. She just needed Riku, because he offered her more than just protection in her few weak moments. He offered care and love, two things she never thought she would ever need or want.

Once Riku got his shoes off, he lay down beside Lightning on the bed. He looked at her, just because he could. He was glad she was human again, no matter how cute she was as a canine. She was better this way, because then he could truly have her. She was his, and he hoped for a long time.

Light rolled over onto her side, her hair still damp from the shower as she looked past her bangs to Riku. "Never get tired of staring, do you?" she mused softly. Often times, he would just stare at people, though he did it more with her than with anyone else. He was always observing something when he stared, and she wondered what he was observing just now, but she didn't bother asking. It wasn't that important right now.

"Not when I look at you," Riku said with a faint smile. He usually stared to make observations, to notice anything out of the ordinary with people or places, even things. But with Light...he gazed. He could never truly keep his eyes off of her for long. He was too attracted to her to do that.

"Hmph," Light hummed with a weak smirk. She should have expected an answer like that. She lifted one of her arms and used it to lift her head off the pillow a little, her gaze lingering on Riku. She didn't get tired of staring at him, either, because she liked seeing him with her. It reminded her she really didn't have to try everything on her own anymore. She could depend on him.

Riku kept his eyes on the pale blue in front of him, wondering if this was how it was always going to be. The both of them in the same bed at night, together all night and when they woke up in the morning. He would like it that way, though he would rather there be no long distances involved. Just him and Light, together. That would be okay with him.

Lightning felt herself start blushing at the intensity behind Riku's stare, even if it was a gentle, loving stare. That was what got her--the love behind it. She never thought anybody would ever look at her that way. Heck, she didn't want anybody to look at her that way. She was afraid they wouldn't be able to because of her cold exterior, but Riku was different. He understood what it meant to have a cold exterior but have a more compassionate heart. He was the exact same way.

Riku's smile grew ever so slightly, the boy lifting a hand to Lightning's pink cheek. "It's rare that you blush," he said softly, his voice gentle in the quiet room. He ran his thumb over her cheek, at the same time brushing some of her hair away. The last time he really saw her blush was at Serah's wedding.

Light glanced away from Riku's eyes, feeling his thumb rub against her cheek. She only hummed in agreement to what he said, continuing her thought process. Riku's love made her blush because it was so intense, and she thought it was good to have somebody love her so much, but...What if Zant was right in what he said, about her eventually betraying the Keybladers for her own gain? She couldn't see herself doing it at this time, but she supposed anything was possible for the future. And if her heart did change...Riku would be so blinded by his love that he wouldn't see her betrayal coming.

Riku continued to run his thumb over Lightning's skin, just gazing at her like he usually did. It was just natural; she wasn't exactly someone a person could just ignore. She had this energy around her, an energy that just drew him in. It was hard to fight, and eventually, he didn't anymore. That was what brought him here today, to her, and to love.

He's still staring, and if you keep thinking about this, he's going to see through your mask. Light sighed softly, gently moving herself closer to Riku and lowering herself on the bed just a tad. She wrapped an arm over his side as her damp head lowered by his chest, her eyes shut and face out of his view more than it had been before. He couldn't know she was worrying about this.

Riku's small smile faded slightly at the movement, though he wasn't uncomfortable with it. He let his arms go over Lightning, his hand resting on the back of her damp hair. He closed his eyes now that the person he wanted to stare at was so close, a soft breath leaving him. This is nice...

Lightning started running her fingers over Riku's bare back, the movement drowsy like she was. She was ready to fall asleep, but she wanted to stay awake and savor being in Riku's hold. His embrace always made her negative thoughts go away, and she was hoping that would be the case tonight. She couldn't keep thinking so negatively.

Riku hummed, feeling himself getting more tired as the minutes went on. Lightning's gesture only acted as encouragement to fall asleep. "G'night, Light," he murmured softly. He would fall asleep soon, and he at least wanted to say that. And... "Love you."

"Love you too," Light murmured, her hand stopping its movement because she was too tired to keep it up. She felt her consciousness start to leave her while Riku's hand lingered in her hair, his warmth also making her feel more comfortable. It was time to sleep and let everything else fade away for a while.

Riku ran his thumb over some of Lightning's hair at the words, happy to hear them. He could tell she was going to fall sleep any time now, and that was perfectly alright with him. She deserved her rest. And tomorrow, he would wake up right next to her, just like he wanted.

Lightning felt Riku's thumb start moving over her hair after she shared her affectionate words. She sighed a soft breath and let herself succumb to sleep, consciousness leaving her as she fell asleep in the arms of the only person she would ever trust to see her in a vulnerable state like this. The only person she would ever love. Riku.

A week later

Roxas ran his forearm over his face, sweating due to the heat. He walked to the edge of the roof and easily hopped down, landing smoothly on his feet before he said goodbye to the other workers. They were still working on the Islands' reconstruction after all this time, but there were only a few small neighborhoods that needed to be fixed up. For now, his shift was over, and the first place he was going was to the beach to get in the water and cool off. Then, he would go see Namine. She was spending a lot of time with Ben lately, which threw Roxas off a little bit; they hadn't hung out in a long time, but that was because of all the action and drama going on recently. But still, he had his suspicions. What happened between him and Namine last time because of Ben wasn't so pretty...

Namine stood on the beach, reflecting on her time with Ben earlier that day. As soon as she got back to the Islands, Sora asked a favor of her, and she jumped on it. He wanted her to take his and Kairi's engagement pictures. He trusted that since she had an artistic eye, she could do it, but she wanted them to turn out great, so she was going the extra mile. A while ago she spoke to Ben about photography lessons, and that was what he was giving her now. She was so excited she couldn't get her mind off Sora and Kairi's pictures. She was already getting a ton of ideas for them...But she couldn't tell anyone, or else that would bring Kairi that much closer to finding out about Sora's surprise.

Roxas ran a hand through his spikes, releasing a tired sigh. He was tired from work, but he was also tired of having these issues. Namine would never go behind his back and destroy his trust, would she? Especially a second time... He remembered what she said so long ago, when she came to tell him the news. She said she loved him and no one else, and that she couldn't love anyone the way she loved him. He hoped that still stood.

If I get them to stand right here when the sun sets... Namine thought, looking down at the ground where she stood. She then looked over to the side, another idea coming to mind. Oh! And if I get them to walk off and I can... Namine held back a squeal of excitement, a smile coming upon her face. She couldn't wait until she could get Sora and Kairi to take their pictures. They were going to turn out so great!
