Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"But we did," Riku said, his eyes finding Sora again. "We didn't try to do a thing about it, which made us cowards. Especially me." He should have at least tried to put an effort into solving the problem, but he never did. "I was stupid, and I apologize for that."

Sora nodded slightly, looking out in front of him. "Apology accepted," he easily said. Like he had told Kairi, he wasn't about to hold a grudge against the two friends that meant so much to him. Now was their time to build their friendship up again, not destroy it.
Riku didn't say anything. He knew that Sora meant that the apology was accepted, Riku didn't like the fact that that was all it took. As a friend, a true friend, an apology wasn't enough. Not to him, at least.

Sora kept his gaze forward, staying silent. Riku probably had more to say than just that, and if he did, Sora would listen. But if not, then he was alright with the silence for a little while.
Riku turned, leaning his back against the tree beside Sora. "I'm sure you know that I'm not a sap, like you," he said. "But this doesn't really solve anything for me." He then thought of something. "I'm not asking for redemption. I just want to set things right, the way they're supposed to be."
  • Author
"How do you plan on doing that?" Sora asked, glancing up at Riku when he was interested. Did he have any ideas on how to set things right? He would be the first, since nobody else really had solid ideas on how he could get the Keyblade back.
Riku shrugged a little. "I thought I'd pay a visit to a friend that might know a little more than me, then go from there," he revealed. The King...or Master Yen Sid. Whoever had the most answers. Of course, he would probably just go to both; the more answers he had, the better.

Sora hummed slightly, though he then looked down at the ground. He could take a guess as to who Riku was referring to, but honestly, he wasn't sure if it would make a difference. This was a strange situation; he wasn't sure if anybody would know a solution.
"Doesn't really matter what road I take, I guess," Riku said then. "Just as long as I get the answers I seek." Time mattered, but he would be sure to go as long as it took to get the Keyblade back.

"...You shouldn't disappear right away," Sora said after a few moments. "Kairi'll be upset if we're not all together for a while." She hadn't told him that, but he knew her well enough to make that call. Even if Riku left to help, she would have been worried sick about him if he went away.
Riku looked at the water, smiling sadly. "I know," he said quietly. Kairi was a mess, but he was sure Sora already knew that, so he wasn't about to say it aloud. She needed all of the love she could get, whether that was from a friend that was a like a brother, or somebody that was like a lover. Kairi just needed them, just as they all needed each other.

And besides, I don't think you'll find an answer to this one, Sora thought, keeping that reason to himself when Riku seemed to agree with staying for a while. He hoped there was a way to get his Keyblade back, but he was doubtful.
"...I think this has shown us that we all need to stay together," Riku said after a small silence. "Without one of us, we lose ourselves." That was how it felt anyway. Riku was confused, sad, and angry. Not a good combination, but it was too late.

Sora hummed softly, getting back to the conversation at hand. He really agreed; they were a trio, and they were supposed to be inseparable. Lately they had been apart and lost in their own way, and even though Riku and Kairi were going to begin recovery, Sora was going in the opposite direction without his Keyblade. What was he going to do?
Riku turned his head to look at his best friend, and he lifted his hand closest to him, setting it on Sora's shoulder. "It'll be alright, buddy," he said. "Just have a little faith." That was Riku's motivation anyway, other than Sora and Kairi. He was sure Sora had something around the same lines.
  • Author
"I'll try," Sora responded weakly, referring to having faith. Of course, that was much easier said than done. Aqua had been asking him a lot lately where his faith was, and he didn't know. He lost it somewhere along the way.
"Hm," Riku hummed with a faint smile. He released Sora's shoulder and crossed his arms over his chest, turning his gaze to the view in front of him again. "That's all I ask."

Sora felt a weak smile tug at his lips, though it faded pretty quickly after that. Obviously he and Riku were on good terms again, and he was extremely glad for that. But he still missed his Keyblade...It felt like his heart was torn up when it shattered. He had been in shock, seeing it happen right in front of his eyes.
Riku stayed silent, not having much to say now. He'd mostly said everything that he could. But he wouldn't be surprised if something else turned up later that he felt needed to be said as well. It was just how things worked sometimes, just like now. They would get through this; they made it through everything else.

Sora crossed his arms over his chest, and he then noticed that it was getting closer to sunset. He hadn't sat at the Paopu tree and watched the sunset for a little while; it had been too hard to do it without Riku and Kairi.
Riku felt himself relaxing for the first time in a long while. He guessed it was because things were close to being resolved, and things were patching up. That was all he really wanted lately, and he was glad he had that much going for him now.
  • Author
Sora looked out towards the ocean to see the setting sun, and he wondered if anybody else would come to see the sunset. He failed to notice if any boats had come over during his and Riku's conversation, since he had been distracted.
Roxas walked down the beach, heading over to the shack. He planned to watch the sunset, as always. He noticed that two other boats were here too, and he was sure he'd find out who those belonged to shortly.

Sora picked himself up off the ground after a few moments, stiff from sitting for so long. He stood up and leaned his back against the tree, his eyes lowered in thought. But he wouldn't miss the sunset; he was just waiting for it to get lower and for the sky to change color.
Riku turned his head without much thought, but he noticed a few people arriving. No surprise there; even when things were messy, the routine never changed. The sunset was still tradition. At least one thing has stayed the same.
