Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Sora lagged behind Kairi on the way back, turning out the lights of the apartment for her. He doubted that Namine and Kairi would want those on all night. After that was done, he entered Kairi's bedroom and finally slipped off his shoes, reaching up his hands so he could take off his shirt next. It was time to rest up.
Kairi grabbed a pair of shorts and a loose t-shirt, one that actually used to be Sora's before she stole it. She smiled to herself when she turned away from her dresser, only to see him taking off his shirt. She saw his toned torso and fought the urge to smile more, the girl walking out of the room in silence to change. She would see that daily in a few months; she really did need to stop blushing every time she saw Sora shirtless.

Sora dropped his shirt on the ground beside the bed before he collapsed onto the furniture, feeling it bounce underneath him because of how he flopped down. He sighed and turned his head on the pillow, much more exhausted than he previously thought he was. He would probably be out by the time Kairi returned from changing.
Kairi left the bathroom after brushing her teeth and hair, now dressed in Sora's shirt and a pair of her own shorts. She shut the door behind her, looking to the bed. A small smile found a place to rest against her lips at the sight of Sora's position, the girl still finding him incredibly cute after all these years. She knew that feeling would never leave.

As he predicted, Sora was already asleep by the time Kairi came back to the room. Fortunately, he was only on his side of the bed, one hand by his side while the other arm was over his bare stomach. He already had in mind that he would have to get up earlier, and since he was better trained than he was a few years ago, his body would naturally wake him up at that time.
Kairi made her way to the bed after shutting off the lights, the girl crawling in next to her fiance. After getting underneath the covers, she lifted his arm gently and slowly cuddled up next to him. "Love you," she whispered softly. Goodnight.

The next day

Lightning was downstairs in her house, in the small gym she had in her home. She had gotten done with the housework and was bored, so she went down to work out. She wasn't expecting visitors today, and she had the house to herself since Namine moved back to the Islands. She was alone, but alone was what she was used to. That didn't mean she liked it, though. She punched the punching bag with a gloved fist, seeing it swing with the movement. She was going to beat out a lot of frustration on that thing today.

Riku let himself in, sliding the glass door shut to Lightning's home. He came the way he always did, but today, he had a surprise. He just recently talked to Serah about doing something special for Lightning, and she told him about a place called Nautilus, the "City of Dreams". It was worth a shot, which was why he was here today. Of course, he also wanted to see her. She wasn't in the living room or the kitchen, but he did hear some music coming from one of the rooms downstairs. Given how often he was here in the past, he realized it was coming from the gym that Lightning had here in her home. Riku started in that direction, his armor gone from his travels by this point.

Lightning was already sweaty from her workout, since she had been punching the bag for a while. She was still bitter about everything that happened in the Realm of Darkness and the Realm of Twilight, even if that had been over a week ago. She was the weakest link of the group in a lot of ways, and that was something that she always hated. She never pictured herself as being a liability, and she refused to let herself become that again. She slugged the bag again in anger, breathing uneven because of her frustration and her tiredness from the workout. She never did slack off when it came to working out.
The music got louder as Riku grew closer to the gym, and when he approached the room, he saw the woman he loved beating up a punching bag. It was easy to recognize how angry she was, which concerned him. What was there to be angry about, other than the whole thing with the Corps? They still hadn't called her about lifting her suspension, which worried him as well, but there was nothing they could do for now. Was that it?

Lightning lifted a leg and kicked the bag with a side-kick, knocking it off the hook. When it hit the ground, it slid a little along the ground. She was just about to swear, because she was frustrated with the hook giving out on her, but then she saw somebody standing by the punching bag. She lifted her eyes up to their face and felt her expression change, showing surprise instead of anger. "Riku?"
Riku lifted an eyebrow, looking from the punching bag to Lightning. "A little on edge today?" he asked, keeping his position for now. She obviously wasn't expecting him, and that was alright. Riku was supposed to surprise her with a visit to Nautilus, but it could still happen. She just had to get cleaned up.

Light blinked at the question, glancing from the bag back up to Riku. Instead of answering his question, she decided to ask one of her own. "What're you doing here?" She knew he was starting to take less shifts for work and all, but she hadn't expected him to stop in today. Especially since he was just here to visit two days ago.
"I'm here to see you, of course," Riku said, stepping over the punching bag that managed to slide across the floor to the door. He approached the woman he loved with calm steps. "And I'm here to get you out of the house for a change." He had a few plans in mind, though he didn't know any specific details. It wasn't like he had ever been to Nautilus before.

Lightning turned to face Riku, arching a brow as she put a gloved fist on her hip. "Where're we going?" she asked, her breathing not even yet because of the workout still. Riku didn't know his way around Cocoon, so she figured that maybe he was going to take her back to the Islands or to some other world for whatever reason. He was still mysterious in a lot of ways, so she wasn't going to waste her time trying to guess what he had up his sleeve.
Riku stopped in front of Lightning and lifted a hand, his fingers gliding across her sweaty forehead as he brushed her damp bangs out of her face. He looked at his fingers when there was sweat on them, though he ignored it, his eyes finding Light again. "I'm sure you've heard of Nautilus," he hinted then. That was where they were going, and afterward, most likely dinner.

"The City of Dreams. Hmph," Light hummed with a small smirk. Her next question, though silent, was pretty obvious. How did you find out about that place? She had never spoken of it, especially since she had only been there once or twice. She didn't have much time for fun when she was living on Cocoon, since her life was dedicated to Serah and the Corps.
Riku smiled a little when he saw the look in Lightning's eyes, already knowing what question she would ask next. "Serah," he said with a small nod. He wanted to do something fun and special for Lightning, and her sister had a few ideas in mind. This sounded like the best one.
  • Author
"Should have known," Light said with a small smirk and a nod. Serah would tell Riku about that kind of a place. She went there a lot growing up and always said how much she loved it for its light atmosphere, attractions, and...well, everything. She loved everything about it, and she tried dragging Lightning there a lot, but the soldier never had time. Or interest. She wasn't big on amusement parks.
"Get cleaned up," Riku said then, his eyes still resting on the woman he loved. "I'll be waiting." He smiled at her warmly before turning around, stepping over the bag again as he went to exit the room. They weren't on a tight schedule, so she could take her time getting ready.

"Hey," Lightning called, staying where she was as she gazed at Riku. That call was meant for him to stop, obviously. She didn't care if he turned around; in fact, it would have worked out the same if he did or didn't. She had something to say before they briefly parted ways.
Riku stopped near the door, turning around a little to look at Lightning. "Hm?" he hummed softly, his eyes showing his wonder. What was up?

Light approached Riku, stepping over the bag so she was standing behind him. She outstretched one of her arms and placed her gloved fist against Riku's back lightly, her eyes on what she could see of his face. "It's a little rude to let yourself into my house and then not give a proper greeting," she stated softly, hinting at what she wanted. A hug or a kiss, or some other type of real greeting.
Riku closed his eyes, lowering his head slightly as he released a single chuckle. Right, he thought. He felt Lightning's fist against his back, but he turned around completely. A proper greeting? He could do that with ease.
  • Author
Light removed her fist from Riku's back when he turned, her gloved hands both hanging by her sides as she looked up at him expectantly. She got her point across, so there was no reason for her to speak again until Riku gave her a real greeting. She didn't know how he'd do it, but she would find out soon enough.
