Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning's smirk only grew. Don't you worry; you'll know it when you smell it. Besides, from what she remembered, the farm was closer to the rear of the City of Dreams. So, they would have plenty of time to enjoy the fresh air before they went back to the chocobos.
Riku left the house alongside the woman he loved, and he walked hand-in-hand with her to the train station. It was there that he paid for their tickets and they both boarded the train. He gripped one of the poles, standing as the train road along the tracks toward Nautilus. Light pointed out that he couldn't exactly use his glider; it would be suspicious to the civilians. He didn't mind it, really. It was just transportation.

Lightning stood on the train as well, holding onto the same pole as Riku as she stood on the other side of it. She couldn't remember the last time that she actually rode a train, but that didn't really matter. Eventually, the train came to a gentle stop. They arrived at the City of Dreams. She started towards the doors first, since she was more familiar with this place than Riku was. It would be interesting to see his reaction to a place like this.
Riku followed Lightning out, letting her take the lead since he didn't exactly know his way around. This was his idea, but he would still let her call the shots. Once he was off the train, he noticed that they were in a building much like a mall, advertisements and televisions all around. "Hm," he said, lifting an eyebrow. He sure hoped this wasn't it.

Light turned around, grasping Riku's hand and leading him to a place where they could stand out of the way of the people exiting the train. "Welcome to Nautilus," she said with a small smirk once they were standing still. She motioned to the mall around them, this being a big part of the City of Dreams. But it wasn't all of it.
Riku held Lightning's hand, his gaze dropping to her before he looked to the place in front of them. "A mall?" he said, lifting an eyebrow. "If this is the 'City of Dreams', it's kinda lame." He'd seen malls before. There was nothing extravagant about this place. Of course, he highly doubted Serah told him to take Lightning to a mall, of all places.

Light chuckled, lifting her free hand and patting Riku's arm. "It's only part of the City of Dreams," she revealed calmly. "Don't worry; I hate malls just as much as you probably do." She didn't like shopping, and she assumed that Riku didn't like it either. They could skip right through this and go to the amusement park, or if there was a parade today, they could go see that.
"I don't doubt that," Riku said with a crooked smile, looking down at Light. Half of the smile was because of what she said, but the other part was because of her laugh. He hoped to hear more of it in the future. "So, lead the way." He motioned with his free hand for her to take the lead. She probably knew her way around better than he did.

Lightning nodded, tightening her grip on Riku's hand as she started leading the way. Even if this was Riku's idea, she would have to decide what to do here. He didn't know anything about this place, apparently. He hadn't even known it was a mall! She was sort of surprised he hadn't done more research before bringing her here.
Riku's eyes roamed the area as his feet naturally moved to Lightning's pace. Why didn't she tell me about the whole mall thing? he thought, referring to Serah. She said there would be some attractions that would catch Lightning's attention, but she never mentioned specifics. Riku was just interested in getting Lightning away from Bodhum and out of the house for once. He successfully did that, though he hoped she had some fun while she was out. If she didn't, she probably wouldn't want to do this again.

Lightning glanced over at the screen as she and Riku approached it, and she noticed that there was going to be a parade today. And whenever they had a parade, they always reenacted the great war between Cocoon and Gran Pulse. Of course, people were getting smart enough to realize now that Pulse wasn't really evil, but the shows continued as more of a tradition than anything else. She walked past the screen, planning on letting Riku see the show. He'd get a better idea of what Cocoon was like through that.
Riku glanced at the screen as he and Light passed it by, but he had to look down to avoid bumping into some kids. This place was definitely crowded, and why wouldn't it be? Its nickname was enough to attract people. Publicity stunt. Of course.

"I want to show you something," Light said over her shoulder as the two of them broke away from the crowd briefly. They were going to the parade area, and Lightning realized now she had never actually seen the show in person. She saw it on television before, but she was sure that the experience would be pretty different here. It would be interesting to see how the people acted now that they knew Pulse wasn't evil.
"Mm?" Riku hummed, stepping up so he could walk beside Lightning as they approached a set of stairs. By the looks of things, they would lead them outside. "What?" What did she want to show him? Then again, I have a lot to see.

"Something that'll shed some light on Cocoon and Gran Pulse," Lightning said, walking through the automatic doors to a place where the sky looked dark. Well, it was dark except for the ornaments that floated in the sky. She figured they would be a part of the parade that would be starting any time now. The parade, organized previously by the fal'Cie, would show just how much brainwashing there was for Cocoon's people in the past. It was sad.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed, his eyes lingering on his companion before he looked forward. He blinked at the sight and how things suddenly changed. This place definitely wasn't just a mall...

Lightning stopped walking beside Riku, able to see some signs of the amusement park from where they stood. But she was more focused on what was about to happen. She looked at the platform in the air and saw parts of it start spinning like coins, never disconnecting from the round, designed platform. Yeah, it's starting, she thought, the crowd in the area cheering as disks started falling from the sky.
Riku was slightly surprised by the sudden change of events, people's applause and screams entering his ears. He looked up, seeing what first appeared to be specks of dust falling from the sky before he realized they were disks. One came right at him and he lifted his hand, gently grabbing a hold of it as he lowered it so he could look at it. A blue light suddenly appeared before Carbuncle, a small summon, showed up. "It's party time, Romeo!" he called. Riku grunted, though Carbuncle immediately flew away, going into the sky to be with the other summons for the parade.

Light's previously wide eyes went from the summon to Riku, seeing the startled expression he wore. She couldn't help but smile as she looked up at the sky, the blue lights reflecting in her eyes as all the Carbuncle figures flew in coordinated moves and revealed a blue platform that translucent figures rose out of. One was in the middle playing a harp while the others were dancing majestically. They represent Cocoon, she remembered. Perfect, peaceful, innocent Cocoon.
Riku watched in a stunned silence, his aqua eyes dancing across the sky as he followed the blue translucent figures as they danced. Much like everything else, he didn't expect there to be fire right then, red figures with blazing hair appearing before something much larger arrived. A menacing laugh rang out before a large creature made itself present, a man on its back. "With Pulse-born spite, and savage might, I will destory Cocoon!" he cried. ...Pulse, Riku thought immediately.

The red sprites destroyed Cocoon's forces, though they joined together to form a stronger summon. "With trusted blade and fal'Cie's aid, I will defend Cocoon!" The monster from Pulse attacked, but Cocoon's warrior only blocked it. "To battle!" he cried, initiating a real fight. Or, of course, a fight as real as could be here. She realized that all this was perfectly coordinated and scripted, so there was no real battle going on here.
Riku watched and listened in awe as the people around him and Lightning started cheering louder as Pulse's warrior transformed his summon into Ragnarok. He blinked at the sight, though Cocoon didn't hesitate fighting back. The two went into battle head-on, but that was when a bright light enveloped the area. Riku squinted past it, and when it faded, only a large glowing orb remained.

Lightning folded her arms over her chest, humming as the crowd cheered. The enemy from Pulse was destroyed, and so the show was over. But she couldn't help but dwell on what the beast said before he changed into Ragnorak. He had cried that he would fulfill his focus. Not all l'Cie are evil enough to fulfill their focus no matter what, she thought, thinking of herself and her friends. They defied their focuses...except for Fang and Vanille. They did turn into Ragnorak and "destroy" Cocoon. But it was for the best; they all knew that.
Riku watched as small green pieces of the light fell toward the ground, the boy holding a hand out as one hovered in his palm before going out. So, Pulse started this...he thought, referring to the war. Well, at least there wasn't a battle to be fought anymore.

But...why did you two have to... Light subconsciously took a step over to the side so somebody could get between her and Riku, the crowd leaving while she kept her gaze on the ornaments that remained. They sacrificed themselves after Cocoon's lights went out, became Ragnarok, and created a crystal tower to keep the world from falling and shattering. She knew there was no other way, but she still didn't like that her two friends were frozen. And worse than that, her gut told her it was their destiny to remain frozen. Forever.
