I just realized, that scene when they're playing chess and Xehanort has lost and says to Eraqus, "One day when the world needs a defender, it'll pick you" I wonder if maybe thats where Eraqus got the idea for the name of his Keyblade the Masters Defender?
That would be kind poetic if he was inspired by what his friend said-which was such a touching moment- and named his keyblade off that inspiration.
It kinda tinges that name and weapon to be...idk almost a wish, a hope to be that defender. A boyhood wish inspired by a friend.
I may be overthinking that, and I think its like the Master Keeper in Japanese but I still think that'd be so touching if this was the case
