Authorities believe that the man simply lost his way, but residents believe that he was captured by a portal. The chief of police assured the public that the man is probably in the woods, and that a search team is looking for him. But we all know this is in vain. His mom is one of those people who had disappeared over the past month, and he was trying to do everything he could to find her. But ever since this talk about portals came into play, he is scared that his mom is in some other place, probably dead."Keep your cool", he sighs as he gets up from his couch. Reassurance always helped him with things. He slowly walks outside and sits on his porch, and observes the people outside. Several people were protesting on the far end of his block in front of the police station. The signs read, "We are next." We are next. Tao takes this phrase to mind. If this portal talk was true, then this whole world will be completely swallowed. All of Nax would be gone. Tao begins to rub his temples in thought. But if I find a portal and go into it...would I be able to see mom?
November 13, 201014 yr "Hey, Mom!" A boy yelled out. Of course, what he needed was simply an essential, despite the fact he was in a simple bath towel. The man stared at a rather fogged up mirror, and annoyed by the inability to see his completion, he wiped the steam away to reveal a rather young face. He sighed, squishing his upper lip between his thumb and index finger. Should I shave? Nahh.... He thought to himself, noticing the man-hairs sprouting from the usually clean patch of skin. The teenager relaxed and yelled out again. "MOM, did you hear me?!" He was getting slightly impatient, but surely enough she knocked on the door. "Can you get me some of my hair gel from my room?" He murmured, forcing the words out of his mouth. "Sure, honey!" Good... After receiving the gel from a skinny arm that crept its way inside of the bathroom, the boy quickly dried his hair as fast as he could. He lathered on the gel, constantly running his hands through his jet black hair to form the perfect spikes. After the hair was styled to perfection, he was now sporting off a decent fohawk in nothing but a towel wrapped around his sorry ass. He studied his face, looking at his minor imperfections, before putting on the usual casual clothing he used daily. There were of course the few blemishes, scratches, and everything else you would expect on a teenage boy who would constantly get into trouble in some way or another. Whether it be standing up for someone or simply having fun, he had been somewhat active and interested in how he and others worked. His face a little long and his eyebrows a bit too thin was something he simply had to deal with for his life. The eyes were something. His fathers eyes were always a bit dull, a look on his face always lost. That, of course, is something that his mother had fell in love with. Her eyes were a nice, deep blue that was always something that people turned their attention to. The mans eyes seemed normal for a person like him though. People would always wear odd colored contacts or simply have abnormal colored eyes and hair. It wasn
November 24, 201014 yr Author The fresh air relaxed Tao. He was tense and nervous about this whole situation. He had been living by himself for months. His dad had left years ago, and his mom disappeared a few months ago. Getting up from his seat on the porch, Tao turns away from the rioting crowd and decides to walk to the park. The park would be peaceful, wouldn't it? The formerly blue sky is now speckled with rain clouds in various areas. A cold breeze sweeps through, leaving Tao shivering as he sits down on a park bench next to the playground. Oddly enough, no kids were outside playing. Weird. Tao rubs his palms together in an effort to warm his hands as another breeze sweeps through. And then he saw it. A black dot appeared randomly in the middle of the playground. At first it just hovered midair, and then it started to suck things from the park into it. Trees were unrooted, benches flew. Tao jumps up from his seat and starts to run, but the portal's powerful suction power pulls him towards it. Tao falls to the ground, still being dragged towards the portal. He tries to dig his fingernails into the grass, but his nails don't stay. In a few seconds, Tao is completely swallowed by the portal, and forced into a black abyss.
November 27, 201014 yr After gelling up his hair, Hakken was told to go to the store to pick up a few items, nothing special. He slipped on a normal T and a pair of raggedy old pants. He left as quickly as he got ready, hopping on his favorite bicycle for old times sake. Of course, he was going to take a short cut. It was only a few items and his mother would be suspicious if he took any longer. Even though Haaken would rather take the long way, he didn't want to get into trouble with mother just for the fun of riding an old, worn out bicycle. It was nice to get outside every while. Of course, with his parents worrying about the portal issue he had been cooped up inside during the night and stayed out less and less each day as the problem continued to occur. Everyone in the town had worried about everyone. Even their pets and annoying neighbors. Nobody wanted to be next. After a while, riots began to start and eventually it seemed like the issue was all anyone had ever talked about. None of the residents wanted to be sucked up into the darkest of all places. Especially when nobody at all has returned yet. While being locked inside of his thoughts, Haaken had paid no attention for where he was going. Not that he actually needed too, for he knew the way like the back of his hand. Most importantly, he didn't notice that atmosphere around the area. He suddenly snapped out of his thoughts as he realized that he was being sucked into the portal, ever so slowly. "No... NO!" He shouted as he attempted to pedal away with no luck. He kept a hold of his bike and grabbed onto a tree. Slowly, it inched out of the ground, him and his bike being sucked in right on with it.
November 27, 201014 yr Author What was this feeling? Tao felt like he was floating in the middle of space for what seemed like days, but it was only seconds. He felt so cold, like all of the life was just sucked from him. Suddenly, a spot of light interrupts his moment of blindness. That spot begins to grow larger, and Tao feels himself being pulled towards that spot. Then he felt warmth, a warmth he never had felt before. He found himself lying down in a field of grass that stretched for miles. The sun, positioned comfortably in the middle of the sky, emitted a warm heat directly on Tao. "Where am I? Is this heaven?", Tao mutters to himself. He was astounded by the beauty of this place. It was a perfect world.
November 28, 201014 yr Suffocated. He was being suffocated by the seemingly endless darkness. For days it seemed, or was it only a minute? It didn't matter. The only thing that made sense was the pain in his right arm. It was as if it had been shattered into a million pieces, like his arm had found its way into a grinder. He couldn't feel it though, for it just seemed so far away. That's when he realized it. He opened his eyes and two things were clear. One, that the world was filled with a strange happiness. Two, that the pain caused by a tree over his right arm outweighed the happiness. Well, he thought, taking a look up into the blue, blue sky, at least I'll die in a peaceful place. Tears began to streem down his checks as he attempted to at least drag his arm out from under the tree. Out of luck. Just like he had been when he found his way into the portal. Stupid. Just like he was when he wasn't paying attention to the atmosphere and when he grabbed onto a tree that would easily lead to his demise. Hopeless. Although he was in a perfect world, nothing could save him even now.
November 28, 201014 yr Author Tao sits up, covering his eyes from the sun, and looks into the distance. A man riding a hoverbike was flying towards him. "Maybe he is here to help me!", Tao says to himself. Surely the people in this place must be kind. Tao stands to his feet, and starts waving his hands at the man, signaling at him. "Hey!", he yells. "Over here!". The man continues to ride towards Tao, his face covered by the white helmet he is wearing. The man finally reaches Tao, and he jumps off of his bike. He is clothed in some sort of uniform, an all white one. He is wearing a white helmet, a white jacket, a belt full of weapons, white pants, and white boots. White, the color of peace. Toa walks up to the man and reaches out to shake his hand. "Hello kind sir, I am Tao Yuzi. Can you tell me where we are?". The man looks suspiciously at Tao. "You have no idea where you are?". Tao shakes his head. He notices that the man is looking at him like he is lying. "Just what I thought", the man says. In a quick movement, the man grabs a small pole from his belt, and presses a button. The pole grows x4 times its size, into a staff like weapon. At the top of the staff, an electrical current surges. "You are under arrest!", the man yells. Tao gapes his mouth. What had he done? Did he offend the man? "Sir, I don't know what I-". The man cuts off Tao and swings his electric staff at him, hitting him in the ribs. A painful shock erupts throughout Tao's body, and he falls to the ground, clutching his side and panting hard. The man pins Tao to the ground and pulls both of his arms to his back, slapping handcuffs onto his wrist. Tao tries to struggle free, but the man kicks him the head and drags him towards his bike. Tao, slowly losing consciousness, takes one last look at the sun before everything goes black.
December 5, 201014 yr Haaken had two possible options. One, to bite and claw at his arm until it came off. Two, to wait here for someone to find him or just starve to death. Of course a broken arm would be practically useless, and possibly unusable ever again, so the idea didn't bother him. Of course he was thinking a little ahead, however Haaken felt that if time dragged on to long, it was his only option. He would probably bleed to death, but that would just be a much quicker death than the one destined for him under a gigantic tree. Either way, he was royally firetrucked. He would have been under there for a while, rotting in the sunlight. That is, if a strange shadow didn't come over him. His vision focused to see an oddly dressed man looming over him, staring with a rather blank face. "Thank..." That was all Haaken could actually get out before two men picked up the tree that was crushing his arm with superhuman strength. "Who are you? Why am I here? Where is this anyway?" Was all he could get out, instead of thanking the people who saved his arm from being ripped into pieces by a certain someone. All of a sudden, one of them picked him up and looked him straight in the face. "Let me go...!" Haaken demanded, realizing how tired he was after all this time. The man did as he asked and threw him on the ground. A shock of pain flew through Haaken's spine as he lay there, confused by his friend's actions. "Why are you doing this to me...?" He asked before finally blacking out, seeing nothing more than the man closing in on him.
December 5, 201014 yr Author The sound of dripping water wakes Tao up from his slumber. He finds himself on a cold, hard floor. "Ugh", he mutters. His head begins to pound painfully. What had happened? Tao didn't even know. Everything is a blur. He sits up slowly, rubbing his eyes. Where am I?, he thinks to himself. The room he is in is small and compact. Like a cell. Tao's eyes widen, and he turns his head to the front of the room. 12 iron bars serve as the door to the room. He is in jail. "Jail?", he says to himself. And then the memory becomes clearer. Images of a man in white beating him with a staff and dragging him flash in his mind. Tao stands to his feet, the wound on his side starting to pulse with pain. Holding his ribs, Tao walks to the edge of the cell, peering out through the bars. Outside of the cell is some kind of hallway with 3 more cells in it, and a grandiose white door that leads to some other room. Two men in white suits appear from what seems to be a door disguised as part of the wall, dragging a man through the hallway. The man is unconscious, a trickle of blood dripping from his mouth, and a heavy amount of blood seeping from his right arm. Tao also frowns at the man's hairstyle. A fohawk?! Ha. What did they do this guy though?. The men toss the fohawk man into a cell next to Tao's, and then walk to the grandiose doors and open them, proceeding into the room.
