Start us off my flamboyant darling?

(Lol, I can see when they find out it was The Door to Darkness, Sora turning to Kairi and being all: "THIS IS WHY WE DON'T IGNORE RANDOM DOORS IN CAVES!" xDDD)

 

Riku never did catch up, he had lingered in the cave for the whole night, staring at the door as if hypnotized. It was slowly taking over his mind. He could feel something stirring within but he didn't find it alarming. Why would he?

Kairi paid Sora a visit late at night, when it should've been their bedtime. "Oh, hi Kairi!" He greeted her kindly, but Kairi wasn't smiling. She had no reason to. "Sora, I'm concerned about Riku."

 

"Riku? How come?"

"...He's been down in that cave all night..."

"...He...He has?"

Riku leaned back against the curved trunk of the tree impatiently, arms crossed. He had sent Kairi to go find Sora, being he was late. 20 minutes okay. Haku was climbing the tree above his head, Miyu was leaned against the tree next to him and was humming. It was irritating.

 

"What's taking them?"

 

"It's a big island, give 'em time."

Kairi was pulling Sora along the beach, giggling. Haku knew that giggle anywhere and looked over from his place on the tree. He slid down, pointing to the pair. "Found them." He said cheerfully, smiling as usual.

Riku gave a small 'about time', smiling nonetheless. He wasn't as mean as when he was a kid but he still was cocky as hell. He gave a small wave to Sora, giving a smirk.

 

"Sleep in again?" He called, shaking his head. Miyu laughed, waving a bit more enthusiastically. She enjoyed hanging out with everybody more then she did, not always feeling like a 3rd wheel anymore.

 

"Heeey?!"

Riku gave a small smirk, shaking his head as he saw Sora half-asleep. He got nicer over the years (Riku) but there were occasions where he acted superior. And he was still cocky as hell, no doubt about it. Still, he waved to the pair, flinching as sand was kicked up from Haku jumping.

 

Miyu waved to, a bit more enthusiastic, a brilliant smile on her lips. She was glad to see them all, being she was much better friends with everybody now that they were older. She didn't really feel like a third wheel anymore.

 

"Took you long enough!" Riku called.

"Sorry." Sora apologized, scratching the back of his head gingerly. "I was kinda busy..." Kairi corrected him immediately. "With chores. You're always getting in trouble!" She scolded.

 

"S-Sorry!"

 

(I just found out I have Hughes Syndrome. >w>'' Well, shit.)

Riku rolled his eyes, leaning his arm on Sora's head, using him as fake support as he stood up. He always teased him like this...

 

"Course, chores. That's why you're supposed to get 'em done early." Riku instructed, before getting cut off by a teasing Miyu.

 

"By that he means putting the chores on me." She stated, wagging a taunting finger. The silverette shooed her in false irritation, taking his spot back on the tree. He got a bit more serious after a moment, looking at them all a bit intently.

 

"You know, tomorrow's the day."

They nodded in understanding. They had willfully agreed to set sail to the other Worlds...All Riku's plan. He proposed that they build two rafts; each to hold at least three people. Supplies, supplies, supplies. Sora and Haku were responsible for supplies. Which didn't please them at all.

(HA, imagine Sora remembered everything EXCEPT the food xDDD)

 

Riku nodded, looking to the sky in remembrance. The day they found Kairi had changed everything, had made them open. They knew there were more Worlds...and that Riku wanted to find them with everything he had. He wanted off this island.

 

"We just need some mushrooms and we'll be all set for tomorrow. Remember, we leave first thing in the morning." He said, voice a little distant as he thought about it. Miyu shifted, a little uncomfortable. She didn't want to go along with this, really she didn't. But she didn't want to be left behind and she wanted to stay with her friends desperately. So she sucked it up.

 

"I hope we'll be okay..."

(AW SHIT.)

 

"We'll be fine!" Haku mused, smiling brightly. "Don't forget, you guys need to get those mushrooms before tomorrow arrives." Kairi reminded them, and Haku's smile disappeared. "Yeah, yeah...We've only got two more to find anyways."

 

"Then I suggest you get to it and get it over with."

Miyu laughed, tugging on her blond bangs lightly. She loved how they could all kid around with each other now without worry. Riku shrugged nonchalantly, motioning to the shrubbery part of the island.

 

"There's some mushrooms by the cave, you can get them there." He said blatantly, not showing the excitement that ran through him at the very mention of the cave and the door lingering there. Unknown to any of them he had been visiting it everyday. And he was thrilled by what he had a hunch was behind then the wood.

 

Power.

(*dazed* Oh, Riku's powerful alright. *drool*)

 

Sora, no longer afraid of the door, volunteered to go, leaving Haku to find the other. Before he knew it, he was back in the cave, picking the mushroom successfully. As he stood, he stole a glance at te door. Almost tempted to open it, he pressed his palm to it curiously. He pulled away eventually, rushing back to the others.

Riku was eagerly awaiting their return, splitting the suply equally among the rafts, noting when and how to use everything. Especially to Miyu who had a case of doing more then necessary. Finally, as he saw Sora, he smiled, waving him over. That seemed to be it.

 

"This is going to work. I know it." Miyu nodded, hiding any fear she would have had with a gentle smile.

 

"I hope so. Or else this would have been a waste. I still feel bad though about not telling our parents..." That was another thing, the were sneaking away.

(I can imagine Sora being like, "Oh...we weren't supposed to tell our parents?" )

 

Haku shrugged. "Don't feel bad! It'll be worth it!" He was back with the last of the mushrooms, setting them down near the rafts. "So who's going to go with who?" He asked, wiping off some sweat lingering on his forehead from the blistering heat.

(Goddammit.)

Miyu gave a small nod, not entirely convinced. She didn't like the idea of leaving the people who raised her to be honest and kind. Not to lie and deceive. Call her a goody two shoes if you will but it was her belief.

 

"Sora and Kairi will be going with me, you two will be on the other raft." Riku clarified, standing up to look at Haku. "You know what map to follow to right?"

"Yeah..." He said, looking at Miyu. "Heh. My first time sharing anything with a girl before." He said, chuckling. (<3) He had never even been alone with a girl before, let alone traveling to other worlds with one. Subconsciously, he knew that Sora was probably nervous to share one with Kairi too.

Miyu blushed lightly under his gaze but smiled back. She'd shared stuff with Riku before when they were alone but did he really count? He was more of a brother to her. A mean one on occasion, but a brother nonetheless.

 

"Same here I guess." Riku interrupted, crossing his arms and sighing rather loudly.

 

"Whenever you're done~" He interrupted, giving a small smirk to Miyu, who rolled her mint green eyes. Stupid Riku..."When Sora get's back we'll go home and prepare. Then...we're off."

Just as he said that, Sora was back. With the mushroom. "All done!" He put it in the supply pile and sighed. Kairi looked at him. "Good job!" She praised, making him blush. "Heh..."

Riku nodded, examining everything over once before giving and approving nod, arms behind his head.

 

"Looks good, looks we're all set to pack. Ready?" He asked lightly, looking at everyone with hooded eyes. But as he did so there was a strange glimmer that Miyu hadn't missed. She didn't like the looks of it.

 

"Yeah...I guess I am."

(You DO know that the Heartless are released before they depart, right? Lol, just making sure.)

(Yeeees, I know that. But it happens at night when Sora goes to check on the boats and all. Then the Heartless attack and everything ^^ Now replyyyy?)

The group went home only a few minutes later, preparing for the next day. Sora was told to secure the supplies since there was a storm brewing, and was supposed to hit the Island soon. He made sure everything was safe, and stood.

 

But then...

 

The wind picked up, the clouds swirled above his head and the sky darkened. Sora shuddered, thinking the storm was close....But it wasn't. He turned to walk back, and a creature was there. It didn't look like an animal. Just a...creature. "Hey there...little guy," He reached out to pet it, only to get lunged at. "Wh-Whoa!!"
