Riku looked to Sora and then Sora's friends. "Yeah. Got it..." He didn't feel comfortable with them but if they were Sora's friends, they were tolerable in his eyes. Riku took a seat next to Sora. He was a bi hungry so he pulled out some sushi he had prepared for himself before leaving his house. Before eating it, he looked at everyone else.

"Would you like some..?"

Almost immediately, Ven and Sora raised their hands like they were in class exclaiming "I do! I do!" while everone else started laughing at the two; really they were so much alike personality wise than appearance.

"You two seriouly need to cut down on the sugar coated cereal in the morning" said Axel as he was sitting inbetween Sora and Ven while playfully grabbing them in a half nelson, laughing and ignoring their pleas of being let go. Riku looked a bit startled at this action but Kairi reassured him that it was a somewhat daily occurance.

Riku blinked. These people were so.... Weird...? Was that the word?

He stuck out the plate to both of them and after they both took one, he offered some to the rest of them. When no one else wanted any, he sat back next to Sora and ate his sushi in silence. It felt so wired being with all these people at once...

Lunch continued on while Sora was complaining that his English teacher was evil for making them write a 5 page essay and turn it in next class. Roxas, who was sitting across from Sora said "You say that about almost all of your teachers Sora." while rolling his eyes at his cousin's childish behavior.

"But Ro~xas~ its supposed to have single space and the words have to be in text font 10! I'm tell you she did on purpose!" he whined.

Riku chuckled a bit at their silliness. He had the same teacher but for a different period. The teacher had only made that class period to do three pages.

"Maybe it's beause she wants you to improve on your writing Sora. She's just trying to do her job and be helpful!" Yeah, right.

(I could not resist putting that there)

"Yeah, right! Every class she picks me to answer the most difficult questions and tells me to present my project first even though she said she'd call on us in alphabetical order by first name! I'm telling ya, that teacher Maleficent is dead set on making me fail English." said Sora, pausing to take a bit of his lunch. Sora had a knack for knowing whether or not someone had good or bad intentions. And that teacher had every meaning of the word bad written all over her.

Riku rolled his eyes. "Whatever. She seems nice to me." Riku explained. He ruffled Sora's hair and went to throw his trash away. Riku started to walk back to Sora when the bell had rung.

'Damn.' he thought.

Riku gave an apologetic look to Sora before heading off to his next class.

Sora was a bit disappointed that the bell rung. That meant he didn't really get a chance to get to know Riku and now Sora had to go to his Art class, not that he didn't like it. 'Hey who knows? Maybe Riku has art class with me' that one thought blew way any disappoint Sora had. After all, Art was an elective.

He gathered his things and headed towards the Art room with Namine and Kairi, both girls sharing the same class with their spiky haired friend.

Riku followed the huge crown of kids until he reached Room 1313. He frowned when he saw the subject that class specialized in. What a bother...

"Art." he mumbled. He walked into the classroom and a pink haired male was writing his name on the board in fancy cursive letters. "Marluxia."

Sora really didn't know what gender the Art teacher was. His face made alot of the male students think he was a woman but his voice told a different story. A true mystery indeed; not it had anything to do with the class. Marluxia was a great teacher, but he mostly made the class use nature as a main topic for their art work. Sora looked around boredly before seeing a head with familiar silver hair. He couldn't but feel happy seeing Riku.

Kairi and Namine looked at Sora and noticed how he became more cheerful after spotting Riku. They both gave each other a nod; it was obvious to them that there was something more to Sora and Riku's relationship that just meeting and becoming friends.

Riku carried an uninsterested look . He was generous and gave it to everyone and everything. He sisghed. There was nothing to do out there. Riku decided to go inside the classroom. He pulled the door open and waited for everyone to come in. He didn't want to embarrass himself by taking a seat that was already taken.

Sora got up from his chair and walked up to Riku. Before he could react, Sora was already dragging him by his arm to the table where Namine and Kairi were sitting. "Don't just stand there looking lost, you can sit with us! There's an empty chair in our group anyways." said Sora cheerfully, turning his head to look at Riku with his grin adorning his face.

"Marluxia doesn't really care where you sit as long as you introduce yourself" he added as an after thought

"Introduce myself?" Riku repeated. Oh no. This place just turned into hell. Riku sat in the seat between Kairi and Sora. He gave a quick smile to both Kairi and Namine before turning back around. It was still a little wierd...

"Yeah, any new student who enters this class has to introduce themselves. All you have to do is say your name and whatever else you want to say." said Kairi, noticing that Riku was still acting a bit weird around Namine and herself. Sora was completely oblivious since he was going through his bookbag to make sure he didn't forget his homework.

"Where is it? I know I have it in here somewhere.. Aha! Got it" he exclaimed happily as Sora took out a slight wrinkled sheet of paper with a drawing of the small island that was a off the coast of the mainland.

Riku nodded at Kairi. "Thanks."

He looked over to Sora and saw him flattening out a piece of paper. The drawing on it was kind of familiar. He didnt remember where he saw it though..

"Hey, Sora? What is that?"

"Huh?"

He looked up at Riku after straighing out the wrinkles. "Oh! It's a drawing of that small island off the coast. It's were me and my friends usually go to relax and hang out on the weekends." he said, before inspecting the paper to make sure it didn't have any stains. Marluxia would lecture his ear off if there was a stain

"Oh."

So it was that place. The place he went to every chance he could to explore. Funny, he never saw anyone else there....Maybe when he started to go less and less, they started to go...

"Destiny Island, right?"

"Yep!" replied Sora after his inspection of his homework was complete. He really did love that island; it was were he met all of his friends and boy did they have a lot of fun there. "There's a lot of fun stuff to do there, especially the obstacale course around back."

Riku smiled. It made him feel warm inside the way Sora's adoring eyes were displayed. He didnt know why. They just did... He took Sora's drawing and smiled. It was good. Much like he remembered it...

"It's really good, Sora."

Sora felt his heart skip a beat when Riku smiled and complimented his art. "Y-you think so?" said Sora, a light pink coloring his cheeks. "Well, you should see some of Namine's drawings! She's really good!" he said, motioning towards the petite blond girl sitting next to Kairi. Inwardly Namine sighed; really Sora was just too dense sometimes.

Felt comfortable for the first time today. Riku reached over for Namine's sketchbook. "May I?' He asked. When she nodded, he flipped through it. Sora was right. It was good. Actually, great!.

He paused when he saw a picture of all of Sora's friends. Sora, Kairi, Namine, Roxas, Ven, Axel,......and....

Riku..?

"Uhm, Namine? Is that me?"

(I just read Innocent today. I can't believe Riku let that happen to Choco!)

Sora looked over to see Namine's sketchbook and saw the drawing. It was a picture from when they were younger, maybe around a year ago or two. But... Sora never recalled meeting Riku back then. He turned to Namine, confusion written all over his face.

"When did you draw this Namine?" he asked, curiousity mixed in with his confusion.

  • Author

(I know right? So sad...)

Riku looked at the picture one more time. It was so wierd... He'd never seen any of them before so why was he there? Coincidence? Or not..? He was so confused. He hoped Namine confused him with someone else...

(And he had the nerve to smile while comforting Sora! Talk about being influenced by the darkness)

"I... I'm not sure. I just saw it in a dream a while back and thought it would be nice to draw" she said shyly, as she played with her hair. Sora looked at her then back at the drawing. This was a little too weird. How could Namine draw someone she hadn't met until now?

"Well it's probably doesn't mean anything, right?" said Sora as he sheepishy scratched the back of his head while laughing a bit nervously

  • Author

(But it created a sweet moment. I dont know why it's called Innocent if Riku was totally guilty xD)

Riku still was baffled. What exactly WAS this?

"Right... nothing."

Riku handed back Namine's sketchbook and looked up at the board. It seemed Marluxia was about to start the lesson.
