Sora nodded his head, feeling a bit hungry himself since he didn't really eat anything before he left his house. He sat down inbetween Riku and Kairi as she took out the food and drinks that she and Namine had prepared before the boys came and pick them up.

[Time Skip]

When they were finished eating, Riku stood up. He walked Orr o the ocean and motioned Namine to come along too. When they arrived at the beet part of the sand, Riku frowned.

"I don't know if things will ever be the same between me and Sora... I actually don't know what I'll do next.."

Namine stood up and followed Riku. She had a thoughtful look on her face. "Maybe you should just take it one step at a time." she suggested, trying to help Riku out with his problem. Meanwhile, Sora and Kairi exchanged looks, both wondering what Riku and Namine were talking about.

Riku sighed. "Right."

He didn't know what she meant though. Their relationship had gone too fast. They just met some time ago and now this? Riku didn't know what to make of it... Was he confused or was Sora?

Namine frowned a bit, knowing that Riku didn't really understand what she said. Heck, she was just as lost as Riku was. Riku and Sora had only become friends recently and for this to happen out of no where was just... too sudden. Namine looked up at the sky, trying to figure out what to say.

"Maybe... you should try taking things slowly." she said, noticing the look she was getting from him. "You know, like getting to know each other better."

Riku pondered for a moment. He thought Namine was right. How would he break it to Sora though...?

He seemed to like him, Riku knew that. He didn't know what to say or do...He could break Sora's heart with that..

"Yeah. You're right. I understand." With that, they walked back to Kairi and Sora. Riku pulled off a blank expression so Sora wouldn't see what he was truly feeling inside...

Sora noticed the blank expression Riku had and wondered what he and Namine were talking about. But he felt that it wasn't any of his business so he didn't ask. Sora figured Riku would tell him whenever he felt like it. Kairi notice the necklace around Sora's neck after the sunlight reflected off of it.

"Hey Sora, where'd you get that necklace?" she asked, curious about it since he wasn't wearing one when they arrived

Riku looked at Sora. He still had the necklace on. The necklace HE had given to him. It made him feel worse by seeing that necklace still on his neck. He felt horrible inside. Riku was about to tell Sora and seeing that choked his heart...

Riku didn't say anything. He just sat next to Namine on the sand.

Sora looked at the crown necklace and smiled "Riku found it when we were swimming and gave it to me" he said, answering Kairi's question. She returned the smile with a slight nod. "It really suites you" she said, neither of them noticing how Riku tensed up more and more as they continued talking about the necklace.

Riku sighed and stood. He helped Namine when she motioned to get up.

"Let's go home now." Riku suggested. He didn't feel well. He didn't want to be talking anymore, let alone with other people. Maybe they want to go home too. It WAS getting dark so...

Sora looked at Riku before glancing up at the sky. The first few stars were starting to show themselves as the sun slowly disappeared in the horizon. He didn't even notice that it was starting to get dark until Riku suggest that they go home. Sora nodded his head in agreement before standing up and wiping way as much sand he could off of his shorts before helping Kairi up.

"Time sure does fly by when your having fun, huh?" said Sora as he laughed cheerfully while making his way towards the boats. Today had been a pretty good day in his book.

Riku's gaze fell.

"Yeah."

He helped Namine into the boat and pushed it into the water. He got in after hern te to ahold of the ores. After, he shot an apologetic smile at her, he waved toSora once and then sailed off. As soon as they departed however, his smile fell.

Sora waved back at Riku, a silly grin adoring his face, before climbing into the boat with Kairi. With Namine and Riku, she noticed that the smile he had fell. "Riku, is something wrong?" she asked, wondering what was going through her friend's mind.

Riku buried his head in his hands and ran his fingers through his hair. He wanted to scream, really. But, he couldn't. Not here. Sora would surely hear.

"Nothing." Riku peered at her with one eye. He didn't want her to know. Actually, she already did know. He just smiled at her faintly and brought his gaze back to the sea.

"If you say so." But Namine knew that it involved Sora, but she didn't say anything. She knew that Riku just needed some time to understand what he was feeling. She heard Sora yell out something, but she didn't know what so she turned her head to looked over her shoulder.

Namine saw Sora's silhoutte pointing up at the sky before looking up herself. Her eyes widened a bit, as she saw multiple shooting stars fly across the sky. "Riku, look! Shooting stars!" she exclaimed.

Riku turned to Sora and saw him pointing at the sky. He looked up and his mouth parted slightly.

Shooting stars...

Riku always loved the stars. However, he never saw them moving across the sky. It was beautiful, completely and utterly beautiful. He couldn't help the small smile forming on his lips.

Sora was really excited; it had been a while since he last saw some shooting stars. Kairi smiled at her friend's childish behavior. Really, Sora could be such a little kid sometimes. "Sora! Don't stand up so fast, you might tip over the boat." she scolded, although Kairi really couldn't really blame him for his excitement. Shooting stars didn't really occur very often.

Riku stopped daydreaming and started to row the boat again. He looked over at Namine and smiled. She looked like she liked the stars too. The he peered over to Sora. He did also. It was good to know that they enjoyed the show as much as he did. However, he had business to do in a bit.

And it'd all start once he got Sora home.

Namine had a small smile on her face. She always did like watching the stars. Soon enough, they reached the docks of the main land. Riku had helped Namine step out of the boat while Sora did the same thing for Kairi. Sora had a big grin on his face. It was obvious that seeing the shooting stars made him even more cheerful.

Riku had offered to get a cab while they were near a street but the girls refused. He shrugged it off and try all walked home. They first arrived at Namin

"Night Kairi, Namine." said Sora as he gave each of the girls a hug and a wave good bye before he and Riku left. He was humming quietly, enjoying peaceful atmosphere surround the two teens. It had been a pretty good day, although it did hav a few bumps along the way, but Sora figured that everything turned out alright in the end.

Riku didn't know what to do. Sora seemed so happy. So carefree...

He couldn't help but intertwine their fingers. He didn't smile or look at Sora. He just held their hands like that as they walked toward the brunettes house.

Sora felt Riku take a hold of his hand and a small smile appeared on his face. The warm feeling he got every time the both of them touch always made his heart flutter with an unbelievable amount of joy. They arrived at Sora's house, although said brunette thought that they got there a bit too soon.

Riku stopped at Sora's doorstep. He let go of Sora's hand and brought it back to his side. He looked at sora and his eyes were full of happiness.

He knew he'd hurt him.

"Hey. Sora. We need to talk about some stuff."

Sora tilted his head to the side slightly, a look of confusion adorning his face. "Okay..." he said, although Sora was wondering what it was that Riku wanted to talk about. But he couldn't shake away the feeling that whatever it is Riku was going to say, it had something to do with their relationship with each other.
