Psp 2 and no umds.....again

Posted

My friend said there would be psp 2 coming. Yet, it delayed coz the pic of it leaked throughout the internet. As expected there are no umd slots. Wth!? It looked like a psp go except for the two concave shape thumbsticks :D and some new features i forgot. Oh yeah, the graphics are way better, they said equal to half of early ps3 games released. So....we must download and pay through psn. I think digital constribution is a total rip-off. Or is only me? Idk, but i think this psp 2 can't play psp games. It would be like games from ps 1 on ps 2.

Which are better? Umds or downloadable? 1 member has voted

Seriously, i like things that i can hold and exist in my HANDS.... Not just download it into the memory card. Oh good...now a lot of gamers now invest money in memory cards! What a crap.

I know I like letting my friends see my all of games.

I'm actually glad there are no UMDs anymore.

UMDs always annoyed me.

1. They are bulky to store in their cases.

2. If you take them out of the cases they get broken.

3. They made the PSP a lot bulkier than it needed to be

4. I have to go to the store and buy one.

Downloading games saves time and money. The games are 5 to 20% less because you don't pay for the disk.

The only downsides are people not buying large enough memory cards and people having slow internet. I doubt they will even use cards anymore, its probably going to be an internal hard drive.

Secondly, if they used UMDs the graphics would only be as good as the PSP graphics make the PSP2 a PSP Go with a extra thumbstick and two cameras. You can't store enough information on a UMD. You can store a lot on a Card or hard drive.

Whether you like it or not, anything that can be uploaded onto the internet will be sold via downloading. In 5 to 10 years you can expect DVDs and even blue-ray to go extinct.

I've owned the original first generation PSP since the week it came out (almost 4 years ago). I know what I am talking about. Half my UMDs are in terrible condition.

Well, before the ' everything is digital and no more disks anymore ' era, i prefer sticking to umds

there rumor it can play ps3 downloadable games which is pretty cool and take ps3 file and play it on psp

That's cool. i hope psp 2 is powerful enough though. Or i'm just gonna hack it like all my friends did with their psps.

I think it would be better to have the choice of both, but i prefer UMD's, but my friend uses downloadable games (no, not torrents, i think)

I like the having UMD's, it gives me a chance to kinda brag about having games, owning lots of downloadable games looks kinda, meh-ish....

You can still show them off by opening your memory card.

Plus with UMDs you can show off how many screwed up games you have too.
