Was that jealousy Riku saw? Maybe it was or maybe he just wished it was.

 

"Anything. As long as I'm with you, everything is interesting."

 

The waitress came by again, setting their plates on the table. "Enjoy your meal!"

 

"We won't get caught. Plus it'd be fun." Vanitas would love to see Xigbar's face when he realize someone stole Namine's phone back. He'd probably know who it was, but without evidence he wouldn't be able to do anything. His reaction would be priceless!

Riku was just making it too hard for Aqua to have a steady heart.

 

When they got their meals, Aqua toyed around with her fork. After an eternity of silence, she finally spoke. "Have you gotten an image of what you and your group are going to make?"

 

Namine looked around nervously. "It's not a matter of getting caught Vanitas! It's about breaking the rules..." She stopped swinging and looked at her feet. She held Vanitas' hand and looked at him apologetically.

 

"I just dont want to get you in trouble."

Demyx was finishing his coffee when he heard the familiar ring of his phone. He picked it up, to hear a very bad sounding redhead.

"Dem? Can you...take me to the hospital...?"

"I'm not really sure... I want to incorporate every aspect of art at it's finest, but I'm not sure how to pull off."

 

"Me? Get in trouble? If anything, I am trouble." Maybe that wasn't so reassuring. "I'll make sure we don't get caught. We can steal it back when we're fixing those stupid computers. I just need to think of a plan." Vanitas thought of someways he could distract Xigbar. Get him completely drunk? He didn't want to go off buying beer underaged. What else... Then he remembered how the asshole's eyes were always on a certain mulleted boy.

 

"Demyx could distract him for us!"

Namine looked away. Was it really okay to put Demyx's safety on the line like that? Namine had seen the signs. She had seen how Mr.Braig looked at him. But...then again, Demyx didnt seem to mind the way he looked at him. Namine got off the swing and sighed, looking at the ground. She wanted her phone back....Besides, Demyx could handle it, right?

 

"Alright. Well, we'll have to do it quick. Who knows what might happen with Demyx and Braig alone in one room..."

 

Aqua frowned and put a hand under her chin, obviously in deep thought at the moment. She smiled.

 

"Draw a whale!" she joked. "But....seriously, just do what you can. It can be hard. I know it can. So just do it to the best to your ability and I'm sure whatever you do, it'll be alright."

 

Yeah. Axel felt like complete and utter sh*t. He swallowed hard, trying to overcome the horrible feeling of nausea in his stomach. He was sweating because of his fever and the headache just followed with splitting pain. He had called Demyx earlier and wondered where the hell he was. Suddenly, he heard a knock at the door.

 

"It's open..." He managed. He saw Demyx in the doorway, silhouetted from the sun. Axel cringed and motioned him to close it.

 

"The light...close it." Demyx obeyed and shut the door. He walked over to him, sitting down next to his bed. He frowned, sad and worried over his friend.

 

"You look really bad." He heard Demyx say. Axel nodded. He tried to get out of bed since the boy had come to take him to the hospital. After Demyx helped him put on his shoes, Demyx got Axel's arm and wrapped it around his neck. Still holding it, he helped Axel walk to his Ferrari.

 

"Hospital, right?"

 

"Yeah."

 

((zomg drama.))

"They'll both thank us." He slyly grinned. That Xigbar was a pedophile after all.

 

 

 

"Well if I can't come up with anything I'll else we'll just go with that whale idea." He tried to say that seriously, while taking a bite of his food but couldn't help smirking.

Namine held Vanitas' hand and smiled. He was being devious, of course. But he was still being sweet... It warmed her heart....

She was so moved that she embraced him and held him tight.

 

"Thank you."

 

Aqua just laughed. A whale? Imangine that.

 

A while passed and Aqua was almost done with her plate. She saw that time had passed fairly quickly with Riku...She quickly motioned for the waitress to come over to the table. As she approached, Aqua pulled out her purse.

Here was Vanitas, plotting something devious, something that could get them both in major trouble maybe expelled and Namine was thanking him? That was what he least expected!

 

He expected her to talk him out of it and then still do it anyway and get a thanks afterwards.

 

"No problem."

 

Riku frowned.

 

"I'll pay. I invited you." He started getting out his wallet. Hopefully he had enough to pay. It would leave him broke but that didn't matter.

Namine stopped hugging Vanitas and slid her hands off of him. However, she still held his pinky with hers. She led him to the car and smiled lightly. "We have to get back to school. Lunch is almost over.."

 

Aqua frowned. She was at least going to pay for half. Aqua set down half of the bill. Before Riku had time to argue, she got up and walked to the car, a smile on her face.

 

"Lets go Riku."

 

As Axel was being taken care of in his room at the hospital, Demyx was beside him. He waved the phone once and Axel nodded. He felt his eyes getting heavy...

 

Before he fell asleep, he heard Demyx say, "Hey, Roxas. Gotta tell ya somethin'."

Stupid school. Vanitas wanted to burn it to the ground. He sighed.

 

"Yeah we probably should." Then mostly jokingly added, "Unless you wanna skip?"

 

God she was difficult. Riku was fine with paying but before he could give her back the money, she had gotten up and headed for the door.

Riku paid the rest, no tip, and then rushed to catch up with her, seeing as she was leaving him behind.

 

What? What?! Axel, in the hospital?!

 

Dammit! Roxas knew he should've stayed! He hung up on Demyx with not even a goodbye.

 

He panicked, immediately ran to his car. Screw class, he needed to make sure Axel was okay.

Namine scoffed and smiled as she punched Vanitas playfully on the arm. "Quiet, you." She laughed and kissed him on the cheek.

 

Aqua walked outside and looked behind her. Riku was walking towards her and she smiled. "Hey, Riku! Hurry up, will you?"

 

Axel woke up in his room and looked around. His vision was still blurry so he only saw a blue fuzz sitting on a chair. Demyx of course. He must've been asleep for some time, considering Demyx was asleep as well.

 

He slumped in his bed and hoped a special someone would visit him..
