There be Toy Story rumors up in them thar hills! Could it be that the upcoming short film based on the mega-successful series will actually star Ken and Barbie rather than Buzz and Woody?

 

That's the rumor du jour according to Bleeding Cool. They picked up on a tweet from Disney veteran and occasional Pixar story artist Floyd Norman, who said the following:

 

"Saw the Pixar 'Hawaii' short. Cute. Ken and Barbie want to go to Hawaii. I don't know what it's gonna be attached to. Fun stuff, however."

 

Despite Norman's saying he doesn't know what the short will be attached to, the general assumption is that it will run with Cars 2 when it is released this coming summer. IGN hit up Disney's reps to ask them if that indeed will be the case. Their response? "[We] just checked with Pixar and they are not making any comments at this time or confirming nor denying [the report]."

 

So we'll just have to wait and see

Well. Toy Story 3 had a good ending. I wouldn't want a Buzz and Woody short, but a Ken and Barbie short sounds alright.

I am Harry.I like Toy story movie very much.In all of this Toy story 3 is great movie to watch.This is very funny movie to watch.In this movie woody has gone out from house and other toys are try to back him in house.They are going in toy store to find Buzz lightyear but they cant find real.Because there are lots of buzz in the store.This is very funny scene to see.Thanks

Id like the idea of a a Buzz & Woody short but I was quite satisfied with how Pixar ended their stories in Toy Story so theres no real need to tell more but if its a cute innocenct story i'll like but if it is a Barbie/Ken thing I'll be happy all the same

Meh, a short about two characters that had a couple of funny moments in the film. Two characters that I don't think deserve a short.

 

WHERE'S BO PEEP HUH?! WHAT ABOUT WEEZEY?! OR RC?!

These characters are the ones that deserve shorts about their lives between TS2 and 3. They were just written out, WTH?! Bo peep was Woody's poon tang, ya know? She was his bit, and they just wrote her out. Weezey is the reason TS2 happened technically, and RC, well, RC saved Woody and Buzz in TS1.

 

Barbie and Ken don't deserve S"OMG"T
