This palace was way too big...

 

"Namine! Namine, where are you?"

 

Princess Aqua was walking down the stairs in her slim blue dress. Her silver heels clacked on contact with the floor. Her sister, Princess Namine, was missing again.

 

She was always missing.

 

Ever since their mother and father died, pressure has been placed on the princesses, urging them to become queens. That's why Namine isolated herself. However, Aqua didn't want that for her nor her sister. She thought it was too much of a responsibility for them.

 

She walked outside to the enormous rose garden, dismissing guards that approached her. That was when she saw her sister. She was sitting on the fountain edge, playing with a white rose.

 

Namine looked up at her sister. Her eyes were sad, as they've always been.

 

"Hey Aqua." was all she could say. She went back to swaying the rose in the water, watching the beauty of it. This was her passtime. This was her sanctuary. This is where he went when she sought out peace and serenity.

 

She'd hear it all over again. Her sister getting mad because she was outside and not indoors, urging her inside. But she didn't mind hearing it. She just blocked all sounds out.

 

She wanted to be at peace.

It was almost time. Xigbar had been waiting for this day, the day he and his crew would raid the castle and steal the princesses away. He ignored his crew mates when they said the plan was cliche. It was either that, or go back onto the seas with no food, no money, and no other resources. Not agreeing with the latter option, they decided to go along with their captain's idea.

 

Their plan was to kidnap the princesses

Riku was on the stern deck. Or what most people called it, the poop deck. Why they still called it that, Riku would never know. It sounded completely idiotic and immature.

 

He wasn't doing much. Except for being maybe lazy. But what pirate wasn't lazy? Maybe he, as the First Mate, should've been doing something. Especially with the raid taking place that day. Money would be good to have. But Riku didn't understand why they had to go to the trouble of kidnapping the princesses. Couldn't they just rob the place and leave? He didn't like the idea of having a few more mouths to feed.

 

But Captain Xigbar had planned this for awhile. They wouldn't get caught obviously. Their crew wasn't consisted of idiots thankfully. But kidnapping the princesses still felt like unnecessary work.

 

But who was Riku to argue? Whatever the Captain has the final word.

 

Demyx looked through his closet patiently, looking for something to wear. He scowled catching a glimpse at the trousers thrown in the back of the grand closet. He hadn't touched that in what seemed ages.

 

No one really approved of his choice. To cross-dress that is.T hey preferred his sisters over him because of that, seeing them more suitable to rule instead of him, even though being the oldest and only son mean he should be the next King. But he made them tolerate his choice in clothing. He was the prince of the palace and he would get to do whatever the hell he wanted!

 

Sure, public events he was forced to wear 'appropriate' attire. Parties and things like that... he spent hours in the uncomfortable clothing! A time or two he tried to get his way again but it wouldn't cut it. They didn't want the commoners getting the wrong idea, even though many already knew of his odd hobby.

 

Most of his dresses belonged to his older sister. Of course, he just took them, not really asking, but thinking she wouldn't mind. They fit him fine. He had some that were his own and only his but a majority were 'borrowed' from Aqua.

 

He eventually picked a purple dress, one of his own, and proceded to put it on. A bit of makeup - also taken from his sisters - and he fixed his hair a bit.

 

He looked into the mirror, his smile turning into yet another childish scowl.

 

He wished he would've been born a girl. It was terrible being the only boy.

Aqua frowned as she looked at Namine. She looked so sad and lonely. Aqua wondered what she could do to make her sister feel better.

 

"I know what. C'mon. Take a bath first. Then, go to my room."

 

She knew what Namine'd love. Aqua would sit there and comb Namine's most prized posession. Her blonde hair. It wasn't long, nor short. But just right. In any case, Namine lived it and never let anyone but herself and Aqua touch her hair.

 

Namine couldn't help but smile. Her sister knew her so well. She knew what her sister had planned. She'd take a bath, dress into her pajamas, and Aqua would start to comb her hair. She loved that. They did it since they were children and it reminded Namine of how close they were.

 

"Alright, Aqua. You win."
