This twilight path that I seek,

For you and for me,

It's not as steep as you think,

And it's a good place for us to be.

It embraces what was lost,

Those that forsake the dark at all cost,

Those that the light rejects a lot,

And those that just want to show what they've got.

When people are born,

They don't choose to be at war,

Their feelings come from the core,

But still there's a destiny that they bear.

You came from the darkness,

Always edgy and fateless,

The monster was out,

And you couldn't change its route.

I came from the light,

Always bright and light like a kite,

But my monster pushed into the dark,

Where the hell hounds always bark.

When I first met you,

I knew what was my mission,

To pull you out of the dark,

And for that I didn't need a petition.

You said that you need the dark,

It gives you everything you need,

But I proved you wrong,

Saying it could take me back.

I told you to hold my hand,

And to never let go,

Because if you gave it a shot,

You would see its true glow.

I took you to this twilight,

For us to be together,

I told you it wouldn't bite,

And that we would be here forever.

 

(sorry if it's not good enough I was kind of smoking chocolate (chocolate cigarettes not real ones) so it's not a perfect master piece)

I wish I could be as good of a poet as you. You express your feelings well.
