Nintendo President and CEO Saruto Iwata today unveiled Super Mario 3DS for the first time.

 

"Since 1996, when Mario appeared in 3D in Super Mario 64, it's always been hard for players to judge how to jump and hit a block floating in a 3D space," Iwata said. "Miyamoto said to me, 'Finally the day has come when we can solve this.'"

 

Super Mario 3DS is under development by the Super Mario Galaxy team. A tail can been seen on the game's temporary logo, perhaps taking a cue from Super Mario Bros. 3, which may see Mario return with the famed Tanooki suit.

 

Nintendo is planning to reveal more about Super Mario 3DS at E3 2011 this coming June.

People knew this game was going to come out and wait until e3 to find out more but it should be good game

i agree.There's no game at 3ds launch that i want to buy but there are some interesed titles afterwards

yeah, also there is a game by team meat (creators of super meat boy) who are going to be making a 3DS game. but i thing, knowing how they work quite well, that a port will come to the PC, so i won't be alone for that.

 

but yeah, the 3DS initial line-up is awful. worst launch titles for any game device i've ever seen.

Ps3 had pretty bad launch but the Ps3 did have restiance which is one of best ps3 games.
