Shizuo turned to Face him, eyes narrowed. How could he tell him his dream?! He'd surely laugh and throw his idiocy for worrying back into his face. Because that's just the way Izaya was. Yet he decided to give it a win anyway (but refusing to meet Izaya's eyes). He explained the tree and the scenery changes he saw and the visions of the death and accidents he witness happen. Shizuo, by the end of explaining, was bright, Bright red, and expecting ridiculed like crazy.

Izaya, noticing the color of Shizuo's face, held back the strong urge to chuckle. He had easily interpreted the dream, noticing how much symbolism it had used. He pointed to himself a bit shyly. "The tree was actually supposed to be me, right? In other words, I was supposed to be temptation," He thought for a moment. He really seemed to over-dramatize Izaya's own creepiness with all those weird phrases though. But then something occurred to him... "But by 'temptation,' what exactly does that mean? You seemed to be suppressing your hate for me just a little bit during those dreams, until, y'know, the whole death scene started."

Shizuo thought carefully for a moment, feeling the blush creep back up onto his cheeks. He had hoped that question wouldn't come. At first he had thought temptation was killing Izaya. But he was getting this strong suspicion that meant otherwise. Like, he was physically attractive or something. Which, as Shizuo's eyes roamed over Izaya's legs he couldn't lie. Izaya was pretty damn good looking.

As a result, Shizuo rolled over, blushing darkly in response to Izaya's question, shaking slightly. "I dunno', I'm not a genius..."

  • Author
"Hey, avoiding the question like that doesn't help at all." he narrowed his eyes, poking Shizuo's shoulder repeatedly until he came up with the only valid conclusion he could think of. He blinked, letting a smirk make its way onto his lips, crossing his arms over Shizuo's shoulder (and partially his arm) and laying his head in them lazily. "Oh, I get it... The 'temptation' in your dream must have meant that you wanted me... How dirty~"

"Th-that's--!" Shizuo blushed even darker in that response, shoulders shaking slighty, especially with Izaya drapednover him like that. Usually the kind of had an unspoken rule. Now real physical contact. Punching was fine and so was touching foreheads as they threatened each other. But what Izaya was doing....Shizuo just wasn't used to it.

"Get your head out of the gutter! No way would I want you!"

  • Author
Izaya rolled his eyes at that, clearly prideful in that realization. Which, because of that reaction, he could confirm was correct. "I'm serious. But," Seeing that Shizuo was uncomfortable, he got off of him and swung his feet a bit. "you seemed to mininterpret the way I said 'wanted'. No matter, whether you want me or not, apparently you find me 'tempting' in some way."

Shizuo exhaled heavily, face turning beat red as Izaya continued to push his luck. He wouldn't admit it. He didn't want him. There was no way in hell he would ever consider feeling attracted to him in that way. No...no definitely not. Shizuo calmed his erratic breathing and flicked a side glance at the male coldly, gripping the sheets tightly.

"What makes you think I want you? It's not like my dream was portraying any inner feelings other than fear or something."

  • Author
"Shizu-chan is so uneducated," Izaya remarked with a low chuckle. "Dreams are meant to portray hidden or denied feelings. And to add onto that, dreams are also subconscious desires." He said matter-of-factly, feeling the shift in the blankets from Shizuo's death grip. "And the way you're gripping the blankets like that is because you're being put in a stressful situation... Because I'm right, ne, Shizu-chan?"

FUUUUU- He knows!!!!

.

.

.

Shizuo's grip was off the sheets as if the material were made of acid to melt his skin and he gave a sharp inhale of breath. He couldn't be right. He couldn't be. Why...how could he be tempted towards his enemy Izaya of all people? He wasn't anything remotely special to him aside from being his enemy that he made it a point to see...every...day. Oh God....

"And what if you are right? Then what? Does it even matter?"

  • Author
Izaya shrugged, hopping off of Shizuo's bed and back onto the futon, crawling back into a comfortable position. "Well, if you had felt that way about me, I would've felt more at ease if you had told me," He didn't exactly know the answer himself. He improvised with that a little bit... Maybe he just liked being right? "It makes me feel kinda left out~" He added, almost jokingly. He didn't want it to seem like he cared too much. "I guess we can get some sleep now, hm?"

Shizuo frowned, a bit disappointed that Izaya had left his side. He kinda...liked having someone next to him. Made him feel a bit more...human-like you know? Like it made him more wanted. Shizuo bit his lip, looking to the side awkwardly, searching for an excuse to get Izaya back in the bed, promptly ignoring his comments.

"...You know...that futon is a bit uncomfortable and...this IS a king sized bed...." He trailed off, hoping Izaya would catch his drift.

  • Author
Izaya blinked, getting where this was going. He rolled his eyes with a small smile. I guess I can humor him... He climbed back onto the bigger bed with Shizuo, crossing his legs comfortably. He draped an arm over his stomach, nuzzling into the pillow behind him. "Shizu-chan is being generous again,"

Shizuo felt his abdomen tense up as Izaya's arm draped over it but soon relaxed--happy with the contact. He the feeling of Izaya...as odd as that sounded. Cautiously, he turned over to face the male, draping an arm gently over his shoulders and glancing his eyes away from the others. Meeting Izaya's gaze would be humiliating.

"Sh-shut up."

  • Author
He liked the sudden warmth around him, nuzzling into his chest a bit. "Okay," He said simply. He liked this, although that...wasn't like him at all. Normally, he'd be repulsed by doing something like this. But for now, he figured... He should just enjoy it for what it is.

Shizuo was surprised by Izaya nuzzling into his chest but allowed a small smile once Izaya's head was angled downward. He...liked this. He liked the feeling of Izaya next to him. So he got confident and held him a bit closer, being careful to not hurt him or arm him in anyway. He wouldn't want to ruin the moment.

When the next morning awoke, Shizuo was unaware of what position he had transpired into throughout the night. One hand was lingering around Izaya's bare middle (his sHirt had ridden up) and the other behind Izaya's head to hold him close as he nuzzled the silky strands of hair. Their legs were intertwined almost as if they had been in the aftermath of a heated night. But Shizuo didn't realize this right away as he blearily opened his eyes.

"Hn?"

  • Author
"Mm," Izaya felt Shizuo shift and clung tighter, wrapping his arms around Shizuo's middle. He wanted to sleep, dammit. He didn't seem to have the intention of waking up either, his position comfortable and... Warm. He hoped it didn't show too much...

Shizuo blinked, his mind clearing through the fuzzy morning haze. He was smart enough to realize that Izaya was the one snuggled up against him like they fit together. Two halves of a whole. Wait...what?! Shizuo jerked slightly, still holding onto Izaya, so it kinda looked like he had a violent hiccup or something. How had he managed to control his anger with Izaya? Then again, how had he managed to have him in his house?

Shizuo nudged Izaya on the waist, talking gently into his hair, inhaling his scent of fresh vanilla happily.

"Hey...flea?" As he attnepted to wake Izaya it was then he noticed how...close they were.

  • Author
Izaya gave a small 'nn' as he blinked his eyes open, noticing where he was and how physical it was. He didn't seem to mind, though, as he slipped the arms around his middle up to his shoulders. "Ohayou ne, Shizuo-kun," (Good Morning, Shizuo.)

Shizuo felt a chill creep up his spine, goosebumps ghosting across his skin. Since when had Izaya been so...so touchy-feely with him. And, Shizuo-kun? That was new. He blinked, feeling heat flush his face. This was...slightly embarrassing.

"Ah...good morning to you to...Izaya." Shizuo murmured, eyes half-lidded as he looked down at the male. He had really messy bed head and he carefully moved his shirt up (it had been slipping of off Izaya's shoulders).

  • Author
"Hm~?" He laughed lightly, going back to snuggling Shizuo. "I think that's the first time you've said my name without being angry~" He said softly, wanting to go back to sleep. He was one to talk; he's never called Shizuo by his real name since High School...

"Funny, you haven't said my full name period. I was beginning to think you forgot my name..." Shizuo chuckled, absentmindedly stroking the onyx haired teen's hair before realizing what he was doing and stopping. They were still enemies...but it didn't feel like it. It felt like they were a...No.

No,

No,

No,

No!

That's was--he couldn't be thinking like that!

  • Author

"How could I forget my Shizu-chan's name?" He chuckled, noticing how Shizuo had actually begun playing with his hair for a split second. "I could say it more if you want..." Izaya suggested, smiling up at him a bit awkwardly. Did he really just say that after all they've been through?

((Note: If I leave suddenly, it's because I needed to iron my hair, but I should be back within 15-20 minutes if I do leave.))

Shizuo felt his brain power sputter as he was left speechless, if only momentarily. Had Izaya really just said that? Since when had this become something of a friendship? Since you let him sleep in your house, stupid! Boy wasn't that a fact...The blond flicked his gaze around before landing on the ceiling and giving a stiff nod. Just something about the way his full name rolled off Izaya's tongue made it sound all the more better.

"I...yes. I'd appreciate that I guess. I'll stop calling you a flea in return. Or, attempt to anyway. No promises."

  • Author
"Neee," He whined, poking his cheek gently, trying to catch his attention. "Why won't you look at me~?" He had noticed that he refused to look at him; as if it were a nervous habit of his or something. He hadn't looked at him often during his stay here, and when he did, it was either because he was trying to make a point, or because he was arguing.

"Because I look at you enough as it is," He paused, realizing how sharp and probably mean that sounded. He wasn't...he didn't want to be mean to Izaya, not this early in the morning. Frankly, if Izaya would promise that the two of then would be like this forever he'd never yell a single word at the male ever again. Or, he'd try not to. So he quickly corrected himself. "I-I meant that I always have my attention on you, I thought you'd get tired of it."

It was only AFTER Shizuo said that that he realized how creepy that made him sound. Honestly, it gave the impression that he was a stalker of some type or that he fantasized over Izaya...
