Splendid smiled contently even though Flippy was recording several messages at once now, though from two different people being two different ringtones were going off now at this point. He chuckled, giving a sympathetic smile.

"Popular today?"

~

Giggles' fingers flew across the keyboard of her phone, her mind reeling as she texted Flippy hastily. After recieving a text from Petunia that sounded really concerned.

Where the hell are you Flippy?! We have some serious issues to discuss!

  • Author

Flippy smirked triumphantly. "Popular everyday," he retorted, replying to his texts although he didn't completely ignore Splendid, who was still lovingly holding his hand.

Like what? Can't we just discuss it through texts?

He closed his phone with a sigh of irritance as he looked over at Splendid. "Damn girls need to leave me alone..."

Splendid scoffed, shaking his head.

"They're girls, what do you expect?" He nudged Flippy in the ribs, grinning with a slight wink. Honestly, Flippy should know better. They were the best looking guys in the school. Even if they didn't like them girls always found an excuse to talk to them. "When you look like us how can girls not wanna talk to us?"

~

Giggles glowered, narrowing her light pink eyes in disgust. She'd rather attempt ripping his head off in person but Text would have to do.

I heard from a little sugar-high birdie in the halls that you exchanged numbers with Flaky and you're going to her house?! Is this true?!

  • Author

Flippy laughed at the comment, realizing just how right he was. They were pretty damn hot. Conceited. Despite that, they were attracted to each other, which strangely made sense. Flippy stopped walking as he read Giggles's text, sighing heavily. Nutty had told her... Even if he hadn't meant it, he did. Great. Just great... Flippy reminded himself to strangle Nutty later.

"Giggles knows I'm talking to Flaky," Flippy sighed, sliding down the lockers in irritance. "Man..."

Yeah. What's the problem?

((He better not actual strangle him xD))

Splendid made a small seething noise, shaking his head. Ouch. That couldn't be good for Flippy, especially not with the bitch fits the pinkette has been throwing recently. And how would she have found out? He highly doubted Flaky was going around telling anybody...

"Thaaat sucks. She's gonna' be on your ass about that now..."

~

The problem is she's not one of us. I can't believe you're going to that slut's house! I can understand rehearsing, like, whatever. But meeting up with her? What's going through your head?

  • Author

Flippy sighed again, flipping through his texts. "Yeah... I know," he said, pulling Splendid down next to him so he could sit in his lap. He leaned back into Splendid's chest snugly, pulling what he called the "Toothy tactic" on Giggles. The plan? Just act like he doesn't care. Which, quite frankly, he didn't. That, and it's really firetruckin' funny to watch Giggles get mad.

Lol why U mad tho? Sippin' on that hater-ade because Flaky is nicer than you?

Splendid smiled, wrapping his arms around Flippy's waist, resting his chin on his shoulder. He kissed Flippy's cheek softly, perfectly content and laughing softly to himself when he read Flippy's text to Giggles.

"She's going to be so mad at you for that." Splendid snickered, shaking his head slightly.

~

Giggles would have chucked the phone out the school window had it not been the fact that she was indeed in school.

I'm not mad! I'm simply irritated. I swear, one more wrong move Flippy and you're out of here. Permanently. And I'll make sure Splendid's life becomes a Living Hell.

  • Author

Flippy scoffed jokingly, beginning to compose his reply back. "Not even caring at this point." He said, momentarily horrified at Giggles reply before simply brushing it off. If he heard or saw Giggles doing anything bad to Splendid, he wouldn't be afraid to kick her ass. So what if she's a girl and it's illegal to hit a girl if you're a boy? No one enforces that law anyways. He glanced over at Splendid, just to see if he was watching him type.

Ooh, what're you gonna do? Scratch me with your press-on nails? I'm so firetrucking scared. If you want me gone so badly, then come at me, bro. Oh, and by the way, if you so much as glance at him the wrong way, I'll rip your head clean off your shoulders

It was a really good thing that Splendid had been busting himself with looking up and down the halls and not reading Flippy's texts and whatnot. If he had been he may of been a bit shocked and slightly flattered by what Flippy had said in return to Giggles. Most of all though, he would have been more than a little frightened. He knew Flippy well enough to know he was capable of almost anything. Anything. But he'd never go that far--that was something Splendid knew for a fact.

"Pfft, figured as much. I guess you're not really bothered by her games."

~

That silenced Giggles as she paused, her thumbs quivering over the ready to press keys. She hadn't expected that from Flippy. Not at all. He'd never do such a thing but even still. She knew with his hidden strength and brutality he probably could. For once, she though it wise to back out just slightly.

I....sorry. But don't expect me to forget your hanging out with Flaky. And my nails aren't press on asshole. They're actually real!

  • Author

"Nope." Flippy followed it up with a quick kiss on the cheek, feeling a bit generous at the moment. What with not caring about Giggles, getting Flaky's number and having amazing sex outside of a school without getting caught, he was feeling pretty badass. He almost wanted to ignore her last text as he snuggled up to Splendid's collar, smiling in contentment. But, to get her scared enough to fully back down, he had to reply.

Okay. Sure. They're real. Just like how your brain is real. Which, apparently it isn't, considering that last sentence was worded improperly, making it sound awfully redundant. Learn how to use grammar and solid arguments when you text or speak to me.

Flippy shut his phone once again, hoping that she'd just stop talking to her. If the universe was fair in any way, shape, or form, then she'd just drop dead right then and there. But, knowing her, and the stupid universe, that wouldn't happen.

Splendid snuggled right back with Flippy feeling comfortable with him in his arms and fitting perfectly up against his body. It just felt so right to have him there in his lap and holding his hand which were evenly matched to fit each other's spaces between their fingers flawlessly. If Splendid was one for fiction it would be quite the fact to say that this felt completely and entirely like magic. The stuff that only happened in those cheap Disney fairytails.

"Well wasn't that a bit mean. That would have been funny though if you actually messed up your own wording of the text while lecturing her." Splendid admitted, laughing softly.

~

Giggles fell silent. She really didn't have a response to that, mostly because of how horribly that insulted her. She had a brain. If she didn't how would it be even plausible for her to have B's so far in her classes and a few A's last year? She didn't study--that was a little much for Giggles when she could be doing something more entertaining like reading GL or painting her nails. So with an irritated sigh she snapped her phone shut, tuning back in half-heartfelt to class and her day-dreams. Flippy wasn't worth the effort right now. At least that's what she told herself.

Flippy couldn't agree more as he turned himself around, sitting more properly in his lap. He didn't get a text back, so he just assumed that Giggled had had enough... Which was a good thing. At least she'd leave him alone now. "'Lecturing'? That's a bit of an overstatement, don't you think?" Flippy laughed a bit, thinking back to his text. It wasn't really a lecture if it was only four sentences.

Ignoring how picky he was with the mechanics of English, he rested his chin on Splendid's shoulder, his lips facing his ear as he spoke. "You're still gonna come over later, right?" Although it hadn't been confirmed, he knew that Splendid would still want to make room for him.

((I started writing our RP into a story :D I got a page front and back done xD))

Splendid blushed slightly from the unintentional hot breath blown into his ear but smiled anyway, wrapping his arms loosely around Flippy's waist, kissing the temple of his forehead sweetly. As he did that he got a slight whiff of Flippy's scent--vanilla with a hint of mint. He nuzzled his nose into the green tresses, looking at the wall across from them. He recognized the mural painted onto it as work from the Art Class he, Nutty, and Petunia had been in. Wasn't that a laugh.

"Of course I will, when you get back from Flaky's house anyway." He said calmly, his usual happy lilt in his voice.

Flippy responded by blushing a bit, holding him back with an 'mm' sound. He was internally a bit nervous, though equally as excited. He worried that he'd rush the rehearsal with Flaky just to get to Splendid... But he hardly had to rush. They'd have all the time they wanted to talk and stuff, especially with Flippy's mother away on a business trip. He sighed lovingly into his skin, muttering a low 'okay'. If Flippy had the choice of staying in this position forever, he'd gladly take it.

"I love you,"

Splendid smile sweetly, holding Flippy close as he moved closer to him and muttered those three little words that made Splendid's heart skip a few beats and then swell in happiness. He was overjoyed and had a feeling he would be with every time Flippy said that to him.

"I love you to." Just as he sai that the warning bell rang, signifying the switch to the next period in just a few minutes. As he looke up at the clock he realized they had been siting through 6th period. Whoops. At least now they only had one period left of school before it finally ended. For Splendid anyway. Most students actually had 8th period but because he was active in sports that was defaulted out. Otherwise last period would have been his elective. "We should get our stuff and try to blend in or something..." The blueberry suggested, leaning back against the wall slightly.

Flippy separated from Splendid momentarily, slipping himself off of the bluenette easily. "Okay. Come with me to my locker?" Flippy beckoned him over, holding out his hand to him and offering to help him up. His locker wasn't far from where they were sitting, so it wouldn't be a long trip at all, and he had to have an excuse to kiss him in the hallways, or at least in front of Petunia. Just so he could let her know. As the other kids flooded in, Flippy tried not to get lost in the crowd... Or at least not more than three feet away from Splendid.

Splendid nodded his head even if Flippy should have known it'd be an automatic agreement for him to follow the younger junior wherever he asked. There was no words for him to really speak. If Flippy asked him to do something then he would do it no matter what it was. Whether it be he was asked to follow him across the world or help him pull a silly prank, Splendid knew he'd always be there for Flippy.

A the halls crowded, he held Flippy's hand tightly, keeping close to him as they came to his locker. His was only a few away so he knew he wouldn't miss the bell or anything for 7th period.

"So what time do you want to come over at?" The bluenette asked, leaning against the locker banks that were currently unoccupied.

Flippy guestimated what time he'd be finished over at Flaky's. He shrugged, filling up his bag with the books he had abandoned earlier. "Probably around five if that's okay," He shut his locker, his padlock closing with a satisfying 'click'. He smiled over at Splendid, kissing his lips softly. "I can't guarantee that'll be the exact time, though." He muttered, slinging his bag over his shoulder once more.

((Sorry I didn't answer if you called. I was getting some delicious water ice xD))

Splendid shrugged, kissing the top of Flippy's head with a sound of content, tilting his head slightly. He didn't mind if he came not exactly as he said he would. People make mistakes and this play is a grade and a performance. He probably wants to be amazing, or somewhat decent, as to not embarrass himself.

"Come at whatever time you can, it's really not a big deal as long as you show up." Splendid stated, moving a few lockers down, kicking it open and grabbing his books. He had, what, Math? Or was it History? He couldn't remember for the life of him so hegrabbe whichever sounded right and came back to Flippy, pulling him away back towards their classes. "And once you get to my house we can go to yours or stay at mine--whichever you're in the mood for."

  • Author

Flippy realized that his class wasn't near Splendid's, so he gave him a parting embrace, getting a few stares from passerbys. "I'll see you then. I have to go, so I'll definitely see you later," He kissed his cheek quickly before heading off, no time to really get into 'I love you's and stuff like that. He was off to his next class, which he totally forgot what it was. He knew where the room was at least, and that's where he was headed.

((Time skip?))

((After The Bus-Ride~))

Flaky sighed as she stretched downward, her fingertips brushing against the tips of her toes as she straightened her leg, inhaling deeply and relaxing the muscles. For once she was serene as she bent her arms back smmothly. As the music swelled she gave a graceful twirl, balancing delicately on the tips of her toes as she balanced back and forth between her heel as her arms held in front of her waist as if she was lowly cradling a baby. Flaky was well aware Flippy would be coming over today but she figured she had time to get a bit of practice in while she lingered in her spacious room.

Her red hair was pulled up in a tight bun, not nearly as elegant as the ones seen in those magical ballet recitals, but still tight and perfect. For once her hair wasn't messy and out there--her face was clear. There wasn't even a need for the clips. The lyrics soothed the growing piano music from her iHome as she bowed and then spung into a tightly done pirouette and down to a bow, her fingers and arms making dramatic yet subtle movements that added on the to intricate routine. This is what she loved the most, Flaky decided--a true smile on her lips.

Flippy took out his phone, his thumbs over the buttons as he texted Flaky. He sat on the edge of the sidewalk outside his home, alone. His mother was out on that trip, the neighbors to his left were on vacation in Maui, the one to the right had just died of a heart attack, and the ones across the street had moved away a month ago, leaving the house completely barren. And yet there he was; alone, outside his house, texting. He could do anything he wanted, and be as loud ad he pleased, and no one would hear a thing. But he couldn't. He wasn't in the mood for being loud. Not until maybe Splendid would come over. That's when he'd blast music/movies, run down the many flights if stairs in his house, etc.

Hey. Are you ready?

((And that's also when he and Splendid can be as load as they want doing...other things.))

Flaky stumbled slightly as she began her butterfly steps as her phone's text ringtones went off. Pausing her music to look at it she flushed realizing it was Flippy. Was she ready? She glanced around. All of her stuff was out and she had to undress from her ballet flats, leg warmers, suit...And yet she still typed back.

Yep, I'm all set to go. Come whenever.

It was then after sending that message she promptly threw the phone out of her fingers, furiously undoing her flats and tossing them with as much care as she could manage into the showbox which was stuffed into the closet. She stripped down and back into her school wear, throwing her gear into the depths of her drawers before jumping to the bathroom, yanking her hair out of it's skillful bun. The red tresses scattered back into her face like usual and she hastily applied the clips, forgetting about the soft touches of make-up she had been wearing in her hurry.

"Oh God, Oh God I'm so stupid. Would if he had just shown up? I'd be in so much trouble." She mumbled incoherently to herself, her eyes glancing worriedly out the window and at the clock.

((Yep. ;D))

Pleased, Flippy stood from his sitting place on the sidewalk, beginning to walk to Flaky's place. He had known the directions by heart from looking out the window and registering which stops were which on the bus... He knew where a lot of people lived, which was frightening, to say the least. Okay, I'm on my way over with the script. He didn't expect a reply back, but thought she should know anyhow.

It was such a nice day out... It had cooled down since the afternoon, the sun's heat lowering to fit the essence of the evening. Flippy noticed that, although the sun's rays were still a bit strong, he could see the moon already. (The waxing crescent, apparently.) He gazed up at the cloudless sky as he made his way there, taking a deep inhale of the nostalgic scent of humidity he knew all too well from living in Happy Tree all his life.

Finally she was finished, all the grace and precision gone from her now klutzy and paranoid personality. That was how it was supposed to be. She went into the kitchen cupboard and pulled out some cookies--tossing them on a plate to snack on later--and sat on the maroon sofa twiddling her thumbs. She was really nervous about having someone over and a boy nonetheless. Especially when it was Flippy of all people. It was any girl's dream but really, it was currently Flaky's biggest regret.

What if my house is ugly? What if he isn't comfortable? What if the cookies went bad? What if it smells?! Oh the worries and fears that chose now to affect te red-head.
