It wasn't long until Flippy arrived at his destination, the thick packet under his arm as he knocked politely, making sure she was ready enough. Had it been someone he knew more, he would've let himself in, but this wasn't the appropriate time to do that. Surprisingly, he was very chivalrous towards females... Even Giggles at times, though not often.

He let out a slight sigh, making sure he had everything with him. Keys? Check. Script? Duh, check. A smile? ...Check. Cell phone? Check... was that all he needed? Certain he was overthinking things, he silenced the somewhat nervous thoughts he had and relaxed... He was only going to practice a bit, then call Splendid, meet up with him, and do whatever he wanted.

((Oh yes, whatever they want xD))

Flaky jumped but took a deep breath, calming herself as best as she could before standing up and opening the door to her house. She was so happy to see Flippy there, smiling slightly and waiting all politely and patiently. How nice. At least he wasn't rude or brash about anything.

"H-Hey, come on in." She welcomed, lowering her head as she opened the door wider and stepped aside to let Flippy in. Everything was spotless right? Nothing out of place? Good, good...Flaky mentally sighed. God she sounded like Petunia.

Flippy nodded at her, walking in cautiously. He had no clue why he was so anxious about entering a girl's house... Perhaps it was because he didn't do that often unless there was a party of some sort. He noticed with a quirk of his eyebrows that her place was spotless... Almost immaculate. He could tell that there was a lavender-scented air freshener somewhere, mixed in with the faint scent of 'new furniture'. He was impressed.

"Whoa... You sure do keep this place clean," He mused with a light chuckle through his words. He unintentionally let his irresistable charm show through his sentence, his forest green eyes sparkling with content.

Flaky blushed softly, giving a small, barely noticeable smile. It was true--she often cleaned just fir fun and when she cleaned she was serious about it. She always did the dished and put them away, vacummed every day, and even reorganized the magazines when she was ultra bored. What could she say? The red head was bored sometimes and she only had so much to do.

"Th-Thanks?" She said quietly, moving carefully next to him (or as close next to him as she could manage. "I...I just have a lot of rime on my hands I guess." Flaky shook her head, moving to go sit at the couch in the living room where she had snacks and her script ready.

Flippy took a seat next to her, making sure he wasn't dirty or anything first. He couldn't have himself ruining the nice clean furniture. He took out his own script, reading over his lines with distaste. They were only going to rehearse a few acts anyways, so he didn't have to read the entire thing at least. "Shall we begin?" he asked, turning to their designated page while Flaky fidgeted.

Flaky nodded shyly, looking at Flippy from her side view while he sat next to her carefully. She gave a small laugh. It was a bit amusing how he could be so rough around the edges when it came to most thing but now he was oddly refined. Biting her lip she looked up the green haired teen, offering the softest of smiles to him, trying to poke fun at him to get him to loosen up like he had attempted to do for her in their Drama Class the other day.

"You...you can loosen up a bit y'know. I don't bite." The thought of Flaky putting any kind if pain on anything was laughable.

Flippy looked over at Flaky and smiled back, shrugging his shoulders and nudging her slightly with his arm. "Stealing my lines isn't cool y'know," he joked. Really, he was okay with her 'stealing' his lines. She actually did it right, at least. Unlike Giggles who built off of his jokes and failed miserably. He pointed to where an Act began, glancing over at her quickly. "Wanna start here?"

Nodding, Flaky looked over at the Act he was motioning to and quickly found her lines. Oh God wall of text...this was one of the longest lines she had, and probably one of the most infamous by Juliet. Aside from the tragic ending anyway. She cleared her throat, reading as fluently as she could from the script.

"But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks?

It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.

Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon,

Who is already sick and pale with grief,

That thou her maid art far more fair than she:

Be not her maid, since she is envious;

Her vestal livery is but sick and green

And none but fools do wear it; cast it off.

It is my lady, O, it is my love!

O, that she knew she were!

She speaks yet she says nothing: what of that?

Her eye discourses; I will answer it.

I am too bold, 'tis not to me she speaks:

Two of the fairest stars in all the heaven,

Having some business, do entreat her eyes

To twinkle in their spheres till they return.

What if her eyes were there, they in her head?

The brightness of her cheek would shame those stars,

As daylight doth a lamp; her eyes in heaven

Would through the airy region stream so bright

That birds would sing and think it were not night.

See, how she leans her cheek upon her hand!

O, that I were a glove upon that hand,

That I might touch that cheek!"

  • Author

"O, speak again, bright angel! for thou art

As glorious to this night, being o'er my head

As is a winged messenger of heaven

Unto the white-upturned wondering eyes

Of mortals that fall back to gaze on him

When he bestrides the lazy-pacing clouds

And sails upon the bosom of the air."

Oh, lord. That sounded so stupid, especially the way he had said that... He had noticed that when Flaky was alone with him, she did a better job of speaking her lines.

Flaky gave him a sympathetic smile, to show him he really hadn't done his lines half-bad. Smiling she continue to read off the script. She was a bit surprised at how much easier this was when it was just the two of them sitting next to each other. Maybe it was the fact that she had no one to inpress or seriously look up to. She had no one to be afraid of because one slip-up may cause an onslaught of ridicule.

"O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo?

Deny thy father and refuse thy name;

Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love,

And I'll no longer be a Capulet."

  • Author

Flippy was impressed, to say the least... He himself could hardly keep up, afraid he'd slip up on a word or two. It's not like his line was very long this time, and quite frankly, he couldn't understand most of what the hell was happening. Old English was really hard to understand, especially when spoken by two High School students. It sounded almost pathetic...

"Shall I hear more, or shall I speak at this?" Flippy almost laughed. He knew what that meant. It was a nicer way or saying, 'Are you done? 'Cause I wanna get a word in.' This part was almost done -- this was meant to be the climax of the story, yet he had a feeling that no one in their drama class would be able to decipher the hidden meanings of their words.

Flaky struggled not to laugh because she to had caught the meaning of Romeo's words yet Juliet's line completely cut him off. Apparently she wasn't done speaking yet. The red-head couldn't help but think that in a conversation, Juliet would be one of the only voices heard.

'"Tis but thy name that is my enemy;

Thou art thyself, though not a Montague.

What's Montague? it is nor hand, nor foot,

Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part

Belonging to a man. O, be some other name!

What's in a name? that which we call a rose

By any other name would smell as sweet;

So Romeo would, were he not Romeo call'd,

Retain that dear perfection which he owes

Without that title. Romeo, doff thy name,

A-And for that name which is no part of thee

Take all myself." Flaky fumbled slightly over one of the words, making her frown a bit. She had been doing so well to.

Flippy heard Flaky stumble on a word and hesitated, looking over at her with a smile. "Hey... If you're getting sick of reading for now, we could take a break." He suggested kindly. To be honest, he had gotten a bit tired as well... Maybe they should stop for just a minute. Flaky seemed a bit tired from reading all those complicated lines as well. He really had no idea she'd be reading so much in just one act.

Flaky nodded, giving a small sigh as she got up swiftly and maneuvered past Flippy. With her mind set to go to the kitchen she turned back to the green haired teen, hands clasped behind her back tightly. She had a tendency to swing them back and forth and do her ballet movements when in her home. Best not give them to much freedom.

"Do you want anything to drink?" She asked smoothly, her usual polite self ringing through as always.

  • Author

Flippy shook his head poiltely, declining her offer as nicely as he could. "No thanks," He said, smiling up at her. Flippy looked for an excuse not to have something to drink... He was thirsty, but not thirsty enough to drink something sounded elitist. If he just said he'd have something when he'd get home, he'd feel bad when he didn't. And if he said he didn't trust her, than that would be lying... Then again, almost all of those excuses were lies.

"I'm not that thirsty," That one sounded the most appropriate.

Flaky gave a nod of understanding, walking into the kitchen to grab some water from her fridge and add some ice to keep it cool. It was fine if the teen didn't want any--it was a drink. While in the kitchen though she grabbed the plate of cookies she had made earlier and brought them out, grinning softly.

"I didn't know if you were hungry or not so I made some for us to snack on."

  • Author
Flippy looked at the plate with slight longing. Cookies... He couldn't pass them up, even if sweets turned into fat for him. (He had a low metabolism, so he needed to keep himself healthy.) But one couldn't hurt, right? And they looked good... He doubted Flaky was bad at cooking, considering how much time she had on her hands. Flippy smiled at her softly. "You didn't have to do that, y'know," He made a small gesture with his hands, laughing. "I'm not a very needy guest. But I guess they do look good."

"I-I know...I just haven't had people over in such a long time. I didn't know what to really do." Flaky's embarrassment about her lack of experience in having friends over was clear. Even when Giggles and Petunia had come over her house in her younger years, when they were innocent and knew nothing of popularity, she had a problem understanding what she should do to prep for company. Usually her mom would order them sandwiches or pizza and organize the days events for Flaky and whatever friend she had over. But this was rehearsal for a project of the sorts--not a trip to the park or anything simplistic like that. There wasn't much she could do.

Setting the plate of the sweet chocolate chip treats down on the coffee table in front of them, Flaky sipped her water and popped on of the cookies in her mouth--smiling at the sweetness of them. She had succeeded in making them soft but slightly crunchy and not to chewy. Her mom made them practically melt in your mouth though.

"I hope you like them. It an o-old recipe."

  • Author

Flippy wasn't hesitant this time, chomping off a bit of the cookie; granted, he took big bites, so his 'a bit of the cookie' was really about half of it. He chewed a little before giving a look of surprise, though pleased with the taste. "It's really good." He commented, finishing it up before looking over at Flaky, who seemed to look lonely... He could expect as much. She probably hadn't had many guests over since Giggles and Petunia had left the friendship. He almost despised them (and himself) for being so quick to judge her on status. High school was cruel sometimes, but that's how the cookie crumbles... (<-- Bad pun?)

"Maybe I can come over again sometime... This really wasn't all that bad, even for practice."

((But it was cute xD))

Flaky looked up, her amber eyes wide with disbelief. She hadn't really thought Flippy would ask to hang out with her again. She wasn't that interesting, really. Especially when holding a conversation. Most of the time she had no clue what to even talk about with people like Flippy.

Trying to retrieve her ability to speak over her surprise and happiness, Flaky nodded her head. Her red hair followed the motion in a thick mess which was somehow managed with those white clips she held in her hair.

"I-I'd like that. A lot. It-It'd be nice to actually socialize with someone for once...." Flaky stated sadly, shuffling her feet.

Flippy felt bad for her... She lost all her friends, her status was in the toilet, she was picked on constantly... What a life. Flippy was Godly compared to her. He still had her number, though, so he could call or text her any time he wanted. "I'm sorry for everything that's happened to you," he stated. "I really just want to make it up to you." His mind wandered to Lifty and Shifty for a second. Those two... They were lower than dirt, he swore it sometimes. They were probably the worst out of all of them. Their sadism made him want to puke. Snapping out of that brief daze, he gathered up his script, flipping through the pages once more.

"It was fun, Flaky. I should get back home and call my mom before she flips out," He said, standing up at full height.

Flaky rose with him, rushing to open the door to let him out. She hated that he had to go so soon and leave her alone in the house again until her mom came home tomorrow on Wednesday but she couldn't stop him from leaving. She couldn't stop anybody from leaving. That thought struck slight sadness in her but she ignored it, amber eyes flickering up to look at Flippy's emerald orbs.

"O-Okay. Will you be able to make it home okay? It...It is a bit late."

  • Author

Flippy smirked at the thought of actually getting stopped by some creeper on the way back. In fact, he encouraged someone to do that. A mugger, a rapist, hell, even a murderer would be nice. They wouldn't know who they were dealing with and what horrors Flippy could unleash on them. But, he was male, and of an age that was considered unapproachable to most kidnappers since they were the ones with cell phones... And the ones who took Jiu Jitsu, in his case. "I don't think it'll be a problem, but thanks for your concern," He headed out, waving to her on the way back.

He checked his watch simultaneously. Only around six-thirty... But, considering their location and season, it got darker earlier, so it seemed a lot later than it really was. He hoped Splendid was still free.

Flaky waved him off, watching his figure retreat into the distance as he scaled the street fairly quickly. A shy smile made her way onto her face and she sighed happily. Finally something good happened in her life. Finally.

Splendid was indeed available. He was splayed out on his large mocha sofa, his blue bangs spread hotly over his forehead while his eyes remained contently closed. It was 6:30 but he was still awaiting Flippy, despite his sleeping appearance. He was actually wide awake so that he could leap out the door the second Flippy rang the doorbell of his house. Whenever he showed up. The bluenette still sported his basketball shorts and black muscle shirt, having felt to lazy to change into something other than being comfortable.

  • Author

Flippy didn't have time to meet him there, so he thought that halfway was enough. He took out his phone, calling him instead. He had dropped the script off at his house, sitting on the sidewalk near one of his neighbors' houses. He figured that if Splendid was available, he'd meet him halfway and they'd go wherever was best. If not, then he could just head back home and watch a movie curled up in a blanket on his own... Which sounded bland without having Splendid there to hold him. He got shy at the thought, awaiting for Splendid to answer his cell phone.

"Pick up," He muttered to no one in particular, though it sometimes helped to say that if you had a feeling they wouldn't answer.
