"Hey! I said let me-" He was pushed roughly onto a (surprisingly) unoccupied bed, Lumpy over him with a drunken grin on his face. Before Lumpy could possibly touch him in any way possible, he rolled out of the way, refusing to be helpless in a situation like this. Lumpy got back up to try to grab him, but it was no use. Searching for some kind of weapon, he grabbed a pillow.

"C'mon, Flippy, I won't hurt y-" Flippy held the pillow he had found over Lumpy's head, keeping it over him with all of his strength. Lumpy struggled, trying to free himself from the lethal hold Flippy had on him. "I... Can't... Breathe!" Lumpy protested weakly, losing his breath.

"...I know," Flippy replied darkly, feeling Lumpy give one last spasm before passing out. Flippy sighed, feeling that he had kept his word. He removed the pillow from over Lumpy's head, the bluenette's face white as a sheet, his eyes glassy and partially rolled back into his skull.

Flippy raised an eyebrow, then frowned. He checked Lumpy's pulse and felt a hitch in his breath. No firetrucking way. Flippy backed away from him slowly.

He had suffocated him.

Flippy couldn't believe it. He had only wanted to knock him out, but instead... He killed him. He committed murder... And he had to cover himself up. To make it look like an accident, he staged it to look like he had died of alcohol poisoning, placing a half-finished beer bottle in his limp hand, throwing the pillow across the room. He tried not to think about what he had just done and decided to text Splendid back. (He was probably worried about him... He had just killed Lumpy in fifteen minutes.)

I want to leave...

((I just watched an episode of HTF where Splendid is changing, someone sees him, and he screams like a girl. xDDD))

((That visual was great xDDD))

Splendid casually flipped his phone open and skimmed Flippy's short text--his mood still partially ruined because of what he had seen. Usually he'd be jumping up right away to go find his best friend and take him home in his mustang but at the moment...he wasn't feeling to generous.

I'm on the First Floor by the staircase. I have my keys so just meet me at the stairs I guess. Don't rush yourself.

Splendid wasn't entirely sure what he was trying to inquire with that last bit, if he was referring to what he was expecting to happen between him and Lumpy or if he really meant for him to collect himself. Maybe he figured he'd be more upset and jealous in seeing Flippy all pante and flustered due to someone that wasn't him--

The bluenette shook his head. No, he couldn't think like that. He didn't own Flippy and if someone made a move before him then...then that was his loss. He couldn't do anything about it. Even if the thought of Flippy being happy and smiling at someone other than him was tearing him apart.

((Poor Splendid D:))

((

- Just in case you wanna see. Apparently Splendid is also a journalist.))

Flippy was there in a matter of seconds; he wasn't that far away as it was. Flippy wasn't at all how Splendid had imagined him to be. He was anything but panting and flustered at the moment. He was more impatient to just get home... He had to sort things out. It was pretty traumatizing having committed murder on accident. Or...was it on purpose? No matter, he didn't want to think about it until he was safe in his own house. He gave Splendid a smile anyways, letting him know that he hadn't forgotten about him.

"You're ready to go?" He asked, using all of his strength not to get himself into a nervous breakdown.

((Oh dear God...I'm in the Hospital with no headphones, I'll watch it when I get home xD))

Splendid gave a small nod, thankful that Flippy wasn't as he negatively visualized. He took a rather rougher than usual grip on the teen's hand and pulled him out of the house, towards his car which he started up quickly, crawling into the driver's seat.

"....Have a good time?" He asked quietly, fixing his mirror and pulling on his seat belt before backing up in the driveway. He didn't notice anything odd about Flippy was happy to see there weren't any...marks on his pale neck or anything. It had been 15 minutes after all, Splendid wasn't sure what to expect.

  • Author
Flippy's gaze was cast to the ground. "...I wish I could say I did." He said, unable to remove the image of Lumpy's lifeless body out of his mind. The worst part was those eyes. They were so glassy and creepy... It was like staring at a dead fish's eyes. "...And I really regret leaving you there without telling you where I was going." He gave a sad pout, clenching his fists in his lap tightly. "I'm sorry." He apologized sweetly, a very serene tone to his voice. That was odd, considering the way he felt about killing someone not minutes ago.

((BRB, going dress shopping.))

Splendid looked over at Flippy and gve a sad smile, moving his hand over to Flippy's hesitantly and holding it gently as he kept his eyes on the road. When he apologized as cutely as that there was no way he could stay mad at him.

"It's okay, really. Don't worry about it." Splendid cooed, giving him a quick glance.

  • Author
As soon as Flippy felt Splendid's hand on his, he felt a little better. He glanced down at their hands before smiling, gently squeezing his hand back. "...Thanks. I," He paused, lacing their fingers together, leaning his head on the window like he did on the bus that morning. "appreciate it." He mumbled before feeling himself start to doze off. He woke himself up for the moment. Can't fall asleep now, he thought to himself. I'll get to sleep when I get home... But with how comfortable he was now, he didn't want to go home.

Splendid felt himself smile as Flippy's grip fell slightly slack, signifying he was asleep. The party really must have worn him out. He tried not to think of what he saw possibly happen between Lumpy and his friend, instead turning slowly around the corner to pull up to Flippy's house. Maybe Lumpy hadn't done anything to Flippy...maybe he was just imagining it. Maybe he should just stop thinking.

Splendid pulled to a halt in front of Flippy's house, pulling into the empty driveway. Looks like his mom was out (again) or the car was getting fixed (again). No, Flippy wasn't poor, but he found that his mom was tight on money for herself personally because she worked so hard on making Flippy's life perfect. Deciding that Flippy looked to cute to awaken, he snuck out of the car to the passenger side and opened Flippy's door. He caught the teen as he fell out of the seat--he had a habit of not wearing his seatbelt--and carried him up the driveway to the green haired teen's house, humming happily.

  • Author
Flippy stirred slightly in his sleep, clinging to Splendid's shirt, whimpering lightly. He didn't know he was being carried, or that Splendid of all people was carrying him. He didn't mind though, and even if he knew, he wouldn't protest against it. He waited until he was put into bed or something to awaken.

Splendid smiled down at Flippy, finding his reaction to be one he knew he should treasure. He knew he'd never find Flippy doing that again anytime soon, so he was incredibly gentle to lay Flippy down on his bed while holding him close to his chest. He figured that it was Friday so Flippy wouldn't mind him sleeping over and keeping warm for the night. Playing with a few strands of his green hair, Splendid felt his own eyes sliding shut to which he complied in allowing himself fall asleep. Flippy's bed was incredibly comfy anyway.

((Next Morning, Sunday, or Monday? You pick :D))

((Monday it is.))

Flippy couldn't possibly sit through the assembly in Lumpy's mourning. He was shifting in his seat the entire time uncomfortably. It was all basically just a lecture telling students why they shouldn't drink alcohol. Flippy internally gave a sigh of relief, glad that the cops and autopsy technicians had taken the bait. He couldn't let anyone know... He wouldn't tell a soul, no matter how much pressure was put on him. Afterwards, he was called down to the guidance counselor.

"Flippy," The guidance counselor began, her hands still folded neatly atop the desk. "We've decided that instead of putting you in detention for your reckless deeds, we'll be moving one of your classes for disciplinary measures. Your fourth period will no longer be English. Instead, you'll have Drama. English will be moved to your normal elective period."

Flaky was surprised to find she was crying throughout the whole entire mourning ceremony for Lumpy. She didn't know him very well and it was clear he hadn't liked her much but still, she couldn't help it. No matter how cruel a person was or how unfairly they acted, no one deserved to die in such a horrible way. Alcohol poisoning was really unfortunate and, for once, the red head was glad she hadn't been asked to attend one of Giggles' infamous house parties.

Flaky also noticed that several others were crying to. Lammy was whispering soothing words to Mr. Pickle about how it would never happen to him or her and how he shouldn't worry. Even Nutty and Toothy were looking somewhat upset. Giggles was crying a bit loudly but even Flaky knew Giggles hadnt really known Lumpy all to well. She was probably just upset a death had happened at her house of all places. But Flaky did have to sympathize her for that...

What really intrigue her with the whole ceremony though was Flippy's reaction to the news. He looked very uncomfortable and like he didn't want to be in the seat or the school for that matter. It was odd because Flaky didn't figure for him to be squeamish about death but then again, she didn't know much about him. She had missed out on a lot for the past few hours which wasn't much of a surprise.

~

After the whole ceremony and lecture from their deeply troubled principal, Flaky and her fellow students were sent to class and by now 3rd period was just beginning. Of course it was Math of all things but at least she had missed Gym. As she worked on some algebraic equations, it then struck her: Lumpy was in her next class--Drama. Furthermore, he was the leading role of Romeo. She couldn't help but wonder what their poor Drama teacher would do about their missing part.

  • Author

Drama and Flippy didn't get along so well. Back in Middle School, he had done Drama after school only because his mother wanted him to take part in something so he didn't waste all of his time on the computer waiting for Splendid to get home when she was at work. He wasn't a very good actor, or at least he didn't think he was, but he always got the 'Prince' or 'Love Interest' role because of his good looks. And on top of not being a good actor, he hated having a lot of speaking roles or appearances. Why? Because he'd either forget the lines, or he'd just ad-lib, and whenever he came on stage, or even just for practice, girls broke out in giggles and dreamy sighs. Quite frankly, he was bothered by too much attention in general.

He was just starting gym now, which ticked him off because he wasn't focused enough to compete in sports when he was distracted by the anxiety of Drama and, of course, Lumpy's death. He was relieved to find out that they were only playing a quick game of kickball (which didn't require much thinking) since some of their time had been taken up by that assembly. Flippy sighed, trudging into the locker room to get properly dressed. It felt weird without Lumpy there pervin' it up on him. But it was also relaxing to not hear his annoying voice or to feel his clammy hands on him anymore.

As class progressed, Flaky sighed, finishing her worksheet. First one done--as always. Now Flippy wasn't any A Track student, she was pretty average for her age bit she'd admit that Math was for some reason her best subject. When she was younger all the numbers confused her along with the switching from multiplication and addition to division and square rooting...but once she hit Freshmen year it all...just started to make sense to her. There was no incomplete marks on her homework anymore because she hadn't understood a question--which pleased her mom greatly. Her dad...well, he wasn't your best student in high-school either so he was proud so long as she passed the grade.

Unsure of what to do she got up to ask the teacher behind the desk if she had anything for her to do or if she could just relax. Of course, being a teacher, she told her to get started on that night's homework in her Algebra book. The only problem though: She had lost her Algebra book and History book to on Friday when she was getting tormented by Lifty and Shifty. When she had come back to the Gym after she was sure the twins would be gone she found her stuff missing. Lifty was in her class to.

Gulping, Flaky blushed a deep crimson as she quickly scribbled a note and had it passed across two seats to the bored and uninterested Lifty.

What did you and your brother do with my things on Friday? Please, I really need those books!

  • Author
Lifty, his chin in his palm boredly, reluctantly looked at the note before rolling his eyes, scrawling one back. He didn't want to talk to Flaky, even if it was indirectly, but whatever. He was bored, his ass hurt, and the bruises on his hips and bitemarks on his torso were starting to get sore. We didn't touch your things. Chances are they're in Lost and Found by now. He quickly passed the note over to the redhead two seats over, continuing his math problems normally.

((Pfft, I love how he tortures her when Shifty's around but when he's not he's like "whatever".))

Flaky read the note he had sent her over quickly, finding she had to dart her amber eyes over his messy scra twice to confirm what she had read. They hadn't actually taken her things? That was a first. And even Lifty wasn't being a complete, well, ass to her. He wasn't being nice either but it was definitely a better reaction. Hopefully he didn't decide to randomly turn on her...

Deciding not to reply, the red-head figured she'd check the Lost and Found after Drama during her Lunch period being she hardly ate anyway.

Splendid was in complete shock when he had heard about Lumpy's death via about a million texts he had been sent that morning. Having come in late to school (he had slept in due to his good dream) he had missed the entire ceremony and lecture by just 20 minutes. When be came in to his 3rd period History class he had been surprised to hear of his death. Apparently it had been by alcohol poisoning. That sucked.

When he had heard the news though he couldn't help but be slightly upset, immediately thinking of Flippy. What if he was completely torn up over it? Sure he had complained about Lumpy making a few moves on him and dislocated his wrist but what if...what if Flippy felt bad? Oh God he needed to text him. This time being careful to check where the teacher was, Splendid pulled out his phone.

Did you hear about Lumpy? What a freak accident...

  • Author

((Oh no, Lifty is just a bit tired and sore, so that's why he's like, "whatever." xD Even without his brother there, he'd still be mean to her.))

Flippy took out his phone, meticulously reading over his text. He tried to mask his dwindling nervousness by pretending to be uncaring. Well, he didn't really care anyways, but he was still guilty of murder. Relax, Flippy. It's over now. Don't worry yourself too much... It's bad for your heart. He typed back. I wouldn't say alcohol poisioning is a freak accident. It's his fault for drinking so much. And besides, if his death means his creepiness comes to an end, then good riddance. What about you? You seemed pretty mad at him for no specific reason... Why is that? That's something else Flippy had been wondering about... Why was Splendid so angry with Lumpy all of a sudden? He had been like that ever since Lumpy began flirting with Flippy... Which was suspicious, and almost as if... No, he couldn't have been jealous. I HATE Lumpy! What was there to be jealous of?

((BRB, going to Dairy Queen. I'll be back soon.))

((Okay, I'm making Easter Eggs so don't worry if I disappear, I'll text you when I get back so make sure your phone is on.))

Splendid paled a bit in reading Flippy's text. He knows. Oh God Oh God he knows! Just play cool Splendid. Just play. It. Cool. At first he himself hadn't known his true reasons for being so mad at Lumpy but he knew now and for a fact after the party that maybe he had inconveniently fallen in love with his best friend. It was intended on his behalf to do so! It just sort of happened. He supposed that just being around sweaty men in basketball uniforms could do that to you...

Looking up for a momentary teachers check he found he was safe so Splendid nervously texted Flippy back, his cheeks flushing a dark red as he attempted at lying.

I...I just didn't like the guy y'know? He was a total ass towards girls and he was being a real creeper on you, especially at the party, but I guess...I dunno'.

Splendid quickly ended his text, hiding his phone as he pretended to read a select passage from his History textbook quietly to himself.

  • Author
Flippy read that over a few times before beginning to write his reply back. He had really started to dislike Lumpy because he was being inappropriate around him. He blushed at that, smiling that sweet smile he only ever wore around Splendid, despite him not being there at the moment. You were that concerned about me? I can fend for myself, trust me... You're too sweet for your own good, I swear. (*・ω・) He shut his phone after a warning glance from the P.E. teacher, who was pointing at him with a meaty finger. He rolled his eyes. He wouldn't stop texting him just because of that.

Splendid blushed a bright red, covering his mouth to hide his wide smile and touched look. That was really unexpected of Flippy to say to him. Sure he been told he was cool, nice, and fun to hang out with. But he never expected the words sweet to describe him to come out of Flippy's mouth, or, fingers rather.

Sweet? Lol, who are you and what have you done with Flippy xD But really, thanks I guess~

  • Author
Flippy couldn't help but laugh at the response he was given. It was true; that probably came out wrong, but he couldn't think of another word to describe him at the moment. He was being sweet... Yeah. He wasn't used to anyone feeling concerned about him, or even being remotely kind to him like Splendid was. I mean, sure, he had plenty of female admirers that deeply cared for him... But not genuinely. They were only being nice and 'understanding' to get in his pants. But Splendid... he was the nicest guy he knew. He eagerly typed back, realizing he was barely paying attention to the kickball game anymore. Leave it to Splendid to know how to cheer him up. Hmm... Perhaps I worded that wrong, lol. But it's true. I appreciate your concern. It might sound weird to ask this but... Is it okay if I hold your hand sometimes? Ugh... He hated to ask that, but he couldn't help it... Aw well. All he could do now is hope that Splendid didn't find that question weird or anything.

((-spits out drink-AWWW, that's so cute!!! I made Easter Eggs and drew in them with crayon and I made Mr. Pickles xD))

Splendid felt his breath hitch in seeing Flippy's reply, his thumbs wavering, unsure of what to type. He knew Flippy hadn't meant it in a romantic kind of way--that wasn't how he was. But Splendid couldn't help but think of how that might tempt him if he was lacking in self-control on a particular day. Sure Splendid was usually really good at controlling his actions and emotions but he had his days. And if anyone asked, those were the days Splendid would politely decline Flippy's to hang out and...er, well you get the point I suppose.

Finally he decided that, what the hell, might as well give it a go. It's not like they'd be holding hands in the hallways or anything, probably just when they were alone hanging out at Splendid's house or Flippy's. Oh God this was going to be harder than he thought.

Ah, sure, I guess ^^' Can I ask why though with the sudden question?

  • Author

((Lol, I colored eggs with my mom too, and she wrote 'I HEART SQUALO' on one of them while I decorated a blue one as chibi Splendid. xDD firetruckING LOL AT SPLENDID BEING TEMPTED TO HAVE SEX WITH FLIPPY.))

Flippy hadn't been sure of the exact reason himself... But there were so many possibilities. Friendship, warmth, serenity... A lot. He gulped, writing his reply slowly but surely. Well... Agh, this sounds so weird... But I feel that when two people hold hands, it shows that they keep together a lot. I guess you can call it emotional support since I haven't felt protected very often. But when I'm around you, it's different. I feel safer. He blushed after sending it, realizing how weird that sounded. 'Keep together'... He didn't mean that in a romantic way at all. He just felt that if he held hands with Splendid, they'd be connected more often. Those spaces between his fingers were meant for him to fill.

((Bet you can guess what he's doing after he declines his hang out time with Flippy ;D THAT LAST LINE MADE ME GIGGLE SOOOO BAD <333))

Now Splendid was really blushing, his navy eyes widened in happiness and an irresistible smile unable to be forced down. Splendid's hand covered his mouth slightly, trying to hide his sudden glee before he blinked and realized with a stunned expression he was...Holy shit was he crying? Good thing the teacher was busy grading papers or else that'd be hard to explain...

He was sure that Flippy had only meant it as a close friendship sort of way but that's why it touched him so. Never, for as long as they were friends, had the green haired teen say something so sweet and caring towards him. If Splendid wasn't head over heels in love with him before he was now. The only downfall to his crush was that he may never have his feelings returned. But that was okay as long as Flippy was still there for him.

I...thank you Flippy. You really have no idea how much you've brightened up my day with that :')

  • Author

((Oh wow, I just got that too. xDD))

Flippy was glad that he was able to 'brighten his day,' as Splendid had bluntly put. No problem. The bell is going to ring in a few minutes, so I have to go get dressed. I'll see you in a bit. He shut his phone, making his way to the locker rooms as the gym teacher blew his whistle, which signaled the end of class.

He lifted his shirt over his head upon arrival in the locker room, putting his beret back on after putting on one of his every-day shirts, this one being a black muscle shirt, which he covered up with his usual army green jacket. Holding hands with Splendid... Just the thought made him feel a bit awkward, but still safe nonetheless. Holding hands made them keep balance too, when he thought about it. In a way, they were opposites, but he thought that if he were to keep that contact with him, they could be like two sides of the same coin. One just couldn't exist without the other. He ignored that thought for the moment, pulling up his black jeans and buttoning them up, followed by the zipper. Look at him, analyzing this so closely... How unusual.
