1x1 RP means no one posts except for me or Toasty. Thank you!

This is an Original RP, and since I have used my own characters for this, please don't use them without my permission. 8D

ROLES:

Toasty: Yuri, Miyato, Katya.

Belyxsh: Maggie, Lin, Kwik, Rein.

I'm not gonna give away too much about the plot, but please read on to find out! I'll commence the first post. :3

**

Kwik had always been isolated.

Not just in his mind, but it was outwardly obvious that he wasn't exactly the most popular kid in The University. But Kwik didn't care much about those kinds of things... Popularity and love and social activities... Who needed them? Kwik needed nothing more than books and flourescent lighting to be entertained for the rest of his life.

Perhaps that's what made him socially awkward.

(A bit short, but more detail will be added when the plot becomes more apparent.)

((Sorry for the obnoxiously long wait. I was a bit unsure on how to reply and I needed to re-read the summary you gave. I'm still incredibly nervous about posting since these are your characters and I feel like I night screw it up...))

He really couldn't see the point in all of this.

All of the private planning, the discussions, and the importance of his role. He couldn't fathom why, out of all the younger members in their society, he was chosen to do this. Why he had to be the one to dirty his hands this time. All of this trouble and sneaking around - just for some random child within the University that they had their eyes on.

Yuri's maroon eyes slid shut from behind his thin, black framed glasses. It was to complicated for his liking. Just once he'd appreciate being able to go at least a month without doing anything that pushed him to put forth more effort than he really wanted to exert (which wasn't much mind you). A hand twitched towards his crimson red hair as an old habit of his whenever he was either thinking or very agitated - but he restrained the habit. When he was younger he was told that the smallest of things combined with key events could draw suspicion.

Not that Yuri could really say he expected anyone in this particular hallway of bustling students to catch on to him mindlessly tugging his fringe.

"Such a pain..." He muttered lowly, his suavé voice humbling with the rest of the noise, looking around for his re-assigned classroom.

((Oh God I hope that was okay with you. I didn't know what you were looking for at all. I hope this is acceptable ;_;))

((Don't worry about it! That was awesome! 8D Just keep him with the calm, slightly stoic personality like you gave him, and you've got it in the bag.))

Kwik attempted to cut through the crowded hallways, holding a binder to his chest with his messenger bag slung over his shoulder with ease, pressing against his hip in the claustrophobic corridors that were filled to look like a traffic jam. He moved bravely, taking long strides through the bustling crowd, apologizing and stuttering out "excuse me"s to be polite. But even common courtesy was too much nowadays, and he was pushed about, bumping into several people. He was always sure to apologize, a troubled look on his face as he was relentlessly shoved around.

He had just barely made it to his next class, Psychology, in one piece. Kwik was always the first one in, and always the last one out - that was how it always was. Like tradition. No one sat next to him since he was considered a "weirdo," which isn't exactly a compliment. In Sandrose, being an individual, or dressing differently, or having a weird hairstyle was deeply frowned upon. It's not like Kwik tried to be different, it just kind of...happened. He's been this way for the entire seventeen years of his life, though, so he's gotten used to the odd treatments.

He greeted his professor with a small wave as he always did, earning a smile back. At least I know that the adults like me... Maybe a little bit....

((That's a relief~ By the way, can you give me more information on what Yuri's "mission" is that you mentioned in the PM? Just message me if you need to.))

Pulling open the heavy door, Yuri walked into his new classroom, briefly looking around the spacious area. It was more of your less typical room - the sudents being seated at circular tables meant for two rather than singular desks. This room was in a noticeably warmer environment too, the atmosphere relaxing as opposed to stressful. There was a slight smell of insence but not to heavy and Yuri felt his muscles relax just slightly. With such an easy-going mood, an aura that wouldn't stress him out to much throughout this assignment.

The people in the class looked friendly enough, some looking at a textbook for their lesson review of today and others exchanging small chatter back and forth. A laugh here and there, nothing to different then what you could expect from the rest of the student body in the University. And then, his wandering eyes caught his target. He sat alone towards the back - not a surprise from the description he was given and whatnot about his basic personality traits.

Sighing lowly under his breath, he slipped his hands in his pockets and walked with as best leniency as he could to the empty seat next to the timid boy in the back, giving only a brief nod to his new teacher who was busy unloading some work for the course. Swallowing, Yuri made is way around the tables to the young boy, internally debating as to how he was going to approach him.

((Long delay was long, sorry.))

((Y'know how I mentioned Kwik was in foster care...? His mother was his only parent at the time, and she died when he was little, so she had him put in foster care. His father, whom he had never met, actually turns out to be the "Leader" or the "Big Boss" of the con-artists. Yuri was assigned to look for Kwik because he thinks it's a recruitment, but it turns out, Kwik was meant to success his father.))

Kwik made an audible gulp as he felt someone approaching him. It was rare for anyone to come up to him like that, especially with such a weird presence coming about. Kwik was too afraid to lift his head up or to move his gaze to see who it was, so he just minded his own business, pretending that he wasn't there for the time being. Instead, he unpacked his stuff, taking out his notebook and preparing for class as he always did.

He didn't hate the company of others at all. He was just too shy and busy to really do anything. Whenever someone approached him, or uttered a word to him, he'd immediately tense up and his throat would close, cutting off any form of speech that threatened to escape his throat. Most people just saw this as rude, but really, it was quite the opposite. Kwik was as polite as could be, but he was at a loss for words when someone would suddenly appear.

Physical contact was even worse. Even if on accident, there would be lots of blushing and stuttering... That is, if you managed to touch him. Even with a simple handshake, Kwik would brace himself and flinch. He always assumed he was going to get hurt whenever someone raised a hand to him. Paranoia manifested itself in the queerest of ways...

((I see. And you mentioned he was abused right..?))

Yuri picked up on how his form stilled as he approached the table to be seated at and felt a frown settle on his face. From what he was briefed on, he was shy. Very shy. He didn't look like he'd be very helpful at all within the organization. Maybe as bait but truthfully, he couldn't picture him as anything crucial. He wondered why his boss was so kheen on recruiting him.

Despite the questions beginning to come to mind it really came down to the fact that his doubts didn't matter. All that mattered was that he carried out his mission without fail like he was prided to do. By the looks of the kid, he just might be able to get this over by noon and head to his dorm for a nice nap.

Sitting down carelessly in the chair beside the (obviously timid) teen, Yuri flipped some of his crimson hair out of his maroon eyes and gave a gentle side-glance to him, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose. He had to be careful not to look through the lenses directly. Just looking through them this morning was giving him a headache.

"Hey,"

((Yeah. His mum was a bit of an alcoholic, and she died of kidney failure.))

Oh, God. Kwik went into a nervous frenzy within his subconscious, jumping at the sound of someone verbally greeting him. There was a pause, and Kwik mustered up the courage to very briefly flicker his gaze towards the other person and look at them. It was a guy, a good deal taller than him, and looked kinda sour, to say the least.

His voice caught in his throat, but he managed to part his lips and reduce his stuttering. "U..." He began. He gulped again, before squeaking out a pathetic "Um." His own loss of words caused a huge wave of embarrassment to wash over him like a tidal wave, and he felt every nerve in his face set on fire. His face was really red, his blush extending to the very tips of his ears. I'm such an idiot, Kwik cursed himself, clenching and unclenching his fists. My one impression... Blown. It was at times like these that Kwik wished he could hide under his hat without seeming even freakier.

Yuri raised an eyebrow at the boy's reaction, fighting the urge to roll his eyes. He knew from the file that he was shy but couldn't he even muster the word 'hi'? God I really don't want to be bothered trying to do this... He internally muttered, propping his head up on the palm of his hand, looking at him with the best mildly interested look he could bring himself to muster. He couldn't afford to get scared off.

"My name's Yuri - what about you?" He stated calmly, trying to show he wasn't affected in the slightest by the quivering and nervous display he was given. He had to wonder why this boy was so quiet and paranoid with everything he did. There was nothing about his past or experiences recorded down. He had to wonder if it was crucial to get to know this teen to recruit him. If he'd have to pretend to care. Not that that was something new to him. Lying for his line of work.

It took all of Kwik's strength to turn to him and try to be sincere, but he still hadn't done anything about his voice, so it just came out as more stuttering. "K-K-...." He cleared his throat, which wasn't the smartest thing to do either. Now it just seemed like he was trying too hard to do this right. Just your name... You can do this. "Kwik," He muttered, looking back at what he was doing. Avoiding conversations couldn't be good, especially with his awkwardness, but what should he say...? It took too much thought to come up with something like that.

"You..." He began, wanting to stop himself right then. Not good. He had already began speaking, so he had to finish what he started. "...I haven't... seen you here before..."

Good...some progress,

He shrugged his shoulders in the way that any student with his attitude would do, putting on the best smile that he could. Nothing confident or cocky and he tried his best to steer away from cruel. He just wore a simple curve of his lips, something that spoke more of a "what could you do look". He figured trying to show some sort of emotion to this boy - Kwik - was a sure way to get close to him. So at least the fidgety blond didn't think he was inhuman or out to get him. Which he was. But acting was at least some part of his job.

"Nah, I'm new around here. A transfer into this class anyway. I have dorm just across campus. My classes usually aren't down here." He stated with a small shrug knowing that at least some of that was the truth. He did take other classes here - this wasn't the only one (but if anyone asked he hardly showed up only because of much of a process he considered it to be).

"I can't say I've seen you either," His face slipped back into his stoic expression, his eyes darting around to take in the teen's appearance. His blue eyes were a bit bigger than most, watery but not teary, and some messy, untamed blond haired poked out from under his hat. Kwik's clothing wasn't much different but there was just a certain way he held himself that made Yuri notice he was definitely not comfortable with how close he was sitting next to him. And he was on the other side of the round table. "Is this your only class?"

((I have school tomorrow... Blah.))

So far so good, Kwik soothed himself. Just keep calm. He was in a mixture between anxiety and excitement that he was actually beginning to have a conversation with someone. But the back of his mind was telling him something different... He's forgetting that Yuri is new here, so he probably doesn't have much knowledge on Kwik's reputation as a freak. Kwik would definitely be left behind before they could actually become friends. Kwik decided to savor the moment.

"N-No," He stammered, fidgeting in his seat. "I take...six more..." He played with the hem of his sweater nervously, struggling to make eye contact with the other male. Ocassionally, he'd look up at him. But once he saw that Yuri was still looking at him, he'd turn red and move his gaze elsewhere, only to repeat the process until he felt comfortable enough.

((I think I start Wednesday :3))

Yuri felt his eyes widen at that on cue like most others would and he faked interest. Although he was a bit surprised he was brave enough to sit through six classes full of people who he couldn't trust. With how he acted, Yuri could only suspect Kwik was a sure fire target for ridicule or being shunned.

"Six classes? Really?" He folded his nimble fingers together, elbows leant on the hard wood table top of the desk. His maroon eyes flicked to the teacher at the front desk, wondering what exactly was taking him so long. Was it always this long of a wait before he started their lesson?

((LUCKY. No one I know is on my bus... I'll be sitting near people I don't know. ;__; That puts a lot of pressure on me.))

Kwik gave a soft, yet weak smile, glad that at least someone was listening to him. Even if he was only pretending to be interested, he still felt a little less lonely with company there. He forced his smile back, biting his lips together so it didn't seem like he was happy over something so small... That would seem weird.

The second bell rang, signaling that lessons would begin soon, and Kwik, being the studious young fellow that he was, gave full attention to the front of the room.

"Class, settle down," The professor surveyed the class with a stern look, and Kwik's classmates quieted down, some of them still grinning with early morning giddiness. As the silence was guaranteed, the Professor continued. "We'll be doing a very important project later today, so listen carefully..."
