Is a Jak and Daxter HD Collection Coming to PS3?

According to a South African online merchant, the answer is yes.

HD Collections are all the rage on PlayStation 3 right now. It all kicked-off with the God of War Collection, followed by The Sly Collection, and more recently followed-up by the likes of God of War Origins, The Team ICO Collection and the Splinter Cell Collection.

And if Digital Spy is to be believed, Jak and Daxter HD Collection will continue the trend.

According to Digital Spy, an online business in South Africa known as BT Games had the hypothetical collection listed for release in January of 2012. This listing no longer appears on the site, and there's no screen-cap proving the listing was ever there in the first place. Thus, whether or not the collection is real or not remains to be seen, though we've reached out to Sony for comment and will update this story as soon as we hear back.

There have been six Jak and Daxter (or related) games released since 2001, a series created by Naughty Dog (Crash Bandicoot, Uncharted). Four were released on PlayStation 2, one on PlayStation Portable, and one on both PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable. What games this collection will contain, if real, also remains to be seen.

Damn you Square. lol

Anyway, I think it'd just be Jak 1, 2, and 3.

It would probably just be the first three, but it would be so cool.
