“In December, a federal judge ruled that Ghost Rider creator Gary Friedrich had given Marvel all rights to the character, ending a four-year legal battle. Now, the court has also ruled in Marvel’s favor in a counterclaim against Friedrich, ordering him to pay $17,000 for Ghost Rider prints he’s sold at conventions and banning him from making any money by billing himself as “the creator of Ghost Rider.”But those prints were sold over a period of years, and Friedrich is now flat broke, Bleeding Cool reports.Friedrich intends to appeal the decision, and supporters (including comics writer Steve Niles) have set up a donation page on his behalf.”
This is a very annoying lawsuits in comics
-He can’t say he created Ghost rider and get credited for what he did
- So a company owned by Disney is suing a creator a guy who is not rich at all 17,000 because he’s selling things at conventions which would help people get into the character. So he can’t sell sketches or printing or anything or that nature.Basically things Fans would want from a creator
- Marvel is trying to make people stop selling sketches and things or that nature and are using this guy as example by suing 17,000 which it would be hard for him to pay.
Deadshot's editorial
This is my opinion.
Marvel Doesn’t need the 17,0000$

- How will 17,000 help Marvel in anyway?
