Posted

Story and future: "Why can't I just be a new person? get new memories?" She said, and an ominous voice responded "Because it doesn't work that way. If your memories are not restored, you will die" "But you said that I would forget them. They're my dearest friends, isn't there another way?" "NO. There is only Die or Forget them!" "Then I'd rather die!"

Her memories are gone, and they must restore them. They are her dearest friends, and she never wants to leave them, but she will die if she does not. Will they let her die there, knowing that her friends are with her, or will they choose that she means so much to them that they would do anything to make her whole again?

Ahiru rummages around her room, looking for her cloak. She was getting out of the castle WITHOUT the guards following her around. Her friends had just returned from their adventures and she wanted to see them this lovely morning. Finally, she found her cloak and slung it around her shoulders, carefully hiding her overly long braids and putting the hood over her silver hair. She looks around and puts on strong leather gloves, ties one end of her rope to the her bed, and tosses the other out her window, slowly climbing down. She swiftly runs for the town where her friends had stopped, happy to be out of the castle to see them again. She was ready to welcome them home.

Kasumi breathed in the familiar air of her home town. She wasn't in her usual blue dress as she had just come back from a job. Now she had on brown boots, and thick pants witha plain red shirt.

" Good to be home." She said softly looking around, she then spotted a cloaked figure running toward them.

" Look shes here." She said to her friends who always went on their journeys. She smiled and waited for the cloaked girl to get closer.

Ahiru grins under her hood and pounces at Kasumi, causing the hood to fall back. She smiles as wide as she can and chuckles "Welcome home!" She starts interrogating her "Didya miss me? Did you get hurt? What'd you find?..."

Kasumi quickly hugged her friend and her eyes widened at all the questions.

" Haha slow down! Yes I missed you, no I'm not hurt, and nothing out of the ordinary. Just boring ruin stuff." Kasumi said with a wink.

" How has the castle been princess?" She asked looking around the city.

Ahiru gets up and off of Kasumi and brushes off her cloak, putting her hood back up "Boring, as always. It took me a while to get the guards to stay out of my room. They know I sneak out, and father wants to make sure I 'don't get hurt'. They're probably raiding my bedroom right now, climbing down my rope and getting terrible rope burn. In a sense, I feel bad, but mostly, I really, really don't. I'm just glad I'm out here with no guards to bother m--" an merchant's hand settles on her shoulder. The woman is carrying a basket of fresh apples, and has a charming smile on her face "Would any of you like an apple?" she said kindly looking at them all. The basket was full, which means there weren't many takers on the apples, and she was looking for a little bit of help. The town was poor, and so help was exactly what they needed.

Ahiru paused and looked the poor woman over and smiles kindly. She looks at Kasumi with a grin "Would you like one?" she knelt down and looked at the apples, causing her hood to fall back again "How much are they, ma'am?" the woman smiled "Go ahead, just take one." Ahiru blinked in confusion "Is...Is that alright?" the merchant nodded "Of course. It is not often that the princess herself comes to the market." suddenly, a crowd forms with murmurs of how the princess was with them. Through the cloud of people came our 'best friends'. The Royal guards.
